    I believe that bird was a young ”common murre.” They are diving birds and can dive up to 60 meters. After they moult they become flightless for a period of time. It was perfectly fine, it’s common for people to think they are injured.

  • @imthebestthingsincerice5122
    @imthebestthingsincerice5122 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    I subscribed because you show honestly how it is when you go fishing, where at times even if you cast on an area that can harbor alot of fish. Sometimes they are not there and you go home empty handed and do the walk of shame.
    Btw I have fishing days where the bites are so slow that the moment I hook on to a fish, it feels like I won the lottery then I finesse the fish as best as I can so I dont lose it.

    There are some monstrous stripers working the surf and chowing on jack smelt. Its that time of year again where the 30 and 40 lbers are making some amazing shows as anglers tossing big top water plugs connect. Saw a 48 inch on 8-1. Also hooked a small smooth hound shark during the day and it got eaten by a White shark right in the surf. did not see anyone go into the water after the incident. lol!!!

    hey man, appreciate this video, I learned my lesson the hard way, to scout the area first during low tide, as I went alone to this far location during high tide thinking it was a good deep spot, but later realized, after losing a good amount of line, more than a dozen sinkers and hooks, that the area is made of rocky shallow area during low tide that you can actually just stroll there, that's why all my casts were snagged by rocks. Can't get over that bad experience. Didn't get anything but heartache and colds, lol.
    btw, just want to know why did you release the catch, that's a legal size somehow, right?

  • @Machster10

    It depends upon the beach and the height of the high tide. Many sandy beaches in Norcal can fish better during the low tide only because you can reach the trough. If the the tide is not of a great enough height to fill in the beach slope and create slack, fish will not swim up on the beach slope. You'll just end up fishing unproductive and shallow backwash where fish do not hold. The better question is are fish more active during high tides and high tidal coefficients? The answer is yes.

      They both pretty much the same, the only difference is the Dark Matter has shorter arm, it measures 12” from butt to reel seat. Dialuna has 15” I believe 🤔
