My wife and I are 6 feet apart, social distancing!! Be safe!! She doesn't even have to know who I'm watching, the Fish on fish on and Whoooo gives it away every time. When she saw the fish she said to tell you that you can Whooooo all you like!!!
    Your videos make her happy!
And you get a wow from me!
We watch your vids in the den while having our morning coffee.
Next time call your wife!! She will get you a bigger fish!!!!!
Due to the distance, I don't get to surf fish, it's a 4-hour drive and we haven't found a camping beach in the area yet. When we do then we will be over there more often!!

That Dark Matter Spining Rod has very interesting specifications. They are currently out of stock like many other sports related equipment. Two times out to fish, 1st 24" next 34." It's great to connect with nature during this difficult time for our nation. Thank you for the video and be safe.

Good advice. years back as I got into fishing i bought a 10’ daiwa eliminator surf, the problem is it’s MH. AND to damn bulky to maintain casting lures, so if you’re a beginning surf fisherman pay attention to this detail. It’s not only about the length of the rod. Now I’m looking for a Med action in that length. Keep up the good fishing maestro!

Question - when you use sand crabs for bait do you only use soft shell or hard or either work?

How far can you cast light lures like LC 110 on a rod that is rated for heavier lures? If i wanna cast LC110 do i need to find a surf rod with smaller lure weight or can it still cast on the budget rod you recommend?

On Dark Matter rod you can get the max distance with LC. I threw 2oz lure on that rod and have no problem with it.
On the budget rod yes you can cast lighter lures like LC

I’ve ran into more situations where the lure does not to be cast real far. To say you need to cast far on the surf for striped bass is just wrong. Most of the fish are right in the wash.

IMO, I say to cast far to cover more water. That’s great, if you catches more striper just casting close in the wash and that for sure will save you a lot of energy. Thanks for watching

My surf casting rods can handle 8 oz. sinkers plus two baits. Get a better pole. I cast 60 yards.

Edward from hook2cook has answered some of my questions regardless of gear. Ive been fishing for about 2 months on the surf using strictly lures, Ive spent so much money on different types of lures and I havent even got a single bite. I fish locally near you in the SF area. Any tips as far as technique?
