I feel like thornbite staff would perform better than pathway arrows because of the "whenever a creature is put into a graveyard from play, untap this creature". So as long as you have enough mana, you can completely wipe out the opponent's defenses in 1 turn, and piss them off even more.

I really appreciate these deck tecks! These decks, this one especially, remind me of the ones I used to make in high school to play against my friends at lunch. As always, an awesome deck, monoblack being my favorite deck type
So I built a deck based off this one and I recommend having both Viridian Long Bow and Thornbite Staff in it. Those two combined on a Death Touch Creature will allow you to wipe the board. Really easy to do if you have the right tutors. Like for example Shred Memory which allows me to tutor the majority of cards in my deck.
I just recently started playing mtg and watching your videos helps me so much keep up the good work!

you might as well not run the leaden myr if you just want a tiny bit of ramp lol. I would add more blood artists to replace the myrs.
I'd replace grave Titan and sidisi with 2 Inquisition of kozilek

An Unnamed Source i am doing the same actuly left and played around though sets to as far as new stuff check out vehicles from kehadesh (thats miss spelled sorry) and the afflict abulity from hour of devistation (the newest set) two of my most favorat things getting back in so far
Another fun casual kitchen table deck. I've seen a similar concept except with creatures that "ping" and artifacts that would give em deathtouch(the reverse of what this deck does). I love these fun strats. Looks sweet once the deck gets humming!

I made a deck that felt like that (with no card in common!) a while back
Crypt Rat x 4
Spirit Link x 4
and the game breaker card
Lash Knife Barrier x 4
Back those up with Auramancer, and Gravedigger
The point is that with Lash Knife Barrier in play you can ping 1 damage with a crypt rat - let it resolve - and do it again. Gain stupid amounts of life and kill all your opponent's creatures.
The Auramancer recycles enchantments, the Gravedigger recycles creatures. Both Auramancer and Gravedigger have had reprints with a different name. And I think Crypt rats have as well.

My girlfriend uses that deck i work so much we cant got to fnm but she has been beating everone we know its amazing to see her eyes light up when she dilivers the killing blow to someone who has been playing magic for years and she has only been playing a few weeks

hey man, love your videos, love the decks! just a little suggestion, might be worth adding into the titles of the videos whether the deck is vintage, modern or standard, cause when i first started watching your videos i found it hard to keep track of which format the deck was for, other than that, really great vids!

Red has a bunch of Auras that do the same thing. Of course auras are more risky than equipment because they die when the creature dies, but they cost much less mana. Arcane Teachings, Fire Whip, Hypervolt Grasp, Lightning Prowess, Power of Fire. There are several equipment, Pathway Arrows, Thornbite Staff, Viridian Longbow, Wolfhunter's Quiver.
You make some of the best decks ever i used your slivers turn 2 and your red turn 3 it was so much fun now I have another deck to try out!! 😎😎 thanks!!!

Swap Pathway Arrows for Thornbite Staff, it auto equips to Nighthawk when Nighthawk enters.
i just wanted to say thankyou i built this deck with a few tweeks in the cards i traded paragon of open graves and a land for 2 more blood artists. This deck works it is so much fun it hold up and won 5 games against my $350.00 hand control deck this is amazing!!!! blew my mind how annoying this deck really is thank you again!!! After reading the comments, some people like it and some people hate it, but the point of this deck is that it is fun to play and really nice for casual modern or just casual play. It is the true that the combo is a bit late, but the deathtouch one-drops keep away early attackers and then this deck get's pretty good. The point is, that with 40 dollars you can't get a tier 1/2 modern deck. This deck is perfect for starting or returning players and I really like the idea. I have a few suggestions for upgrades tho: replace the grave titan for a harvester of souls and also add a crypt ghast for a bit more mana to use for the combo. Also replace wrench mind by hymn to tourach and the arrows by thornbite staff. But this deck is a great one!
40$ or not it's a bad deck with sloppy dekcbuilding. As other people said he didn't even research better options from the "tap deal damage" artifacts sections(there are many sites that do that no need to know all the cards by heart) and said "I didn't know this card existed". As for the other aspect of the deck it has so many useless cards 3 tutors in a aggro gimmick deck? Really? And a torment of hailfire for good measure, because why not. Grave titan? Well it has deathtouch so why not. If he had replaced all those not only expensive, but useless cards for say some cheap discard, like duress or even good old mind rot it'd not only be better deck but might(big might) even steal a win from those tier 1-2 decks. + the deck price would go to like 20$

Viridian Longbow is better. You don’t have to pay 2 every time
And you can ping a player instead if you need to.
Animate Dead is not Modern legal, and there is no reason not to run Bog in your main to free up sideboard slots.

Sounds like a cool deck, but death touch only procs if it is combat damage. Same for lifelink. I could be mistaken, it I wanted to build another deck with the same principle a few years ago. Would have been a nice deck though if it worked that way.
You also could consider viridian longbow. The cost to equip is more expensive, but there is no cost to activate the ability.

ive been holding dash hopes for a while now and seeing them in this deck makes me want to build it lol
My only question is how it beats any kind of control, aside from fellow removal decks, in which case the game will probably drag out for a long time, most blue or white control is just gonna counter or exile any of the pieces to keep the arrows working, plus without many creatures to kill the deck sounds like it will peter out before it can get rolling with the beatsticks like desecration or titan.
This deck seems like a lot of fun. I am actually working on something similar for commander and hope it turns out the way I want it too. Love the content Joey. I'm always looking forward to it.

Nice deck, I'd make more room for targeted removal especially in modern like a fatal push or dismember but that would push it out of budget. Death touch is nice on defense but without the arrows you don't have a lot of offense.

Thornbite staff would give you a nice infinite combo, just a little more expensive to equip.
I love this type of stuff. Really shows that you can throw down without spending $500 on a deck. Obviously, yes, there are more tournament competitive decks, but this looks like a ton of fun for only $40

One question. If I ping a creature and my opponent respons with a bolt do i still kill the creature my opponent controlls?

It would be hard to play sanguine bond or any good spells like that against a solo blue or blue/any color deck because blue is so counter spell heavy and mil heavy.

I would go with Phyrexian Arena over Underworld Connections, you are getting the same effect but not using your land to do it

It looks fun but you want to splash some blue in for the counterspells

Affliction isn't modernlegal, also the bow is allready great against creatures but sucks in noncreature matchups, so you want sideboard cards for those matchups and not cards for your good matchups. Duress is awesome and cheap, 1 more wrenchmind, things like that.

Viridian Longbow is the better version of Pathway Arrows. Ruthless Ripper is the better 1 drop deathtouch. Gray Merchant of Asphodel would be a good sideboard card if you need more life. Some more card draw action would help this deck in general.
Isn't there an enchant aura that gives deathtouch. Bc if there is you could put it on Breaker of Armies and it will wipe out your opponents creatures

Try this deck with viridian longbow. You don't have to pay any mana to ping after it's equipped.
Viridian Longbow is a better card. You can equip it that blast away. It doesn’t cost 2 to use the ability. Also green has just as many death touch and you can mana ramp fast
a real deathtouch deck needs a goblin sharpshooter!

Sure do, but with the Mana costs it's rather difficult to pull off
if you're going to run sanguine Bond you should also run exquisite blood it's basically the exact opposite and the combo goes infinite all you have to do is gain 1 life or deal 1 damage
You know how to break some commons and uncommon into like god damn mythics I'm definitely gonna make this shit

I love how he says "good luck getting rid of demon," in modern most decks have removal (push, path, etc. ) honestly (no offence) this deck looks like it wouldn't stand a chance in the current modern meta.
But I subbed a little more than a week ago. Keep up the good work and keep the content coming!

A sweet deck, however too slow for modern. The game will go like so, if you get the nut draw. Turn 1: Swamp, Arrows, go. Turn 2: Swamp, Aetherborn, go. Turn 3: Swamp, Equip Arrows (if Aetherborn wasn't Fatal Pushed), Attack with Aetherborn, go. Turn 4 (If the Death's Shadow or Storm combo didn't kill you last turn): Swamp, some random 1 or 2 drop, ping something with arrows (a Death's Shadow or a Voice of Resurgence, maybe a support unit like a Dark Confidant or a Baral), and you cheer because you achieved the goal of the deck, but then you realize you killed 1 creature on turn 4, and next turn your shields are down for the inevitable Fatal Push, lethal Grapeshot, or a huge Knight of the Reliquary. And even say that you have that black counterspell, Storm just laughs in your face as they Past in Flames and go off all over again. And you will never, EVER, get to Grave Titan in Modern. However, it's a neat casual deck and creative idea that I know my friend Devin would enjoy. It would actually be pretty strong if it was Standard legal and Abrade didn't exist.

I made this deck and holy shit. None of my friends play against it anymore. BUT on the plus side I won a modern tournament with it. Hahaha love the budget decks as a single father. Keep them coming and keep up the awesome work!!

Every modern game I've ever played that's even remotely competitive has had a fair number of counterspells and/or removal. The combo itself costs a creature plus 4 mana to equip and activate, and none of the creatures have haste. With little to no ramp, and a steady land drop curve, the fastest you can make your plays is with an activation turn 4... which even easier decks usually have things done by. It's also prone to the problems of indestructible, shroud, and hexproof; a cheap card as slippery bogle can be given unblockable and infect and boosts and then you're screwed. Geth's Verdict would be a good card to sideboard in. Maybe additional life-gain, because burn will mess you up worse.
