Hey mr Bad Boy Mtg, I took nearly this exact deck down to the local mtg-place for a tournament, where people are way too competetive and running way too expensive decks "just for fun", and went 3-1! Lost only to keeping two bad hands and didn't have the common sense to mulligan. Epic build man :)
I'm probably late but i would like to say thank you for posting budget deck techs that are actually budget but very efficient at the same time. On other channels you can find "budget deck" of 150$ or more (?!) that are not as good as these.
Bad Boy MTG Solid deck, I've played a similar budget elves with lead and triumph. I used Elvish Champion and that one drop green enchantment that makes a land all basic land types and enchant my opponents land with it. Unblockable infect! Also checkout bramblewood paragon puts a counter on all your warriors Joraga. I run 4 Ezuri instant speed overrun is better than sorcery overrun.
Great budget elves deck, almost feels like legacy elves with the hyper agressive ramp into triumph of the hordes or tree speaker as replacements to craterhoof. Even without the tap/untap shenanigans of legacy elves it still accelerates well by turn three. Also a big fan of regal force, even the most competitive decks will run one over hoof daddy.
With a 1 or 2 card difference, I built that exact deck which was then promptly stolen from me about two years back. Glad to see I am not the only one who thought that was a pretty cool combo.
Also the fact cratterhoof behemoth is a creature that does more, another one at the same price give +x+x and can actively provide more buff and the fact that coat of arms is also another of the same cost that lasts longer. Overrun is overrated unless it's edh or tokens w/g
I've been playing magic for about 5/6 years now and I've always played red/black, burn/goblins, you get the idea. But I really want to try something else but I find it really hard to built something that isn't burn. So I think this is a great place to start! Thank you
Loved playing elves. I ran 2 omnath locust of mana in there. Mana doesn't leave your pool between phases. Favorite saying :"Floating 150 green mana, pass."
I'm kind of surprised that you didn't mention Elvish Pioneer. A 1/1 Elf for one Forest, When elvish Pioneer comes into play, you may put an additional land from you hand into play tapped. Regardless man, I still appreciate your videos, I'm currently ordering most of these cards mentioned, great work!
Battlegrowth (instant) is best for Joraga Warcaller since Battlegrowth only costs 1 green mana to cast and it says, "Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature". So, you don't have to do the kicker because kicker costs 2 converted mana to cast while battlegrowth only costs 1. Not just that, it's also pretty efficient since if it's only Battlegrowth alone, you target only 1 creature. But, since there is Jaroga Warcaller, a +1/+1 will be added to each of your elf creatures each time you cast Battlegrowth on Jaroga Warcaller
Love this elf deck. I totally forgot about regal force! My elf deck is around $150-170 and I've got Heritage druids and nettle sentinels in it. Example: Turn 1: forest and nettle sentinel Turn 2: forest, nettle sentinel and heritage Druid, tap them all for 3 floating then play another nettle and untap your first 2. (You now have 2 floating green and 4 creatures)tap all your nettle sentinels, cast growing rites and untap nettles. Dig for a creature and flip growing rites then tap cradle of the sun for 4 green. Tap your nettles for 3 green (total of 7) and cast a 3/3 Joraga Warcaller then swing for 5 on turn 2 with one of your nettles. Turn 3: a land that gives your blue mana and cast beck//call get more creatures and cards and get huge :)
I'd recommend Elvish Champion and Nyleas Presence for the forest walk for all of your elves. *Elvish Champion effects all elves so you might want sideboard the champion if you have a high elf deck meta at your LGS.*
Same but I do question why no bellowing tangle worms which give all green cards you control intimidate same with running the cheaper Terra stomper as he can't be countered and is a big trampler. But now a day you also need 3 steel leaf champion 3 green for a 5/4

Fwiw this has been up for almost a year and the maindeck rares and Imperious Perfects still only come out to like $30 to $40 which isn't bad at all. Everything else is basically quarter box junk or bulk rares.
Sth like 15-20 years ago I played similar one with stuff like coat of arms and priest of Titania, elvish archers and some other stuff I can’t even remember :)
Immaculate magistrate for Joraga warcaller. Also elemental bond for the card draw, the lords will make your creatures big enough for this to be very relevant,
I run a red green black elf deck that works pretty well. A card you may want to look into is chameleon collussus. It's a 4/4 that can count as an elf and can double it's power and toughness for 4 Mana. Immune to Black. Easy win condition

6:25 ok, when I heard this I had to comment, I have NEVER had an elf deck without Overrun, I mean what are you doing without Overrun? Oh I know, losing. Lol.
For added shits and giggles sideboard Priest of Titania, Skyshroud Elves and Banefire. They never expect an uncounterable fireball from elves anymore. It's just a fun twist on the Channel/Fireball combo from back in the day.
10:36 Beast Whisper is an MVP. The Great Henge is solid too. I use both in Historic Elves on Arena. I know they're different formats, but Elves can work.
I kinda like this deck. I stopped playing when Mirrodin came out and I had an elf deck with cards from Onslaught. I just might start playing again with this deck.

