With you guys every game seems to be a good purchase but I would like some more friends like you to play them too. You are such an intelligent, positive and funny guys.
Revisited this video after finally finding copies at my FLGS! Loved the gameplay and the great game group - that crazy Canadian! (I also loved the Honga video which also featured Rodney!)
I played this game twice at a convention with a complete stranger and my boyfriend and it's really cool and hard. We won and then lost in the penultimate round too, but it was so much fun. And it is possible to play with strangers too. Really nice game.
The moment Dave said "monster", Shelly was obvious (although I thought it was Marie Antoinette in live play - as she was the only potentially villainous one). The dead silence around the table made me wonder if only Dave actually knew who Mary Shelly was.
I absolutely love this... It was so much fun watching and just being able to play with you guys trying to guess. Love this and seeing Rodney play was a bonus😃 just purchased.
I would've been interested in you all playing the Historical deck with historical clues like you did with the Fables deck. I've found that deck is much harder to win.
Similo Myths was announced to be released spring 2020 I do not know if it came out yet, it does not say on their homepage, it does not even mention the animal one
I like this game a lot, and I've only played it on BGA a couple of times. Do the different decks have different backs? I just know at some point I'm going to try shuffling multiple decks together.
i can sense the Marvel reskin of this one will soon come out. way back years ago we can see zombie theme in lots of games. but now Marvel is the new Zombie.
How did they not get gender? Dave constantly went to gender in the first game so you had to assume it was a woman, especially when the first two clues reinforced it. Dave's third and fourth clues were just genius.
I see these are selling for about $10 on Amazon. The artwork alone is priceless. Yes, it has that Mysterium vibe and as such, has two very bad drawbacks to it - down time and dictatorship. This doesn’t seem to be nearly as bad as Mysterium in overall down time (everyone waiting for the ghost to pick cards for each player and then the ghost waiting for everyone to deduce the clues) but you still have that “dictator” role that someone inevitably falls into. I always feel that games like this should come with voting tokens where people can take majority votes instead of just having one person dictate what decision will be made. At any rate, for $10 this is a no brainer of a purchase. Makes for a great filler and since I sold my copy of Mysterium, I need a game that fills that kind of mechanic without all the pomp. Not a Disney fanboy however so going for the History version. It seems like it would be more fun with a general audience (and more educational) as you can choose characters based on timeline, historical legacy, etc.
I usually just throw down the House Ban Hammer of not allowing Color matching clues and you can add gender to the list of bans if ya want. Increases difficulty but more creative clues are given :)
The question is how much (if any) *additional* information they're trying to get across with that card. For example, if the first card is Alice, then the target card is probably female. Is it also young? Or blonde? Or associated with Wonderland? The game seems to be just as much about figuring how much to *not* read into the card...
I have to say:
this become, by far, my favorite Boardgame series to watch. Thanks!
You're amazing!
Thanks so much for the kind words and for watching! -Lincoln

This video just makes me miss Rodney & Dave so much. I can't wait for the day when people can start gathering again.
I need Dave to make an instructional video on how to learn his awesome shuffling skills.

So enjoyed watching this, would happily watch you play a few more games of this one.
Love this game. Would love to see you play some more with the coming decks and different combos!
I picked the second one. As soon as they thought about eliminating it I was all "No, wait!!!!". xD So well played, Dave...
It's interesting seeing you play this with Rodney instead of just the usual gang.
Dave was awesome with his clues, I wish we had been on the same wavelength. -Lincoln
I 100% got Mary Shelly. Never would I have read into the eye focus that early
Looks fun: sort of a quicker/lighter version of Mysterium.
Holy molly, I actually worked the second one out! This game is awesome!
My homeboy Rodney!
Love this game! I hope we can see the animal version and the myths one played one day.

Whst happens if they take the one out that is your card that you picked?
Have fables and myths on hold at a with and online games store. Can’t wait to play once I get them released in an order.
Who's the artist? Fantastic work
Naiade who I think did Tokaido

I'm not a fan of these types of games. But i loved the video, and even more so Dave's thought process.
Havent seen the animals box , but there is a greek myths box.

I guess that's the problem :) you can't pick "genius" clue cause "layman" may not get it :D
I guessed Mary Shelly once I saw big bad wolf. I was on his wave length

So weird seeing you refer to the Epidemic. It was classified as that so long ago!
I want this game but with the plastic case. Even if I have to pay extra.
This game is very "similo" (xD) with One Key..
however I guess this one is more streamlined.
looks like a faster version of One Key...
I think, as long as there is gender, the first clue will almost always be about gender.
Indeed. Thankfully Similo: Animals is coming in late 2020, which will eliminate that route of investigation. -WEM
Yeah, that seems like a natural way to play for sure.

Cute game.
I believe they are a couple.
Another great vid guys
Reminds me of a less racist version of Unusual Suspects
The game kinda sucks
The game is different but quite fun. You should give it a chance if you have an opportunity. Thanks for the note and for watching. -Lincoln
