      Had the same problem. Just wiggle my harness. Boom. Works everytime. 310k. Only had oil pump, wires , radiator and coil packs changed at 200k. Factory

      @@scottietimmons3322 i’ve noticed if that happens a lot you can either clean off the terminals on the starter itself or your ground running from the battery to the body is loose or just not a high enough gauge wire.

    Did you leave the ole wire connected to the starter? I wasn't sure if leaving it would cause a negative effect on the battery or anything?

    Hey brother, so the only wire you replaced was the battery to starter? I looked at my started and it looked like it had the wire you referring too and another to that plug into the starter, I'm having the same issue can you clarify exactly what you replaced

      thank you for asking! So that plug on the starter is the signal wire itself which runs from your ignition switch (where you turn the key at). When you turn your key, a signal is sent down that wire to the starter which gives the solenoid power and closes the circuit, thus giving your starter the full 12.5V from your battery. The cable that runs that 12.5V is exactly what I replaced. They may look like they come out of the same set of wires but at some point they are separate. As long as you replace the wire that runs from the positive side of your battery terminal and connects to the positive side of the starter you should be able to fix your issue. The wire supplying the 12.5V initially had some resistance and thus could not provide enough voltage to actually turn the motor through the starter, thus necessitating the replacement. I hope this helps!!

    Did you put the old wire on top of the old one?

    • @kadenschaberg3947
      @kadenschaberg3947  ปีที่แล้ว

      sorry i’m just now seeing this. you can pull the old positive wire and replace it but in my case i didn’t want to go through the hassle. you can just add the new wire to your terminal and run it down to the starter positive terminal.