My old school elf deck Rocks as it used any color mana and Rebels that could bring all my elves into play on one turn and stomp the opponents with 1 billion+ / 1 billion+ Elves, and more. I let people learn the power of elves and learn the game this way. I gave the deck to my Daughter. Most of the cards are still cheap. I think if you like tokens Krenko is where its at.
I made an elf deck and added day of the dragons! So unexpected when you transform all your badass elf’s into even more badass dragons! And it’s a blue card so just add arbor elf and utopia sprawl with frees from the real! Boom!
Very interesting idea with the infect. I run a similar build but I've but black and red In it. Mostly so I can play lavalanche for 3X mana you deal X damage to an opponent and everything they control. Id also run 4 priests of Titania instead of the arbor elves, and throw 2 copied of ulamog in there if you want to spend a small fortune
Presence of gond? it gives a creature the ability to tap to make an elf warrior token. could equip it to one of the draw elfs and it would keep generating elfs.
Genesis wave can help put all your creatures out fast Collective company is an expensive version of lead the stampede but it plays the creatures Elvish Magistrate works fabulously with joraga since the counters it puts on him cause him to give +1/+1s to everyone else With all the mass mana stream of life is nice. Especially in multiplayer games.
I'm glad I'm not the only person to put glistener elf in Elves...I've tried it just to throw people off in the beginning and never truly won with the infect but I love this deck...infect is always nice.
The reason why people don't put Overrun in the deck is because Ezuri's second ability is Overrun. I would get rid of one Overrun and put Rishkar. He puts +1/+1 counters on elfs, and makes them tap for mana. Other than that, this deck is pretty sweet! Edit: you could also sideboard a second harvest, or a doubling season (if you want you spend some money).
get rid of the dino and add immaculate magistrate tap to add +1+1 tokens to your elf for the amount of elves you control. Also add alpha status great card and rancor never hurts.
I don't have joraga but a 2 champion of lambolt. 3 ezuri 3 imperious perfect 1 kamalh fist of krosa, 2 wirewood, 2 channeler , 1 clancaller. 1 krosan cloudscraper, 2 dwynen gilt leaf. Hurricane and plummet for pesky flyers. 3 staff of domination for the cheese infinite life/mana and creatures combo
i have a very similar deck, though there are changes, i think i got 39 39/39's by round 5 or 6 i think (using Hydra Broodmaster), that's the only non-elf card i had though.
Where is slate of ancetery? Elvish Champion? Jagged Scared Archers? Headless One? Elvish Guidance? Immaculate Magistrate to beef up Joraga Warcaller? Wellwishers for life gain? Taunting Elf? Voice of the woods? Elvish Harbinger? Elvish Skysweeper? Wirewood Symbiote? Greenweaver Druid? I understand you were doing on a budget but there are way better elfs that could be put in. I have been running elfs for over 10 years now only four people have won against my deck. And it has grown and evolved over that time but on that list above is just a few cards that are staples for an elf deck.
Have you considered beast whisperer for card draw, also elvish clancaller for a 2 Mana +1/+1 buff. I do realize they came out after this video, but I think they could be good in it. Also llanowar visionary is good too
If you're running Joraga Warcaller, why not Immaculate Magistrate to boost it each turn? By tapping it you can put +1/+1 counter on target creature for each elf you control.
Oh okay, makes sense. Not the direction I would have thought to go, however, I'm definitely intrigued and plan to test it on mine for improvements. Enjoy the few videos I've seen, and will definitely check out some more.
I made an Elf deck and mine is pretty much get all the elf tokens, I have a nissa in the deck that gives 2 life per each elf I control as a +1 its a decent deck I believe
Turn 3 TC: turn 1 forest elvish mystic pass. Turn 2 forest elvish archdruid. Turn 3 tap elvish mystic for some other 1 drop (I'd run llawanor elves) then tap elvish archdruid and all your lands then boom 3 turn clock starts so gg

This is a great deck! Elvish Promenade and Triumph of the Hordes, hella combo that most are not expecting.

ZEDEKUS ZULE heritage and sentinals is common at $100-$200 price range. This deck is to combat that deck for cheap

My Fave elf deck is a modified Elves vs Goblins deck. added Nissa Revane and total 4 Well wisher and maxed out life gain.

I want to build elves, but it to much money, but this is perfect because it good and it's not a crappie deck teck.
If you're running Joraga Warcaller, why not Immaculate Magistrate to boost it each turn? By tapping it you can put +1/+1 counter on target creature for each elf you control.

I made an Elf deck and mine is pretty much get all the elf tokens, I have a nissa in the deck that gives 2 life per each elf I control as a +1 its a decent deck I believe

What about Lys Alana Huntmaster instead of Dwynen's Elite? It's 4 cost but triggers with every elf spell cast instead of just the one time.
I run a similar deck that's white soldiers. More of an end game overwhelm style than a quick win though. I have more fun that way
Coat of Arms + Dual Nature + Deranged Hermit = 8x 10/10 squirrels

Turn 3 TC: turn 1 forest elvish mystic pass. Turn 2 forest elvish archdruid. Turn 3 tap elvish mystic for some other 1 drop (I'd run llawanor elves) then tap elvish archdruid and all your lands then boom 3 turn clock starts so gg
You should add links to the budget decks you make on tappedout so it would be easier for us to buy them if we choose to.
