    Great way to present the results, with all the data - ranked by charging time.

    If possible can you compare EQE 300 with EQE 350+ , the difference in range and power would be interesting to know. I hope you 'll make a video on it as I can't decide which one is better.

    A bit confusing test, what did the 3-29% in 10mins charging signify?

    A better slant on the NHSR test… and what can you say to the EQE’s result! Is this the new EV to aspire to own?

    Hi Kris, just discovered your channel today and I am in the run for an EV. I was wondering how this EQE 300 would compete against the BMW i4 eDrive40? Did you do a range test with that car as well?

    • @frikkinnorwegian5227
      @frikkinnorwegian5227 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The EQE is a much better EV than the i4 in my opinion. I tested them both and the i4 is far more cramped, built on an ICE platform, and range doesn't seem as good. The trunk in the i4 is much more practical than the EQE however. Would definitely go with the EQE over the i4, especially if you are going to be using the backseat.
      The i4 felt maybe a little more sporty, but the EQE was a better cruiser and daily driver.
      I'm trying to decide between the EQE 300 and the BMW Ix 40 now 😃

    Quite impressed!
    Those RWD Mercs are the range monsters in Europe. Being able to go 500km with a charge is as much as I could ever need.
    BTW, it was only the 300, without the +, shouldn’t it have the smaller battery? 🤷‍♂️

    • @frankblok1743
      @frankblok1743 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no smaller nattere. They are all the same on EQE.

    • @sirbuftontufton5846
      @sirbuftontufton5846 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@frankblok1743 Mercedes launched the EQE with a 90.6 kWh battery, including the 350+. A couple of months ago, they switched the 300 and 350 to an 89 kWh battery. Word is that all models will eventually switch to the smaller capacity battery. The EQE 350+ achieves its increased range as a result of slightly better efficiency and slightly more battery capacity. It is not clear why Mercedes is doing this. Maybe longer battery life, cost, or some other reason???

    • @bushu16
      @bushu16 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sirbuftontufton5846
      That’s done due to change in their battery provider.
      There were issues with 90.6 batteries by Farasis. So the provider now is CATL for 89kwh

    • @sirbuftontufton5846
      @sirbuftontufton5846 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bushu16 It does seem to be related to suppliers. But curiously Mercedes still stick with the 90.6 kWh batteries for all EQEs but the EQE300 & 350. And all the EQE SUVs use the 90.6 kWh also.

    The maximum charging power at a fast charing station is 173 kW (EQE and EQS). That's not state of the art. IONITY charging station can deliver up to 350 kW power and the battery car EQE can be charged with up to 173 kW - that's not good, in case you pay for the fast charger IONITY 79 Cent for 1 kW and you want it really fast. As a reference: Tesla Model 3 can be charged with 250 kW at a Supercharger.

    • @frankblok1743
      @frankblok1743 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not true. EQS takes 204 KW.

    • @sirbuftontufton5846
      @sirbuftontufton5846 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      To be fair, the EQE has a lower peak charging rate but compared to most others, its charging curve over the whole charge is relatively flat, so total charging time is pretty good. Or looked at another way, Mercedes charges slower from 5-40% than other cars, but faster from say 50-80%. Personally, I charge where it's convenient to, rather than running down to 5-10% and worrying about charging stations, so I would be happier with the Mercs more even charging rate.
