Waddle Dees United Yea I totally agree, i remember playing this game when I was like 5 or 6 years old back when I never knew that you can get a memory card to save your game and I was always in the second area in the game I Was HORRIFIED by Shivers that butler with the torch that gave me absolute nightmares! I have many memories with this game and I’m going to be getting the 3DS Remake even though it might look slightly worse graphically but to go back to those days will be amazing trip down memory lane and I am bummed out that the game didn’t get a switch HD remake, I’m still happy it’s even getting the remake! =D
Jensen Drake I think the models actually look better. The resolution is what's lower, but the models have more polygons in the 3DS one, at least it looks that way to me. I also like how they kept his scared expression and stiff walking from the original instead of being lazy and reusing Dark Moon's assets.
I heard about Weegee's Mansion 3DS Remake as well. TBH Weegee's Mansion Dark Moon is a fun game too, well you will all say the original is better but, Dark Moon isn't that bad.
As far as I know (in terms of the date of this comment), I haven't seen or heard anything about a Luigi's Mansion for the switch being made or even announced. In terms of a Luigi's Mansion 3, there are only speculations and rumors going about so.....I guess not? I mean, I can't make a video about a game that hasn't even been shown off before....
Michael Echeverria Since it's a remaster, it'll probably be the same game with updated graphics. On the 3DS. However, it's Nintendo, they can do whatever they want with the game. It might end up like SM64DS and be completely revamped and remade, with beta content, obviously.
Moojik Boi I wonder if LM3 will even be on the Switch. The Wii didn't have a LM, the Wii U didn't have a LM, and the only handheld that had a LM was the 3DS. The Switch is only a year old, so I don't know for sure, but LM3 likely won't happen for the Switch, especially since a remaster for the 3DS is in development and scheduled for release.
Honestly, I adore how ambitious many betas from Nintendo's N64-Early Gamecube era was... Well not ambitious but something that's interesting by how different it is from the final game
This is so interesting... playing the beta would be a blast. The beta was so interesting and insanely mysterious. It’s so mysterious it’s kinda... scary.
At 20:35 I'll provide my opinion on what these tracks are. Track 1: Remember when you capture Sue Pea? When you exit the room the room flips over and returns back to normal when you enter it again. While it's flipping a rumbling sound is played. This track is probably the original sound. Track 2: A sound effect for when a ghost enters the room. Track 3: Most likely for testing purposes. But could've been used for the Capturing Ghost theme because that track is mainly comprised of random noises. Track 4: Sounds very otherworldly. Probably could've been used for Bogmire or the unused Elh boss. This what I think these tracks are at one point used for.
If you think that whoever was "speaking" was saying "Welcome to..." then I'm 99,9% sure it's just random gibberish or something that either belonged to a deleted sequence or even an used one. Who knows--it could be for some removed character or ghost and stuff like that. But well, speculating won't get us anywhere. Just sayin'.
Every couple of years someone makes a more extensive video on this topic... First it was Yurifowind, then Glitchdoctor and now you. 10 to 30 to 40 minute videos. Great stuff man!
I have never played Luigi's mansion and the only reason that got me to this video, was that you seemed like you had reasearched a lot for this. I was surprised by the quality of the content and by how much you deserve many more subscribers. I love it man, keep going 😁

Maybe it would've gotten a Teen rating but, we'll never know for sure (unless the new Luigi's Mansion 3DS is rated Teen in the future). And its funny that you mention Metroid Prime and SA's 1 and 2 because those are on my list of games to do so, look forward to seeing them in the future!

I think the reason there are so little unused maps is because these were just tests here. If you look at the mansion as a whole, it has a pretty coherent architecture, every room fits right next to each other so they probably had a huge floor plan they stuck with (although some rooms are in different places in the E3 footage? anyone can confirm that?)

My first experience with Luigi’s mansion was in a resort room in 2010. The room had a game cube. Luigi’s mansion was one of the games. I loved it. But I couldn’t play it at home because I didn’t have a game cube. A few years later I got a 3ds and was given Luigi’s mansion dark moon. I loved it as well. Then, the classic came out for 3ds. Then I had a heart attack. The end
I think the unused Mario model may have been used for a remove mingame were after you get a boss it would cut to Mario being in a room were King boo would host a game were you had to capture ghost and survive if you win you get smoe treasure or peals that's just my opinion
great video man you explained it quite well i've been watching lm beta videos for a long time since like I first beat the game in like 2009 or so and I tend to watch videos about em if I see new ones cause I think that maybe someone will discover something new or mention something other people don't mention and I just always love these videos in the first place.
Tails Gaming Thanks and I've been watching videos of vbeta's of video games for a long time as well. However, sometimes there would be info that they would miss or forget whether intentionally or unintentionally. And I decided I would be that person to tell most of the info I can find about the game, interesting or not. NiNFan237 ya im glad to hear it it just sucks that we will probably never know the truth about the whole “game over screen” which we dont even know if its a game over screen wish that nintendo would speak up about it or something but of course they would have no time for it it reminds me of how I remember seeing on a very old lm beta video on TH-cam back in like 2011 that had a comment saying they tried to email nintendo or something and someone actually responded and said something like we dont know what you’re talking about we never had plans for that (i forgot what it was might have been about the safari ghost tho) but he also said something like but us people at nintendo would like to have some mysterys stay hidden so people have something to talk about. Now it might be fake but it’s definitely something interesting that I remember probably will never find the video again but hey thought i mention it.
TL;DR: The "bethaz zombie weegee game over" never existed. It was just a part of the SW2000's LM techdemo and nothing more than that. The E3 build had the game over we know and love from the final.

