Unfortunately Kelly’s behavior after I finished this video has confirmed my pessimistic suspicions: she’s deleted ALL of her videos INCLUDING the apologies and after a brief pity party on Twitter declared she is moving away from politics. Which is good, but shows she’s not interested in making things right, she just wants to pretend nothing happened.
I genuinely think she wanted to get a cookie for her opinions before she realized she definitely wouldn’t and that both sides were going to fully eat her alive. Edit: Clarification, specifically left leaning and queer folks overwhelmingly would call her out and the right was NEVER going to accept her. They were just going to accuse her of the same things they accuse left leaning queer folks of doing.
"I'm not going to defend slavery BUT black people enjoyed being slaves" How the FUCK do you believe such bullshit so eaily and quickly? When she said that I SCREAMED
Well the Florida education system is awful, so there's a legitimate chance she was taught that in school. That's not an excuse for her cuz she's an adult and she should know better, education should not end at highschool, but it does need to be examined how we let that education system get so far off the rails that the people running it are literally just lying about history.
My spirit left my body when she said that I wanted to just fucking disappear I don’t wanna live in a world where white women make the inaccurate argument that black people enjoyed slavery to say that slavery wasn’t that bad 💀
The irony of her saying queer people didn't give her the right to be who she is, America did.... Girl do we need to go back to the beginning?? Do we need to start at stonewall??
@@Colonsworth423 Well the right hates her because she's trans. The left hates her because she's a grifter and rejected the people she relied on for protection and to build the foundation of her rights.
You know, we have actual recordings of former slaves. They're right here on TH-cam. During FDR's administration, there was a project to record their voices before they passed. One woman recounts a story of another slave being whipped against a peach tree, and an overseer snuffing out his pipe on her back. Another man flat-out says if he thought he would be a slave ever again, he'd shoot himself. So no, they did not "enjoy" being slaves, or were "comfortable" in any way. American chattel slavery was a holocaust.
i mean the arguement that it was a product of its times is flawed when a fair chunk of the western world was freeing slaves and banning slavery within their empire. also it wasn't a popular thing with white people let alone the people being enslaved
That's crazy, im gonna have to look it up. As a european, this kinda feels so removed from myself when it probably shouldnt. And i was wondering, this whole thing about Black people also participating in slavery - like that one man said about rather shooting himself, if its a choice about being enslaved yourself or playing into the slaver's hands instead, can you blame anyone for doing the latter? But dont paint it as "oh yeah slavery was pretty swell for Black people" honestly wtf is she confusing this issue with house elves
Kelly: takes the word of a white man saying black people liked being slaves Black people who were slaves: writing several books saying no the hell they did not.
White people who were slave owners: No don't you dare we spent a lot of money on telling the teachers at school to not talk to students about any of that >:( lol humans are something else
here's a fun fact for you: the FIRST American best seller was a novel by the name of Uncle Tom's Cabin. It was written by a woman by the name of Harriet Beecher Stowe. The novel depicts the harsh conditions of slavery and follows 2 main plot lines: Harry, a man who escaped a plantation and eventually saves his family, and Tom, a man who stays on the plantation to protect those who escape from it eventually ending in his death. The book was an honest look into what slavery in America was like and from that it became a best seller as it showed many a glimpse into what the other side looked like
As a black person, when i tell you i had my phone on my table and i literally got so much closer when she made her statement about slavery, i am deeply horrified
I had to pause and go back. X.x I was like...she said what? What rational person could possibly believe that? Then I remembered I'm ascribing ration thought to this person... Then her apology... She meant to say "comfortable" and she was repeating an article headline...uh huh. That's believable.
I remember parroting what my parents said politically. Then in seventh grade I told a friend I was republican and all he said was “is that what you think or what your parents think?” That shit punched me in the chest so damn hard. I literally spiraled for months reevaluating my entire world view. I’ll always be thankful for that kid.
It’s what all of society does. Now it’s for woke points, those videos of trans and gay under 10 years old. That’s not the kid deciding they want to bang someone of the same gender, or that they want to change sex. That’s their parent. The issue is, this has spread to the point that we forget the fine line of what’s promoting our kid and what I just forcing and manipulating them in another fashion.
It's normal for every person to crave attention and validation to a certain degree, but yeah the extent she has gone to be accepted from random people on the internet and be so willing to adopt radical views so quickly implies she has an issue with herself
@@jadedoe9966 Bro, are u dumb or sum. She literally got it at 14 herself, plus you can't even have surgery until 16-18 or so. Only hormone therapy before, I think. And it isn't mutilation.

