    Pocahontas was a bit of a complicated case. She was the daughter of the paramount chief of Tsenacommach, but she wasn't in line actually to inherit anything as succession when through the chief's brothers and sisters first and on to the heirs of the eldest sister. So on one hand she was of "nobility" but also not after a fashion

    The history one, if nothing else, will make clear both how little everyone in your circle paid attention in school and what their inherent biases about past political figures are, so...this feels like one to break out for Christmas.

  • @DreadWulfie
    @DreadWulfie 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    This was really fun and I think I'll get these. The only problem someone would have playing either version is if they don't really know they're fable/fictional fairy tale characters or historical figures.

    • @elafimilo8199
      @elafimilo8199 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That would only be a problem if you mixed the two decks. Which would probably be a fun variant.

    • @DreadWulfie
      @DreadWulfie 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@elafimilo8199 It could be a problem just as is if someone isn't as knowledgeable about the characters/people in the cards but the one giving the clues does. If they decide to use unifying factor like them being from the same country and a person doesn't know where some of them are from, then it's a problem that can cause them to lose. Not saying it's a major issue in any way just that it can cause problems depending on your level of knowledge of these characters and historical figures that can't be visually deducted.

    This looks good, but it seems like the history one becomes more difficult the more you know about history, & that sort of might cause a problem for the probable target audience.. I suppose you could house rules it & say you're only going by the art before you begin though.

      @@theodorepinnock1517 fair. The reason I pointed it out is that the notion of 'Jewish' being a nationality (rather than an ethnicity or belief system) is something that gets used against Jews a lot to suggest they don't belong within a nationality. I don't think that's what you meant, but I felt the need to pipe up. It's not a case of being British OR a Jew, one can just be a British Jew.
      Obviously an individual can consider their Jewishness to be part of their national identity but that would their business.

      To be fair to you, though, I don't think there are many people who *liked* it when they (Dicebreaker) made a deck with just 3-4 male characters after having just talked about gender balance. It's just that most people choose to not talk about that, because the rest of the video was quite fun.
