I finally became a yoga teacher this year after wanting to do it for 20 years! It was a leap of faith to start the training last year but I took it. Now, I am teaching my first weekly class of my own in a few weeks. The six months of teacher training were only the beginning. Now, the work of growing as a teacher and connecting with my students begins! Hopefully, in 6 months to a year, I will be enjoying a moment like I see you having right now. (If it happens sooner, that’s okay too!) I am very happy for you. Thank you for sharing everything you go through and not trying to make it look easy. You are giving people real, honest advice based on experience, not just creating flashy videos about what is trending. This is so vitally needed! Thank God people are finding you now. I usually just smile when I hear people making comments about someone being, "an overnight success." Often, it took years of training and hardwork for them to get that opportunity that they then have to step out in faith to start that long-awaited launch. A story that often comes to mind is about a man that planted bamboo. He took weeks to prepare the ground. Then he planted the bamboo. Then he covered it with soil. He continued to fertilize and water the area. He continued to pull the weeds, to keep the soil available for only the bamboo. There is zero signs of any results for three years. Then, one day, small green shoots begin to break through the surface of the soil. He continues to fertilize, to water, to weed. That bamboo is now growing a foot of height per day, as it reaches for the sky. And that entire prepared bed of bamboo keeps regenerating new shoots, over and over, as he is harvesting. He prepared, maintained, and perfected patience for three years, to receive a continuous and bountiful harvest.
What a great story! And yes, true success takes time and often we don't see the fruit of any of the seeds we've planted for SOO long. But it's part of the process.
I leaped after struggling to get past an incident in my marriage. It was then that I decided to go back to school to finish my degree. Now that I am only 2 classes away I find myself doubting my abilities when it comes to applying for the job after receiving my degree. I am going to have a leap of faith so that I can get the job I did all of this for.

It’s so funny you mention what leap of faith I need to make. I feel like God sent you. Honestly. I was on the computer revising my thoughts on where I left off months ago on my digital product business and I felt really good about getting started again/ picking up where I left off. And hearing your words about leap of faith really made me think that’s where I’m headed. I have almost all of those details worked out about making this online presence but I have yet to execute and I just keep reasoning with myself it’ll happen it’ll happen. I'm currently 23 and in my master's program for higher education and college student affairs, and I have felt so lost about my purpose and even if I am capable of achieving the dreams that I have for myself. Hello Kristi! One of the many actions I have been sitting on (for a while), is decluttering. I have a lot to declutter, and it has felt overwhelming. I have experienced shame and guilt at struggling to do this, usually starting, though not being able to see it to the end. So I have never finished. I am also a perfectionist, which adds to my feeling paralyzed to even start (will I do it well every step of the way?) Thank you for your encouraging videos. I will continue what I have started. I will make a plan, and I will see it to the end. I will pace myself, and I will give myself grace.
You've got this! No need to beat yourself up about it or feel guilty. Just start. And don't feel the need to get it all done at once. Again, just start. And then keep going. Even if it's just 15 min a day. And in a few weeks you'll look back and realize how much you accomplished just by being willing to show up.
This is so appropriate for me for where I am right now, knowing that I want to go forward to the life that I dream of. It's really important for us to ask ourselves what we dream of and to know if our dreams are our dreams or if they are dreams that others are pushing on us.
Ahh, yes!!! You definitely have to decide if what you "want" is actually want YOU want. Many times that happens when shutting out all the noise and spending time with you and God figure out your next steps. Also, what are things that stay in your heart no matter how you try to ignore them?
I took that leap with my writing. I am investing a chuck of money I technically don’t have into it. I’m going to make it work, budget down some other things, but I’m doing it. I’m investing in me with this. I’m making it happen. God put it in my path again after 5 years of not seeing it.

I took the step of going back to school for my bachelors specializing in Human Resource Management. I’ve always done trade schools bc I feared not getting accepted into a regular college. Never felt like I had the time being a single mom, but I got accepted the first try, my kids are doing a school year with their dad and it’s all online and at my pace. It was so crazy because every time I apply for school for some reason it always takes me 1 or 2 maybe more to get everything taken care of care of. I did everything in 2 days. So now I’m just waiting to start in September.
I’m 41. I just recently recovered from nearly two years of debilitating long covid. In the Before Times, I wanted to learn kickboxing but was too embarrassed to try. Shocking no one, after twenty-one months of effectively being an invalid, my stamina is hot garbage. So ever since my recovery I’ve been hitting the gym so that when I do roll up to the kickboxing …dojo? or whatever they call it, I’ll be ready to learn. I have other goals that are suddenly attainable again too. But that’s the one I want most. And I’m still a little scared of it, but honestly, after what I just came out of - there are vastly worse things than feeling self-conscious whilst learning a new skill.
Go after the kickboxing dream! Honestly, the VAST MAJORITY of people don't care. We build up these things to be anxious about in our heads when in reality, it's less of a deal than we make it.
I’m leaping to returning to work, in order to tie up loose strings for financial stability and furthering my career. Placing emotional stoppers behind me and changing the way I look at life on the whole. Thank you Kristi, God has an amazing way of guiding all of us. It just so happened that I looked up decluttering, and your channel kept popping up. You’re so fresh, articulate well and struggled with clutter. (So am I) I was like “wow” she sounds like me. The angle that you’ve taken on your channel lines up with where I am today and how I should keep going, keep the faith and “show up”! One more thing I tried the first day of prayer group however I was unable to sign into zoom, can you please give instructions on when and how to participate in your class. Thank you!😊

I’m a neuroscience and biochemistry undergraduate student feeling called to pursue a combined medical and doctoral program in neurobiology. I definitely know that I am right where God wants me to be- and there really is no better or more comforting feeling! He really does look out for us as we trust Him and obey!

Today's video resonates with me on many levels. I am reminded of a message our current Pastor spoke some years ago about being in the centre of God's will. I think that is exactly where you are.
I need to take a leap of faith to travel the world, there are a few places I've always wanted to visit. Those dreams got burried when we started a family but my children will be off to post secondary in a few years so it's time for me to dream again.

I went back to school at 50 and was not the oldest in the class. It's a bit scary to get going but you can do it, take that leap!