As a black person myself, im jus so tired of communities using our history to make a point. Ive seen fat acceptance tik tok compare their discrimination to segregation. Why is our history always used? And the situation is almost always never that severe to where you need to bring up literally slavery to justify your point. Why can’t they just leave us out of it…
2:05 thank you SO much for speaking on this part in particular. a trend that i’ve been seeing is that whenever a person that is trans (or nonbinary or basically not a cis man/woman) gets outed for not being good, people feel like that gives them the green light to *purposefully* misgender them. it always irked me because like, why is that some people’s first priority? you can still dislike someone without being transphobic and such. people seem to immediately start attacking one’s identity rather than focus on the fact that the person in question is not good, and nothing more
Addendum: purposeful misgendering just because a person “doesn’t deserve to be respected” opens the question of how bad someone has to be before you get to misgender them which quickly turns into a slippery slope. We can’t be resorting to the actions of the right.
Props to the person who debated Kelly for 3 HOURS with a level head. My immediate answer to her slavery take would've been: "I'm sorry, excuse me, what do you think slavery even is? A kink? Do you know anyone black? Did you run this take by them? Have you ever even read a slave/ex-slave journal or life story? Should I send some to you? I assure you there will be plenty in a library if you ever visited one, y'know?"
Same, I used to really enjoy debating but I just can't anymore because conservatives have gone so far down the rabbit hole that I actually just can't handle listening to them drag on and on about how certain groups of people don't deserve basic human rights. and they purposely choose to believe certain things that are untrue such as "black people enjoy being slaves" or "they're letting kids surgically transition" or "drag queens are child predators" or any of the crazy shit they come up with to justify their awful views.
@@toomie27I'm glad they did, cause losing your mind and yelling is a surefire way to get your opposition to not take you seriously. Then again, the right always speaks over any spoken logic anyway.
Even at the "Yeah BUT" part I would've snapped, it shows she clearly lives a privileged and ignorant life and cannot handle a lick of negativity without switching sides in petty retaliation
Her saying "a lot of black people enjoyed being slaves" as a white history (specifically slave era history) researcher made me audibly gasp and back away from the screen 💀
The only way I can think that statement has any iota of "truth" is the idea that some may have tried to accept it or secure themselves a shaky and conditional position of power in order to try and make themselves safer, much like how conservative queer people probably think they'll be seen as "one of the good ones" if they parrot and preach the same hatred that's thrown at more blatantly queer people.
> Kelly transitions at 14 > Gets called out for not using correct pronouns > Ditches her entire community to play house with the worst husbands ever > Puts down the idea of trans teens transitioning under 18 as if the right wing knocked her memory right out of her > gets called a couple of slurs and gets her pronouns skewed and runs back to the alphabet mafia
To be fair (for the age part), she could have just found that out that she should have waited until she was an adult after having done it. Exactly like someone doing a shit ton of drugs then saying you should only consume in moderation/avoid it. They're not hypocrites, they just learned from their mistakes.
I feel bad for her, honestly. I used to also be an attention-seeking oversharer on the internet, and sometimes it's hard to recover from that. I hope she steps away from her platform and can make peace with that teenager in her who needs approval.
before gilbert baker designed the pride flag in 1978, the common symbol for queerness was a pink triangle, which was a reference to the patches homosexual prisoners of nazi concentration camps were forced to wear. harvey milk, california's first openly gay elected official, approached baker for a design as a part of his next campaign. baker's design includes pink, teal, and indigo in addition to the traditional colors of the rainbow. pink meant sex, red meant life, orange meant healing, yellow meant sunlight, green meant nature, teal meant magic, indigo meant serenity, and violet meant spirit. it was a little whimsical because it was meant to evoke hope and celebration. the first two flags were hand dyed by lynn segerblom and hand sewn by baker and by james mcnamara. harvey milk was assassinated that same year. after milk's assassination, the flag design gained popularity and eventually overtook the pink triangle. like a change from looking at the pain and degradation of the past, to looking forward at whatever new, beautiful thing is coming next for us. the flag has been simplified since then, now usually including only the traditional rainbow colors. gilbert baker passed away in 2017. he never trademarked the flag. he wanted it to belong to all of us in the community. it was never just for gay men. it was always for all of us. this woman stands on his shoulders. and on harvey milk's shoulders. and on mine, actually. she stands on the shoulders of every queer person who came before her. she stands on the shoulders of everyone whose blood and tears went into the fight to give her the right to her bottom surgery. she's like a generation out from a time when she wouldn't have been allowed to change her name on her drivers license. the queer community isn't just a bunch of kids and freaks who approve or deny your sense of worth based on changing tides. we're generations of people who share an experience and an identity and who needed a place to call home. look, i get it. she's young, privileged, and impulsive. she's exploring her place in adulthood. i felt her when she confessed that she always felt compelled to seek the approval of her bullies. i believe she was telling the truth in that moment. i would encourage her to share these thoughts with a journal, rather than using the internet as a sounding board and then being shocked when the sound bounces back at her.
I found it funny how she literally made a video burning a pride flag, and then later on makes a video saying "I can't believe my own community is rejecting me!" Um.. I thought that's what you wanted!?
“This country is what gave me the right to transition and be who I am” meanwhile many places in the US are taking away trans rights and transition rights
"This country begrudgingly allowed me to have bodily autonomy and the freedom to self-actualize while requiring me to clear assorted bureaucratic hoops to prove I really and truly deserve it--and even now, they're rethinking that."
I like how she’s not holding the American flag right then drops it on the ground and steps on it which is everything you gotta do to disrespect national flags
"This country is what gave me the right to transition and be who I am" and they will take it away! In fact, they have already taken that right away in multiple states!
her talking about how america gave her the right to transition REALLY pisses me off because of how much our community had to fight for that right and how she's completely ignoring that
Like where does she think that came from? Written into the original constitution? Doubt it. Also, I don’t even want to admit how hard I laughed when she then threw the American flag on the ground and walked on it. I know it’s not a real American flag, but the symbolism was just. so. good. 😂
"I'm standing for the American flag because this country is what gave me the right to transition" says the trans woman who lives in Florida, where several different laws have been passed making her very existence within the state all but illegal.

As an afab enby teen, her saying that it’s just pronouns is wild, because first off pronouns can cause crazy dysphoria and I am very self conscious about my chest
Question: how does pronouns and being self conscious relate… I’m asking bc I’ve always had big breast and they annoy me another question: what’s afab teen? Yea I’m new to the pronouns and dysphoria just trying to connect🤷🏽♀️
Watching a trans woman say"I'm leaving this cult, the only flag i stand for is America, this is the country i stand for"and hold up an American flag UNIRONICALLY, is ironically the FUNNIEST thing ive witnessed in a while. It was hard to believe that was not meant to be satire😭

@@STAR_WALTZ part of her "apology" video was her saying she alienated a lot of friends as a teenager because she'd change herself to fit in with the popular people. The fact that she was comparing right wing people to high school "populars" aside, I think you've got her personality down.
My biggest problem is that she never expressed any desire to educate herself or learn or grow, she basically just said "sorry for saying my thoughts out loud lol"
“I’m really tired of being bullied in my own community” she says, as she bully’s people in her own community She is so hypocritical, it’s unbelievable and the fact SHES allowed to transition at 14 but others have to wait till they are 18?!
Also she burned the pride flag and said she wasn’t a part of the LGBTQ+ community lol. “I don’t understand why my community is attacking me! Anyways here’s a video of me burning that community’s flag.”
To be fair, you should wait to be an adult for cosmetics surgeries. If someone wants to wear dresses and shit and call themselves Tiffany. Be my guest but the surgery should wait for the brain to mature. If you're an adult, you should remember how goddamn retarded you were as a teenager and have at least a few things you regret doings.
It feels a lot like she ping pongs around depending on how she views people treating her, trying to find the right social group that will give her the most positive interaction. Switching to the right gave her a rush of approval from right wing nut jobs who just wanted to hate trans people, then she realized... they hate trans people, so she flopped back. I doubt she is even really aware of why she does it, at least not while she is actively flopping around. She had to reflect back on it and realize, at least a little bit, that she was seeking validation and not seeing the bigger picture (that the right hates her cause she's trans, duh). Hopefully she can do a lot more reflection and get her shit figured out, but she should probably just stay the fuck off social media.
you’re telling me a traditionally attractive, blonde haired blue eyed trans girl, who had the privilege of transitioning before most trans people, was welcomed by the right when she started spouting the same thing they do? shocker
The best part is that "being welcomed to the right" just mean that they use you as a useful idiot. I have friends in the alt right and i swear they talk absolute shit about their LGBT members when they aren't around.

I’m gender fluid and this 4:10 makes me extremely angry .i have night where I cry my self to sleep cuz I am a girl and need to be a boy and feel immense gender dysphoria .so no Kelly your not the only one who feels gender dysphoria you can’t just say it’s only trans people Much more changes than my pronouns.>:(

