  • How to fix Shin pain due to lumbar L4 - L5 disc bulges
    The lumbar spine consists of five vertebrae, labeled L1 to L5. The discs between these vertebrae act as cushions. A disc bulge occurs when the disc between the L4 and L5 vertebrae protrudes out of its normal boundary. This can put pressure on the surrounding nerves, leading to pain and discomfort.
    The Common Symptoms of l4 l5 disc bulges:
    - Lower back pain:A common symptom that can range from a dull ache to a sharp pain.
    - Sciatica: Pain that radiates down the leg.
    - Shin pain: Discomfort or pain in the shin area.
    - Thigh pain: Pain that can be felt in the upper leg.
    - Numbness or tingling: Often felt in the legs and feet.
    - Muscle weakness: Particularly in the legs.
    - Difficulty in movement: Reduced mobility or flexibility.
    How We Assess It in the Clinic:
    1. **Patient History:
    - We start by discussing your symptoms, when they started, and any activities that may worsen or relieve the pain.
    2. Physical Examination:
    - Range of Motion Tests:Assessing how well you can move your spine in different directions.
    - Neurological Examination: Checking for signs of nerve damage, like reflex changes or muscle weakness.
    - Palpation: Feeling along the spine to identify areas of tenderness or abnormality.
    3. Diagnostic Imaging:
    - MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging):The most common imaging technique to see detailed images of the spine and discs.
    - CT (Computed Tomography) Scans: Sometimes used for more detailed images.
    4- Managment:
