So yesterday I installed the security by pass and well able to pull my stock tune file and got the message on my tuner saying Factory Data Retrieved. So far so good. Then I continue on with the process by disconnecting the battery and then removing the 2 connectors. Gray/silver on came off just fine. I go to do the tan/beige one and it wouldn’t come off. Tried to figure out why it wouldn’t come off and in the end the red latch that locks that connector in place ended up breaking off on both sides. The latch is still in one piece but both sides that were holding it on broke off. Now I have an appointment with my local dealership next week for them to fix that plus figure out why connector isn’t coming off at all. Talk about major frustration.

I would like to give it a little more umph when towing...does this have the ability to change on the fly (from a standard tune to a tow tune)? Also have eTorque (unfortunately) and wondering if it works with that setup. Hope that makes sense.

@@joestreetglider these Hemis down fuel without MDS. Keep it in 7th around town....this disables it. Then run with the 8 showing to get MDS. Simple as hell without getting ripped off 🤷♂️
I just did the pcm swap and Diablo tune two days ago and then installed the custom tune yesterday, not going to say who, but I really can’t tell the difference from stock. I have an AFE Momentum GT intake and a cat back exhaust. I know there isn’t a big jump when tuning a N/A vehicle but I expected to feel something. I guess I am spoiled coming from a tuned 2018 Raptor. It was a night and day difference between stock and tuned.
@@BEASTProjects I guess I spoke too soon. I took it out yesterday and it immediately felt like a different truck! It doesn’t feel like a race truck but it has a peppier, more crisp feel to it now. I have no idea why it didn’t feel that way right after loading the tune but after sitting overnight it sure feels like a tuned truck now.

Okay so i just ordered a 2023 Ram Rebel 5.7 W/ Etorque....my question is SHOULD or SHOULD I NOT put a catch can on it? I know what it does but just getting into modding a truck and seeing it's my first time doing so I've done a lot of research on everything i wanna do with it. I'm aware of what catch can does and i wouldnt be so blind to think it adds HP it doesnt. I'm just not understanding the whole direct injection vs the other option just yet or lingo people say. So that's why I'm asking what others thoughts are.
My opinion I honestly don't think you need one on a 5.7 Hemi also if you live somewhere very cold just keep in mind that it's going to freeze in the winter time you have to keep an eye on it or remove.
Click down a gear "Bingo " no MDS run around town not letting it shift to 8th and it stays off. Go in 8th on the highway. You still save all the fuel and you get rid of the sound when you want. Dont waste money on crappy tuners. Buy a mild cam , more power for a fraction of the cost
Gary Woodgate Diablo tuners are the absolute best, try one and you will see. I had a SRT Charger and it absolutely turned it in to a completely different car for the better, big time!!! Shifts were crisp, mpg improved, power band was so much improved. Just a way more precise vehicle. Trust me, Diablo is the best at this game.
I have a 2020 rebel. I did the 91 preloaded tune and raised the speed limit and tire change. I cant clear my service traction light to go off now. 4wd works fine,cause of that winter storm we had. Still trying to het more info from Diablo.
Were you able to tune the TCM? I have a 2021 and although I can load the PCM tunes, it doesn't give any option for TCM and doesn't give me the backup TCM file to send to my tuner.

Did you happen to have the dreaded issue a lot of us were having with the Pulsar where the dash would light up like a christmas tree and it would either go into limp mode or lose throttle control and it it would accelerate on its own. How are you liking this system now that you have had it for a few months? I am debating switching. Gone through two Pulsar units now and same issue. With the wife driving the truck it is always a concern so i removed it.

I like it better, full tuning always the better way to go if you can do it. You can definitely feel the power difference & it’s much smoother than the Pulsar.

Sounds good..nice pep. I had a 12' regular cab short bed with the Hemi, tuning and a muflex. It was pretty snappy.

You should get a custom tunes. I got mine from jay green at green racing. Night and day difference from stock. I got the pcm and tcm tunes as well.

Should install a trans cooler they keep that transmission cool especially after the trans tune

I thought the Rams 2015 onward couldn't be tuned only the pcm had to be flashed or use a pulsar.
The diablo comes with a unlocked ecu

Will this allow you to fully turn off the Traction and stability control?
I know I am late but in 4x4 high hold the traction button down for 10 seconds your truck will tell you esc turned off

ran this + custom tune on my last truck, and deciding between this or pulsar (simpler to yank if i need warrenty service) -- does this actually disable MDS (vs just giving throttle to cancel it like the pulsar)?
It actually shuts down the MDS.

Maybe I missed something but why you have a catch can on a non-turbo
The catch can stops the oil blow-by from being recycled through the intake. You’ll be amazed in how much it collects between oil changes.

You should be able to do it without it. Just hold down the TC button until it's completely deactivated.

How does it compare to the edge pulsar you had? Might have to upgrade mine to this.
I like it better, full tuning always the better way to go if you can do it. You can definitely feel the power difference & it’s much smoother than the Pulsar.
What happened with the pulsar
Why did you take the pulsar out? I don’t see a vid for it... I get you don’t want to stack it with this. But was something not ok with it?
Had some issues w/ it, so I pulled it. Edge sent us a new updated one, however I decided to go w/ full tuning for future plans w/ the build.
What’s your thoughts on tuning the 3.6 ETorq Ram 1500?