I’m a trans man myself I have never had any surgery for my gender (mostly because I am still in high school) but when she said “is it because the only transition that’s taking place is changing your pronouns” I was shocked. Yes Kelly for me right now the only thing that I have changed about myself right now are my pronouns because I am still a minor and the surgery’s are really expensive not everyone has a rich dad that will pay for their surgeries. Edit: I’m not a minor anymore but I am broke soo
AYO, ANOTHER TRANS GUY! Don't mind them bro, you're valid no matter what people say! *ALSO*, it's not just the fact that there are underage people who can't have surgery, but there are people who *don't have the money* to do it. Besides, you have to stay in bed for a while and not make too much effort to avoid opening the scars, which is also something that people *can't do*, because most of them have jobs that if they don't go to, they'll lose their jobs (or won't be able to afford a house). (sorry if my English is a little bad, I'm learning lol)
oh my god so much this ☝️☝️ I’m also a trans guy myself using he/they, but I haven’t had any of the surgeries because a) I’m a broke college student and b) my parents would rather disown me than support my decision This video honestly had me livid and people like Kelly SERIOUSLY have got to stop
THIS also like. im terrified of surgeries and not even to mention how some procedures can be difficult to get in the first place because of a lack of accessibility for trans healthcare !!!
I am a trans man, and also black and...... I just wanna say at whoever black or transgender person is reading it, you are valid; don't leave anyone use you as a political thing, whoever says that kind of stuff is able to do whatever they need to for validation, you are not an object people can use for successes.
So she gets to transition at 14 because she "always saw herself as a woman", but doesn't want others to do so until they're over 18 to make sure it's right for them???? So hypocritical. Also, "owning the pick me status" was beyond cringe. Edit: Just saw what this all spurred almost a year later. I hope people learned from the conversations :)
She's hypocritical yes, but I also believe that people should atleast be a certain age before they're allowed to transition. Can you please explain why that sentiment is wrong? Just trying to understand here. Edit: Thank you so much for informing me more about the subject everyone 💗. I was in no way trying to say that trans people should not be given rights to transition, please don't assume the worst of me. @@elevensloosehair i guess it's the fact that she was 14 when she medically transitioned but wants others to do it at 18 and older I understand why one would want people to (medically) transition at 18, however one could socially transition at a younger age such as using a different name and pronouns
9:48 this is so funny to me as a biologist. the terms ‘cis’ and ‘trans’ are used in organic chemistry to refer to chemical isomers (compounds that are the exact same except for shape, the most common examples are trans fat and cis fat (aka just fat)), so the idea of removing the word cis from my vocabulary as someone in STEM is hilarious!!
Ah a fellow scientist. Sorry, just here to say hi. On my physicist fianee’s account but geologist here who suffered thru orgo. That was straight abuse. My lab was at 4:30AM. I remember being taken offguard by those terms during my biology class My teacher even made a joke one day saying “please don’t put that the Golgi apparatus has a transgender and cisgender face in your exam sheets” (that was mostly because a classmate had previously wrote Bisexual layer when referring to the bilayers of lipids)
It’s funny because the conservatives she oh so wanted attention from purposely misgendered her and called her “a trans identifying man” 💀 But yeah they’re the accepting ones right
the people she's trying to get to like her, actually do misgender her. a lot call her a TIM (trans identifying male). Even to her face. She made a whole video about it, but i think she deleted it.
She also spoke on behalf of trans men and complained that she was being bullied after preaching freedom of speach. Her strange flip flopping was so irritating and im glad best froggy covered this
My jaw dropped when she actually said that slaves enjoyed being slaves…Girl. I would simply pass away if I ever said anything like that. A handful of “privileged” slaves enjoying “good” treatment from their masters doesn’t cancel out the hundreds upon thousands of slaves being abused, starved, beaten, r*ped, tortured, and killed every day. (And I say “privileged” as in, not getting beaten or whipped or physically abused daily, as we expect based upon what we know of history. It’s not a privilege to be treated with human decency and respect.)
but . . . but . . . all those children's books portraying (attempting to . . . . sarcasm roll . . . . it's a 2) . . . where did this woman get the idea that any slave in history liked being a slave? The Bigot table at the Cracker Barrel . . . . no no . . . they all left an hour ago over the impossible breakfast meat option they saw on the menu.
It's extra insulting because, as a privileged trans woman, she should understand that not everyone has the same experience in minority groups. She gushes about getting "all of these wonderful opportunities" yet fails to acknowledge that others aren't so lucky. 😒
Hey man, thanks for breaking down the "misgendering an awful person" thing. It can be difficult to argue the point because it can often come across like I'm arguing the awful trans person is actually okay and that I need to "get my priorities straight" as folks like Kelly will put it. No, it's a "this affects all trans people, including the good ones, and they don't deserve that" thing.
I don't know about that. A man who openly admitted he was being a girl to get girls, harassed women in the past, and SA'd his mother is in a female outpatient group home after prison. They literally only transitioned because of trying to get girls, they admitted it. Christian Weston Chandler. Some people exist in really offensive ways, it doesn't mean they don't exist
Sometimes we just need to remember that everyone is a person who deserves the rights of a person. Even if someone is a total monster, they are still a person who has human rights.
You REALLY hit the nail on the head with her needing to just remove herself from social media. I don’t even know her and never even heard of her until seeing your video and the first words that came out of my mouth to my husband were: some people really shouldn’t be allowed to have social media. Especially if you have mouth diarrhea like this Kelly person. My GOD when she started talking about slavery I physically recoiled. Wow, just…WOW.
The main problem I have with her misgendering the person that committed that crime is that she wouldn’t do that to a cis person so why would she do it for a trans person ? Like that doesn’t make sense to me cause she’s not gonna go and misgender a cis serial killer for the heck of it. Like no one does that unless they don’t respect trans people

