Hope you’re having a wonderful Sunday my loves! I think this is one of my fave vids yet and this series is so close to my heart. In case you’re wondering, I changed the title slightly, but this is the Part 2 of the video “I decided to live like privileged people | these easy things *immediately* changed my life” th-cam.com/video/spckwgDLFPs/w-d-xo.html
“Who I am is annoying and an inconvenience; so let me make myself as small as possible.”. Nailed it! I still catch myself doing this far too often. Kristi you tell the truth in such a kind, loving and helpful way. (I am not going to use another exclamation point. My words were enough.)
Aww, thanks. 💛 Unlearning things and replacing them with new ways of being is definitely a learning curve. Also, I totally still use exclamation points- just not all the time!!! 😆
@@kristidoingthings @eun371 what’s funny is I never used to over-use any punctuation. I think I started using more exclamation points and words like “awesome” and “amazing” to be more acceptable and to fit in, so to speak.
I will never forget some months or a year after I became handicap and my "friends fell off, I went to a restaurant. Husband happend to call when I was there, surprised he asked "who are you with?". I said myself. His reaction surprised me too! After 2 decades together at that time I didn't know he thought that was weird. Granted we met for lunch all the time before when I was working. That was a long time ago but it still is fresh in my mind.
I decided a few years back that I would stop saying sorry other than for things I should really really be sorry about. And for those times when people had a complaint I thanked them instead of apologizing. Apologies are the most useless meaningless things, but a thank you suggests a lesson learned and a correction to be made.
I just stumbled across your channel. I feel like it was the verbal pot of gold I needed to hear at this time ⭐️🌈 . Sometimes I feel so stuck in the intensity of a storm and fog and I’m trying to find that hook or ray light or new shift in words to reshuffle my perspective so I can keep navigating. I think that was this video today - thanks. It’s mirroring a need or phase of life or something I guess and feels like a match or understanding which defuses the intensity of feeling stuck. It’s not the only thing but it’s one of the strings I have been doing this morning and then pop your video arrived in my feed. Funny how that happens. Or maybe it’s less funny - more an algorithm! No idea how it all works really. But grateful. I guess it all boils down to feeling understood on hearing someone speak words you need to hear in that moment. Also knowing someone has been down that pathway and can offer a bit of a map to get traction……just thinking out loud… but hopefully in doing so it supports your channel.☀️
I'm so glad you found the video at just the right moment! Feeling understood is so important, and I'm honored to be part of your journey in finding that light and perspective. Keep navigating your path, and remember that every step forward, no matter how small, is a step towards clarity. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 🌟✨
Thanks so much, I do tend to apologize and start sentences with "hey sorry to bother you........ I didn't even realize how much I do that until I saw this, Your advise is such a blessing thank you!
I am guilty of the "I'm sorry". I am married however, I most definitely take solo dates. I 1000% agree with taking solo dates. Ok I am going to stop commenting because you're all in my business today. 😳No, but seriously this series is everything.
I just want a clean house. Uncluttered. I have everything I need and want including a house keeper. I’ve traveled the globe and I’m financially free and God is everything to me. But I can’t keep my house clutter free. I’ve bought new furniture with smaller coffee tables and end tables so I can’t pile papers and stuff on them. I feel so defeated. Even when I declutter and clean, it’s only a matter of time that it’s right back like it was. I don’t understand what I hate i must love.
Don't feel defeated babe. Mess accumulates. 😬 Some cleaning has to happen everyday and that is one of the hardest pills to swallow for a neat life. Give yourself 10-15 min each day to get as much done as you can and then move on. You'll find that things stay so much neater. I would get so caught up comparing my home to people I saw online until I realized- they aren't showing the daily messes that accumulate as part of being a human.

I'm guilty of the use of a lot of exclamation points in office emails lol. So good practice right there

Ooh, this is good! Replacing "sorry" with "thank you" shifts the focus from guilt to growth, which can lead to more productive conversations.
Thank you. I will try to keep in mind the importance of cutting back on my exclamation marks, even though I may be excited. It's work, not a party. ⚫️
Aww, I didn’t mean don’t use them at all. 😭 If you’re really excited, be excited and show your personality. Just not every sentence, lol.
This has me really reflecting on my work emails. Hmm I think my latest one included a funny 🦥 sloth meme! 😂 Great video!
Train myself to be more confident I like that!
Yes, ma’am!!!
