  • @bananapooptime
    @bananapooptime 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I noticed on the S22 that my wife received that you can see into the top earpiece slit and there appears to be no mesh whatsoever. It appears wide open to the internals of the phone. Can you comment on how the waterproofing and top speaker/microphone are designed to work on that area? I'm worried we got a defective unit since I don't see how that area being left exposed can be protected from water.

    • @RestoreTechnique
      @RestoreTechnique  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Nah that's normal, same on mine. That earpiece slit channels to the top speaker waterproof mesh, as seen at 8:53.
      This is probably why the front camera is glued in with silicon, as it is very close to the earpiece slit.
      Edit: The top microphone has a separate hole at the top, which again channels to a waterproof membrane as seen at 8:53.

    • @RestoreTechnique

      The USA variant has mmWave 5G because they have the required mmWave network setup there. Australia and other countries don't have mmWave network infrastructure. mmWave 5G is much faster than regular 5G, about 3-5x faster. But it's range is really small, so you need a lot of infrastructure setup to use it.