exactly, one thing i’ve never understood is why we see trans people’s pronouns/gender identity as a privilege that can be taken away, while we never do that to cis people when they do terrible things like. it’s not about priorities, it’s about how as a whole, society treats terrible trans people differently than how we treat terrible cis people and that needs to. not be a thing. we don’t go around calling hitler a she and saying he was a woman even though he started a global war and sentenced more than 6 million people to their deaths (not to compare trans people to hitler, that’s just the most notorious example of a Horrible Person Who Happened To Be Cis i could think of) edit: wow i apparently did not watch far enough into the video and i happened to make the exact same point that funkyfrogbait did, my bad. i didn’t mean to sound like a broken record lol
As a black person it genuinely aggravates me that her "apology" about her being quite blatantly rascist was how she read it in an article somewhere because amongst all the other stupid things shes done this is one of the major highlights her spouting extremely wrong and rascist comments about a topic she clearly has never experienced and knows nothing about is such a brain dead move and the apology somehow made it worse to me
No no. It wasn’t reading, I was skimming. I couldn’t be water boarded to confess that. I wouldn’t be caught dead saying that or parroting anything I didn’t at least to research the subject a feel more articles and experiments.

How was she in the same sentence bragging she was trans since she was 14, but then say other people shouldn’t be allowed until they’re 18 to ‘make sure this is the right path’ Like wtf
I despise "I got mine, so fuck you" attitudes. Especially from people who know the firsthand struggles of minority issues then throw that community under the bus.
I cannot fathom how she genuinely thought that the right would welcome and accept her as a TRANS WOMAN 💀 Absolutely smooth brain moment, not a SINGLE wrinkle in there.
Blaire White is literally an example too, like, if she were the first conservative trans woman, then I’d get why she may think it would work… but it’s been done before. Blaire White was told to grow a beard or whatever by a conservative in a video on r/leopardsatemyface. It was so painful. And smooth brain is cute, wrinkle brain is ugly >:(

The part about the American flag allowing her to transition is so ironic to me considering gender affirming care is becoming widely illegal and trans youth are literally being taken away from their guardians rn in Florida 💀
@Hillary Clinton I would strongly disagree with you with that one. There have been bills in states that have attempted to ban gender affirming care before the age of 26. They don't want anyone to transition, they just use the whole "think of the children!" fallacy as a scapegoat
The whole debate thing where she got her ass absolutely *handed* to her, delightful to watch also she's apparently offended by non-binary people and as one myself its just absolutely ridiculous to the point its almost funny like?? sorry i exist ig?
Well, non-binary and trans people don't quite go hand in hand. non-binary push for this like "male woman" for trans women, which is quite obviously transphobic.
Funky is like tiktok's slightly weird but caring older sibling who seems super out of the loop, but weirdly always knows what's going on and will check on you. Unfortunately, one older sibling can't fix the psych ward that is TikTok (I'm mentally ill, I can make the joke).
I don’t think psych ward really describes it. At least a psych ward tries to help you, TikTok does not do that. TikTok is the misinformation vortex to end all misinformation vortexes, the time wasting black hole to end all time wasting black holes, and the app that has rotted my brain ever since I got it. but not in a Chinese spyware kind of way (cough cough america)
Ohhh that’s what she was saying, sorry if my comment confuses you but I was actually confused on what Kelly was saying at the beginning but now I know.
the irony of her being on a high horse about her expensive gender affirming surgeries and then rejecting people like her in favour of the people who want to force her to medically destransition is insane
Personally, as a trans man, I’m not sure if I can ever forgive her. She’s caused tremendous harm to our community. Not just recently, but for years. Conservatives are gonna use her as a talking point for years. We also just haven’t seen much yet to prove she’s actually sorry. We’ve gotten an apology, but that’s all right now. We’ll have to wait and see I guess.
She shouldn’t be sorry she was completely in the right for most of her points we need to stop pushing this delusional pronoun nonbinary trans shit if we don’t have conservatives and Christians speaking out America is doomed
@@Naixatloz I think he meant that the recent damage she's done is going to linger for years to come. This is also my first time learning about Kelly so I might be unaware of past issues as well, but based on the video, it seems like all this chaos is a recent development.
I’m not trans but I’m bi and I’m black so when she was doing all this BS I was so offended like nah she ain’t welcomed how dare she come for us when we be welcoming
There's way more to Kanyes point. Basically he was pointing out that slaves weren't fighting to the death for freedom. Not actively violently resisting is a choice. That's what Kanye was trying to say.
@Pistonrager .......thats still bad not fighting hard enough tf does that mean literally Nat Turner led a goddamn rebellion which resulted in them killing slave owners. Not fighting hard enough my ass.
As a trans person, I just want to say she can do herself. Idc how sorry she claims to be, she is on her own. She didn't make some silly little mistake one time, she knew damn well what she was doing and I highly doubt she's actually sorry at all. Some things can't be forgiven and I feel like this is one of them.
Idk I’m just not going to interact with any of this content either way because I don’t have tiktok. I think she’s just really messed up and that’s kind of sad to watch
It’s baffling that she doesn’t understand that if you try to burn down the community she claims to be a part of no one is going to be holding hands with her singing Kumbaya and inviting her to the next pride parade. Attacking everything a family loves and holds dear is how you get them to go no contact with you just to be sure you don’t show up and ruin the holidays again. She burned the bridge with her second family now she gets to live with the consequences just like Kaitlyn Jenner
I’m not American 🇺🇸 I’m Canadian we don’t have freedom of speech if you say something hateful to someone you get punished so if you get miss gendered you can get fined ( non biased btw) I think that’s better than freedom of speech
Also I'm pretty sure the US flag code says that you cannot print the flag on anything else....for example her blanket / towel. You can't put the flag on a bedspread. You can't put the flag on a bikini. You can't print the flag on anything.
So true!!! I’m in Australia and it’s same. Once the captain in primary school. Had to raise the flags every Monday * Flags because Australian, Torres Strait and Aboriginal. The flag ONCE out of many many times, touched the ground and I felt so ashamed that I almost cried.
I think she had a clone of Twitter instead of the real one because even though I don't have Twitter, from a friend's experience, it's very problematic.
fr bruh, i enter twitter and the first thing i see is a print of this EXACT sequence: trans person posts something silly; weirdo far-right asshole quotes it with: YOU'LL NEVER BE A WOMEN PEDOFILEEEEE; Elon Musk comments "Exactly."
Its just so crazy how she had one bad take, rightfully got criticized for it and then just completely abandoned her own community because they weren't worshipping her very awful opinions. Didn't expect the the unraveling to happen within 2 months lol.
Right? Like a 'ya know what? Ya'll are right. I did some thinking about the comments I received and I shouldn't have done it and won't do it again." And then just never do it again. Even if she hadn't really changed her mind, just don't do it on video and no one would know. It would have been so much easier than the attempt to pivot right she made and failed at doing. Apologizing, even a fake apology, is so much easier than whatever she tried to do.

