Here are instructions for draining the water system in an Intech Sol Dawn Rover:
1) Refer to the manufacturer's instructions: Always follow the specific instructions provided by the manufacturer for your RV model.
2) Disconnect the water supply: Unhook any water supply connected to the RV and ensure that the water heater and any pumps are turned off. Allow sufficient time for the water to cool down.
3) Remove seat over the water tanks:Remove any covers or seating that obstruct access to the water system, providing clear visibility and space to work.
4) Open floor drains: Locate the floor drains for the water lines and the hot water tank. Open these drains to allow the water to flow out.
5) Open faucets and shower lines: Open all faucets and shower lines inside the RV to allow water to drain from the system. This ensures the complete removal of water from the lines.
6) Access the water heater: Remove the exterior access panel to reach the water heater.
7) Release pressure from the water heater: Release the pressure in the water heater by activating the pressure relief valve. This will allow any built-up pressure in the tank to escape. Water will often
8) Remove the anode rod/water plug: Using a 1-1/16" socket, carefully remove the anode rod or water plug from the water heater tank.
9) Inspect the anode rod for deterioration, and if necessary, obtain a replacement. It's advisable to keep a spare anode rod in your water system kit.
10) Drain the water: Allow the water to drain completely from the water heater tank.
11) Flush the tank: Use an RV Tank Rinser to flush out any debris or sediment that may be present in the tank.
12) Ensure complete drainage: Allow the tank to fully drain, and use a towel or cloth to absorb any remaining water in the access panel area.
13) Replace the anode rod/plug: If the anode rod was deteriorated or worn out, replace it with a new one. Apply plumbers tape to ensure a proper seal and to prevent corrosion on the internal threads of the tank.
14) Reset the water heater release valve: Set the water heater release valve to the off position.
15) Close floor drains and faucets: Close the floor drains inside the camper and return the sink faucets and shower to the off position.
By following these instructions, you can effectively drain the water system in your Intech Sol Dawn Rover.
