I remember wanting to leave an art gallery as a child and telling my mum 'this isn't for us'. I realise how often I disqualify myself from so many good things because they're not 'for me'.
Thank you so much for sharing. It’s a hard pill to swallow when we realize we’ve been in our own way, but it’s also super freeing. It’s totally for you!!! 😉😘
“Protecting ourselves from failure either by not taking action or by quickly giving up is the quickest way to not get where we are trying to go. A privileged mindset actually sees failure as part of the journey of becoming rather than it being the end of the line.” Kristi, this is SO important! So many times in my life, I have given up on things way too early because I was embarrassed that I wasn’t automatically great at it. I really cheated myself out of the opportunity to grow through the failure. It took me a super long time to learn that the pain of failure is temporary but if I can push past it, I can achieve my goals. Young women, ALL women, EVERYONE, please hear what Kristi is sharing with you. It will change your life!
I love and appreciate you! When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. I love that you are genuinely yourself. You give your all to your videos. There is so much within you, and I want to thank you for helping someone your mama's age or older. Thanks a million!
Thank you so much for your kind words! It means a lot to know that my efforts resonate with you. I truly believe that learning is a two-way street, and I’m grateful to share this journey with you.
I am using this mindset to quit smoking. I have tried multiple time but this time I found myself disgusted by the smell of cigarettes. It's not easy but this is a habit that is not serving me ANY good (an unhealthy relationship/attachement). This is my 4th time quitting.. I will never stop trying.
Yes, rooting for you! It's great to hear that you're tackling quitting smoking! Disgust towards the smell is a powerful realization-it shows you're shifting your perspective. I imagine that it's definitely a challenging journey, but your determination to keep trying is SO very inspiring. Every attempt brings you closer to breaking free from that unhealthy attachment. Remember, it’s all about progress, not perfection. Keep believing in yourself-you’ve got this!
This is God speaking to me. Thank You Lord for the explanation! I GET it now. Yes Dad, I'll listen again. Wow Kristi, from His heart thru your lips. The mindset that if i need it, He will provide it. I do NOT have to buy enough. HE has enough.
I don’t know why I sit on my ideas now, and I can’t afford therapy to find out rn lol. I am only 33, and when I was younger I went to school twice, always had two jobs, started businesses as soon as I thought them, and I always met by poverty, haters and authority issues. I’m working on that, I didn’t come here to be a victim. I love your channel, and you inspire me to try again as I am older now and have accepted failure as a part of life. I am finally more financially stable and I’ve started slowly investing in a new business. But sometimes it brings me to tears that I don’t move as fast as I used to when I had nothing but a dream and I don’t know why bc this is the perfect time to do it. Thank you for showing up and continuing to support us through your journey and your channel ❤
You still have time, babe! Can't dwell on the past too much, just keep pushing forward and make a plan for the life and future you want. I believe in you. 💜💜💜
@@kristidoingthings you’re so right, and I am back to my hustle and grind. Sometimes it all does get overwhelming, but I know how I’m built and the God I serve, I’ll never stop until I have everything I deserve for me and my family. Thank you again for taking your time to help women like me, it means so much 🥰🫶🏿
I don’t know what it is about you Kristi but like you and a few others when you said things I get clarity. The last part about digging further on something dumb or doing something(s) that others may not understand have me soo much clarity. Your first privilege vid…the part when you said we use to have a sense of privilege when we were younger but lost it along the way but now you got it back was the one for me. I’m in a transition now I’m finally here. Hearing you say that I really related to which cause me to identify the fact that I’m doing this..I’m here. Not gonna lie I can’t take the credit God knocked on my hearts door last year and I’m still here allowing him in my heart and take the wheel of my life daily. It’s not always easy but I’m learning more and more there is indeed blessings and blessing in the battles as well. Have an awesome one 🛴✌🏾
So excited for you that you’re finding that mindset again and that it’s resonating with you! And you are so right- it’s 100% God guiding us and giving us direction. Our part is to act in courage on His leading! 🫶🏽
These are the most motivating videos I've seen in a long time! Thank you so much ! I think of writing some of your statements and messages down and hanging them on the wall. (Sorry If my English is not correct. Greetings from Germany!)
I'm on my path to change that mindset for about 20 years now and have come far, but there is something still difficult. It is struggeling with self worth beyond the basics. Am I worthy going to that fancy restaurant, to fly business class, to have a nice home in a good neighbour hood, to buy expensive food items? There is still this voice in my head saying: It's not neccissary to survival. We are not those types of people. We don't need that. We aren't snobby.... But the thing is: If you go to those places, you talk to people, who go to those places. You get new input, you might even get connections. That all counterbalances the voices and people, who are although with good intend trying to hold you back.
Eph 1.4 YOU are chosen to be holy and without fault in the eyes of God thru the blood of Jesus. You, sweet one. You are more than enough, you are His treasure!
The struggle with self-worth, especially when it comes to enjoying life’s luxuries, is a big one to overcome. It’s perfectly okay to want more for yourself, and recognizing that you deserve those experiences is a huge step forward. The voice in your head may be trying to keep you grounded, but it’s also important to challenge it and consider the benefits of stepping outside your comfort zone. Engaging with new environments and people can open doors to opportunities and perspectives you might not have encountered otherwise. Remember, wanting a fulfilling life doesn’t make you snobby; it makes you human. Embrace those desires-they can lead to growth and connection! Keep pushing through those barriers; you’re on the right track! 🌟
That's great! I'm happy you were able to get your dream job in higher education. My dream is to become an author. I'm over 50, but I'm not giving up. As long as I have breath in my lungs it's not too late.

Aww, thank you so much, friend! It’s definitely been years of work and healing.
I'm guilty of sitting on ideas for way too long! Fear of failure has kept me in the planning phase. It's time to take action!

Preachhhhh! Love this topic. A few things hit home for me, like the 'save this for later' mentality. I have major decluttering to do.
Chile…that was a rough one to overcome!!! So happy it translated well for you!
I really enjoyed this, thank you for the insight. I will definitely reflect this n this and the opportunities I have so I don’t lose my power.

You taught middle school? I teach middle school in an impoverished area. Many of my students have this same mindset.
Yes, ma'am! It's a fun age. I really tried to show them there was more out there for them if they want it.