That's the whole conservative/bigot spectrum for ya, you're a tool. That's the cultural value, someone has power, and they use other people. Was raised in this culture and it fcked me mentally....
For real 😂 I’m in a lineage society and they’re big on the flag protocols. After working with the flag so many times and having the protocol drilled in my head I was internally panicking 🤣
I was adopted into a conservative family. It took moving away from them to learn how toxic my views were and the racist ideas I had been taught. I'm learning everyday how to be a better person, and I'll never stop learning. I'm lucky to have friends who supported me when I moved
I'm so happy for you! :D Because I was just like you. I can now see how wasteful it is to take someone's happiness way just because I don't understand it or was taught to be disgusted of. when in reality it does not effect me in any way. Now I try to think twice about topics or things that makes me "angry", most of the time, it's just what was forced onto me as a kid. I stand by the saying of -" So long they aren't hurting themselves or people around them and if it is making their lives easier, better or just because they want to, Then I have nothing to say"
I'm a lesbian and was raised in a heavily conservative area. I didn't realize until I left and was away for several years how bad a lot of the things I was raised hearing from adults around me were. I had random adults in my community that I knew, even at places like my part time job, who would say and do incredibly homophobic things and I thought it was ok for them to dislike that I was a gay person as long as they were nice to me. I literally thought it was ok for me to be friends with homophobic people and thought that they liked me. It's horrible the level of mental grooming that goes on especially for LGBT people raised around discriminatory beliefs. It takes so much to get over it and can leave you with so much trauma after you fully grasp the severity of things. I get really sad a lot now realizing that most people I grew up around or adults that I trusted as a kid don't accept me and don't care to learn about the harm that their beliefs do to people like me.
i grew up on the internet and they taught me so much hate. i used so many racial and ableist slurs while being numb to misogyny and discrimination. i found out im lesbian and got diagnosed with autism recently. now i stand for womens rights, lgbt rights, the disabled and this made me realise that hate is taught and passed on.
@vickibarkley2810it's not just that though, the laughing and smiling is basically the straw on the camel's back. She wasn't born yesterday, she must have known it wasn't right when she said it so why is she "apologizing" now only when it brought her hate. Maybe she could have kept a shred of dignity if she stuck to her convictions
@vickibarkley2810I do that but when I’m apologizing and I really mean it I can be completely serious in that moment. Apologizing shouldn’t make you nervous like you should be sad or disappointed in yourself while doing it because it means you know you did something wrong if you’re apologizing. If she really felt bad for what she did she wouldn’t have laughed or even smiled.
I don't quite agree. When I get uncomfortable, guilty, or nervous, I smile and laugh, too. I feel like it's because I get so scared about others not being happy that my immediate reaction is to try to make them happy, and my body language reflects that. It does NOT make it the correct reaction, and I do try my best not to react this way, but every now and again, it takes me by surprise.
She’s definitely dealing with the effects of being online too much. She talks about these issues in a very radical way, flipping from one extreme belief to the other as if there’s no other choice, and the fact that she just believes the first headlines she sees is not good. She needs a reality check asap, touch some grass, meet some people in the LGTBQIA+ community to remember WHY the community is important to have around and why we can’t just go around spewing every thought that comes to our head because it DOES affect people. I don’t really care what she does, but I just hope she gets off the internet for a while.
Excellent take. Forcing herself into a reality-only existence for a while and joining a queer group/group therapy to learn about other people's lives, where she can look in their eyes and hear their stories and be forced outside of her own head would be very good for her.
She is next level attention seeking. Holy crap, pick a lane lady. She wanted to be a pretty blonde conservative to get her own tv show? Wtaf? Maybe she will rebrand as a tradwife next 🙄
it’s really sad seeing trans people thinking that if they make fun and point out people in their own community, they will be spared of ridicule and hate. No matter what label/identity you identify with, the conservatives will despise us anyways.
A house divided does not stand, and the conservs know it. All people like Kelly are doing is making it easier to tear us appart unaware that the big stompin' shoe falls on THEIR heads as well.
Not related to LGBTQ+ but my Filipina mom is pretty conservative, and pretty open about her distain for BIPOC, despite being one herself. Yeah, and like funkyfrogbait said, it’s too much of a slippery slope. There is just too many people, especially in america right now, that would just jump on whatever chance they have to invalidate trans people.
We should start calling them the wrong pronouns. Or just not talk about them bc it’s such a problem especially in America where horrible people are basically made celebrities encouraging others to follow in their footsteps

