I think you nailed this one, Kristi! Embrace “slow and steady wins the race” is good advice. I’m a late bloomer too. I heard a quote last year that I repeat to myself when I start worrying that I’m not where I want to be yet: ”Practice makes progress.” I don’t have to be perfect. I just need to keep making progress. Reminding myself of that helps me to keep going when I feel discouraged.
Thank you! I love that quote!!! Progress, no matter how small, is something. I naturally desire to move faster than is ever feasible so I too, have to remind myself of that often.
Biggest success towards my biggest goal is financial. I completed my budget, cooked all my meals this week and shopped more health forward for the coming month. Among other things what I’m taking away from this video is to stop focusing on results and end goals.
Kristi, thank you for reminding me to stop focusing on results. I do this a lot and get so frustrated when things don't work out as quickly as I want them to. Going forward I'm going to focus on the journey.
This week I reduced my snacking and sugar. I was even able to eat some treats in the office but with control. I was surprised how my mentality to succeed allowed me to say no or portion control better. I also bought a walking pad to get those steps!,,
I see you!!! 😂 I'm so so glad that you're enjoying and that it's helping you on your journey. I was still thinking about your comment and it’s really nice to know that someone else is dealing with the same things I’m going through. I’d love to know, what resonated most with you?
This week I hit that water goal, which is great because I’ve been dehydrated! I’ve also done great at avoiding the overly processed foods. Jumped on the treadmill while waiting for my laundry dried. Those little things felt great!🎉
Today's video reminds me of a quote I use often. Almost daily. "Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out "....Robert Collier I did some strength training twice this week and I am thankful for that. I've been thinking and talking about including that in fitness plan for some time but did nothing. So 💃🏾 💃🏾 💃🏾 looking forward to a little more than two days of it this week. 😊
I love that quote. It is something that I have to KEEP reminding myself of- especially when I am frustrated that things are moving faster. So proud of you!!! Hopefully you feel amazing.
Hi Kristi! This week I was successful at staying within my weekly budget. By doing this I was able to see exactly where my money went and remained disciplined. Im so proud of myself!🥳🤗
Over the last week I was able to stay within my portion control while eating. I have noticed that it is easier during the week than on weekends. I'm more disciplined when I can keep the same routine.
Hi, I closed my circles in the fitness app on my iPhone. 4x’s, walking 5-6 miles.😊 My lack of motivation is due to fear of success and the unknown; am I capable emotionally to complete a goal.
So proud of you!!! Closing my circles is the most rewarding feeling! Now that you know where your lack of motivation comes from you can start dealing with those root issues.
I need to work on not focusing on the end results. I like the part where you talked about following someone else who is on a journey similar to your own. This week I am really going to try to hit the treadmill at least every other day.
Thank you for this! I did drink the Kool-aid 😂 I have been drinking water before coffee, worked out more consistently, completed the Habit devotional. I am learning to slow down and be present for each phase.
I drank 1.5lt water everyday and listened to a motivational affirmations video every day. This week I plan to implement the bible study and following I'll add workouts. It works better for me to do it in increments.... But I'm at a crossroads. Procrastinating my assignments like Never before it's as if I've hit a wall and I'm wondering if to continue pursuing this degree... Or if I'm thinking about quitting, only because it's getting harder. Plus dealing with difficult coworkers has my mind quite distracted... I'm really trying to squeeze Motivation and Focus.
You can do this! Is it the end of the semester for you? I used to ALWAYS hit a wall at the end of the semester because a lot was due and I was just so ready to be done.
I do not think that I had true success in any one thing this week. I completed 5 out of 6 days of Bible study and I remembered to drink water first thing a few days this week 😢🤷🏽♀️sad progress but hoping for a more successful 2nd week.
Actually, it was a start! Celebrate even the small wins and build on them. Push yourself this week, but don't beat yourself up for not being perfect. ♥️
I’m not a fish person but I bought ahi tuna and like it. Plus I watched a movie about how to loss weight. I’m going through something scary if you ladies can pray for me. I have done good with my Bible study by just stared doing it when I wake up. I went to work out sadly only once last week
Ooh, getting out of your comfort zone! You started and that's what counts. "Father, I pray for Ginny that You bless her and give her peace about her situation. Let her know that You are with her and will not let her fall. As she seeks to grow, remind her to find strength in You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!" 💜
Hey friends!!! I love the idea that there ways to stay motivated throughout our journeys! What are your thoughts?
This week I successfully drank water before having coffee and I finished HABIT Bible Study. ❤
Woohoo!!! How did you like it?
@@kristidoingthings loved it!
@@rani9162yay! I really enjoyed that one too!
Congrats
I've been told that *discipline* is needed to keep *momentum* -- regardless of one's current motivation levels.
Yup! Same. But if we have no motivation toward that goal, then we won't be disciplined to achieve it.
I got out of the house and went for a walk with my grown son. This was the first time in months!
#success
Ahh, that's wonderful! How was it?

I'm so glad you're finding that shift to be helpful! 🙌

Check you out!!! That is the goal- to enjoy life but to do it in moderation and self-control! Love this.
Motivated that's key.🗝️ 🤔
It really is!!!
This past week I was able to declutter my closest!! It seemed like a mountain but I felt great after it was done!
That's so awesome!!! High fives to you- I know it feels SOOO good!
I started sleeping more and that helps me to wake up earlier to reach my goals!
🙌🏽 Sleep is SOOOO important!!! Excellent job!
It's like you're in my head. Your videos are always on point for me. I can actually watch them 2 or 3 times.
I see you!!! 😂 I'm so so glad that you're enjoying and that it's helping you on your journey.

I will have more success and less frustration if I embrace how I best function! 🎯🎯🎯✨✨✨

This week I actually set goals; created a plan and accomplished my goals.
LOVE this!!! Let's do it again this week!
I completed the Habits Devotional Plan.
Woohoo!!! Also- check out today's short. 😉
I need to work on not focusing on the end results. I like the part where you talked about following someone else who is on a journey similar to your own.

😂 Girl, you and me both with the Kool-aid.
Sounds like you had a great week! So proud of you!
This week I successfully tried new recipes, instead of despairing in my chances of making something enjoyable and being willing to put in the effort.
Oh fun! What did you try?!
Definitely working on this motivation piece and it relates to my fitness, but I need to reevaluate my “why” and see if that can ignite the spark. 😊
Sometimes it takes a while to figure out, but you can do it!
This was good. Going to listen to it again 😊
Thank you! Feel free to listen as many times as you need.

@@kristidoingthings yes it is actually. And I think not having a system really is why I let things pipe up. But I'm here I can do this!
@@TQuam-ks7reyes, you can do it- just a few days left. And as your step in professor, get those assignments done missy!!!
One win I had was releasing myself from trying to do too much and slowing down and focusing on one thing
This is such a good one! It is a lesson I'm still learning.
My water game has been on point! I have had it first thing in the morning and before each meal. 🙌🏾
Get it, girl!!!! Love this
I successfully decreased my screen time, and used that time to do some strategic planning. Hoping to become more physically active this week.
Ahh, this is a good one! Soooo, how are you planning to be physically active this week?

Thank you for this video.
You are so welcome. 😊
I drank water 1st every day this week. Big change for me to delay ☕️☕️

My one success:
Attended two workout classes and didn’t quit when I was tired
Get it girl!!! I am so proud of you!
Random question: what nail polish are you wearing, I really like it :)
It's actually a dipping powder- I couldn't tell you which number though- so sorry.