Unfortunately Kelly’s behavior after I finished this video has confirmed my pessimistic suspicions: she’s deleted ALL of her videos INCLUDING the apologies and after a brief pity party on Twitter declared she is moving away from politics.

2:05 thank you SO much for speaking on this part in particular. a trend that i’ve been seeing is that whenever a person that is trans (or nonbinary or basically not a cis man/woman) gets outed for not being good, people feel like that gives them the green light to *purposefully* misgender them. it always irked me because like, why is that some people’s first priority? you can still dislike someone without being transphobic and such. people seem to immediately start attacking one’s identity rather than focus on the fact that the person in question is not good, and nothing more
Thanx that makes it easier to understand
Addendum: purposeful misgendering just because a person “doesn’t deserve to be respected” opens the question of how bad someone has to be before you get to misgender them which quickly turns into a slippery slope.
We can’t be resorting to the actions of the right.
Props to the person who debated Kelly for 3 HOURS with a level head. My immediate answer to her slavery take would've been: "I'm sorry, excuse me, what do you think slavery even is? A kink? before gilbert baker designed the pride flag in 1978, the common symbol for queerness was a pink triangle, which was a reference to the patches homosexual prisoners of nazi concentration camps were forced to wear.
harvey milk, california's first openly gay elected official, approached baker for a design as a part of his next campaign. baker's design includes pink, teal, and indigo in addition to the traditional colors of the rainbow. pink meant sex, red meant life, orange meant healing, yellow meant sunlight, green meant nature, teal meant magic, indigo meant serenity, and violet meant spirit. it was a little whimsical because it was meant to evoke hope and celebration. the first two flags were hand dyed by lynn segerblom and hand sewn by baker and by james mcnamara.
harvey milk was assassinated that same year.
after milk's assassination, the flag design gained popularity and eventually overtook the pink triangle. like a change from looking at the pain and degradation of the past, to looking forward at whatever new, beautiful thing is coming next for us.
the flag has been simplified since then, now usually including only the traditional rainbow colors.
gilbert baker passed away in 2017. he never trademarked the flag. he wanted it to belong to all of us in the community. it was never just for gay men. it was always for all of us.
this woman stands on his shoulders. and on harvey milk's shoulders. and on mine, actually. she stands on the shoulders of every queer person who came before her. she stands on the shoulders of everyone whose blood and tears went into the fight to give her the right to her bottom surgery. she's like a generation out from a time when she wouldn't have been allowed to change her name on her drivers license.
the queer community isn't just a bunch of kids and freaks who approve or deny your sense of worth based on changing tides. we're generations of people who share an experience and an identity and who needed a place to call home.
look, i get it. she's young, privileged, and impulsive. she's exploring her place in adulthood. i felt her when she confessed that she always felt compelled to seek the approval of her bullies. i believe she was telling the truth in that moment.
i would encourage her to share these thoughts with a journal, rather than using the internet as a sounding board and then being shocked when the sound bounces back at her.

Being given back human rights by those who took them away isn’t privilege. It’s still cruelty.

Hey man, thanks for breaking down the "misgendering an awful person" thing. It can be difficult to argue the point because it can often come across like I'm arguing the awful trans person is actually okay and that I need to "get my priorities straight" as folks like Kelly will put it. Kelly: "this is the flag I'm gonna stand for"
Also Kelly: *immediately proceeds to drop, drag, and step on the flag*
Uh huh. Yeah.
If this happen to me, i would have to go through 5 stages of depression
Also I'm pretty sure the US flag code says that you cannot print the flag on anything else....for example her blanket / towel. You can't put the flag on a bedspread. You can't put the flag on a bikini. You can't print the flag on anything.
she made a mistake in her english, she meant "this is the flag i'm gonna stand on!" i hope this clears things up 🩷
the fact it was a fcking towel too 😭💀
So true!!! I’m in Australia and it’s same. Once the captain in primary school. Had to raise the flags every Monday * Flags because Australian, Torres Strait and Aboriginal. The flag ONCE out of many many times, touched the ground and I felt so ashamed that I almost cried.
"I love Twitter people are so accepting!"
Me: Never once have I heard that statement in my entire life.
I think she had a clone of Twitter instead of the real one because even though I don't have Twitter, from a friend's experience, it's very problematic.
@@Cr3Ek_l0v3R fr
There ain't no way she had the ACTUAL twitter
fr bruh, i enter twitter and the first thing i see is a print of this EXACT sequence:
trans person posts something silly;
weirdo far-right asshole quotes it with: YOU'LL NEVER BE A WOMEN PEDOFILEEEEE;
Elon Musk comments "Exactly."
What was that take exactly?
@@sproutthefrog The one where she insisted people could misgender the shooter because he had committed a crime, implying that pronouns and ur identity can be stripped from you if you do something that’s deemed bad.
@@dollrxst Well I don’t see much wrong with that, respect is earned not just given, and it goes both ways too, you want respect from a person who you respect no?
@@sproutthefrog All I’m gonna say is that no one refers hitler as a woman because he was responsible for the deaths of millions. So we should keep that same energy for everyone else
“This is the flag I’m going to stand for” then proceeds to throw it on the floor, literally one of the most offensive things you could do w an American flag
The funniest part is her crawling back crying because she realised the only reason she was ‘accepted’ by the right is because they were using her and would ditch her the second she wasn’t needed anymore. Serves. Her. Right.
That's the whole conservative/bigot spectrum for ya, you're a tool. That's the cultural value, someone has power, and they use other people. Was raised in this culture and it fcked me mentally....
"serves her *right* " pun intended?
"The amount of damage you caused just because you wanted to be a pick me" gets me every time lmao
"This is my flag! THIS is what I stand for"
*proceeds to drop and walk on the AMERICAN flag*
she mixed up standing for something and standing on something

For real 😂 I’m in a lineage society and they’re big on the flag protocols. After working with the flag so many times and having the protocol drilled in my head I was internally panicking 🤣

I was adopted into a conservative family. It took moving away from them to learn how toxic my views were and the racist ideas I had been taught. I'm learning everyday how to be a better person, and I'll never stop learning. I'm lucky to have friends who supported me when I moved
I'm so happy for you! :D
Because I was just like you.
I can now see how wasteful it is
to take someone's happiness way just because I don't understand it
or was taught to be disgusted of.
when in reality it does not effect me in any way.
The fact she was smiling and laughing during her “apology” videos really says a lot
I remember watching the news of that shooting right when my egg was cracking. It was in social studies class, and the class's response was horrendous

Mhmm and the moment they can make it illegal to literally have freedom of expression... Kelly isn't gonna be spared from their wrath.
Not related to LGBTQ+ but my Filipina mom is pretty conservative, and pretty open about her distain for BIPOC, despite being one herself. I keep trying to tell her that at the end of the day, conservatives are saying the same shit about her that she says about BIPOC. She’s not spared from being judged as a POC.
@@sheenashroder5315 same here actually, my mum’s an immigrant but is incredibly against immigrants entering our country and hates hearing strangers speak their mother tongue - when she literally speaks her’s all the time. It’s odd
Exactly!!! If you turn on your own community to appease the bigots all you’ll be is sad and alone as the very same bigots only like you for affirming their beliefs not you as a person
I never understood the "this person did a terrible thing so let's not use their correct pronouns" thing. Like, we don't call cis people by the wrong pronouns when they're evil. If it's both ways, okay, I guess. But just because they did something terrible doesn't mean we stoop down to their level
Idk, part of me thinks that'd be hillarious. Just give every horrible criminal the wrong pronouns.
Might just be my dumb sense of humor, tho.
Maybe we should just simping for killers edit: I ment to post this on a different video sry guys