We do have footage for running out of time. Check out the E3 2001 Nintendo Booth video (or something named like that.) When the timer reached 1:30, E. Gadd would contact Luigi, say some stuff nobody's been able to find out what it was and then send the player back to the title screen--which also meant the next player's turn.

Somthing about the clock. I remember hearing that the clock was for the space world demos and when it hit zero... it would just end by Egad calling you and it was another persons go.
That could be a possible reason. I mean, it was common for Nintendo to use Timers to stop players so that everyone can have a chance at trying out the game, especially at a convention like E3. I think they could still be using that method to this day but, I've no clue if a recent game demo has done that.
If you're referring to the LM preview trailer on October 2001 Interactive Demo Disc, then yes. It included footage mostly from one of the "disabled GBH" builds which I.E. had a different Boo counter, suckable ghost health particles, etc.
Well if @LMFinish's Channel says no, and that guy knows his Luigi's Mansion stuff, then it's most likely a rumor or misinterpreted facts. I've never heard of elh ever being named something like luigismurder personally so, it honestly sounds like a rumor to me. Would've been interesting if that was the case though. ....uh...Idk. Anyways, that is a good possibility that the audio file could've been used for Elh. Also about your comment about the Boo in the floor being Boolossuss, I double checked the video and I'm pretty sure that's King Boo, albeit, without his iconic crown. You can see the difference in the design of the eye's where Boolossus has yellowish eye color while King Boo has a purple-ish eye color, just like the boo that's in the floor on 13:25 . Yeah, I totally realized it when I uploaded the video that I forgot to talk about the coin counter, the tracker for the ghosts and other things. I did talk about one scrapped gameboy horror element, the unused clock. And like I said in the end card at the end of the video, I don't mind people correcting me. I'm human after all and I knew I might miss a few things in the video.
I'm not totally sure if you're asking if Ehl could be used now or what he was going to be used for but, in the case of what he was going to be used for, the general consensus (as far as I know) is either he was an unused boss or its an early model for Bogmire. As for if he could still be used via hacking or mods, I'm not totally sure on that aspect. If any Luigi's Mansion modder out there can verify that Ehl can be fully modded into the game (specifically talking to the fact checker @LMFinish's Channel here), please verify if it can be done or not.
@@NiNFan237 I'm late, but as far as I know, if you want to give Elh some use in-game, your only options would be model replacements and events. Sadly, his actor and all of his code (if he ever had any of those) were deleted so that definitely makes the job harder.
Well, I've heard many people say that he was possessed while others say he's depressed from Mario dying. I was just addressing both sides of the argument because, in all honesty, we can't be too sure that Luigi would've been possessed unless there is proof of it or if one of the developers said he was actually going to be possessed.

Actually Weegee is depressed. Somewhere in the video shows Weegee sitting while holding a Daisy with that same creepy, but sad face. So pretty much it seems that when you fail in the Beta version, Mario dies and the mansion itself will vanish.
Johvanny Feliciano Actually, when the Game Boy Horror reaches a certain time, E. Gadd comes up and ends the demo. And as LMFinish said, Depressed Luigi was nothing more than a snippet from the SW2000 demo.
We don't know for sure but, I think it might be the bad ending if I recall correctlly. Me and another youtuber named LMFinish's Channel discussed something like that in length somewhere in the comments. Unfortunately, its been so long that I don't exactly recall the details...
NiNFan237 It was SO unexpected being the first thing they reveal with the direct XD the game looks really cool it looks more like a haunted hotel and I have a theory. I believe that in the first scene you can see Mario’s case on the ground possibly for Mario’s vacation including toad and peach you can see them all crossed out on the top corner on a scene. So far this game seems very similar to dark moon on visuals and esthetic which is less scary and more kids like which I’m not a fan with at all. I’m not too concerned because the game is still far from development but so far the game looks fantastic this was the dream game that I wanted in this direct! Thank you Nintendo :D
This game seems like it’s just the huge skyscraper mansion which I much prefer one huge mansion based on exploration rather than having to play mission based mansions that were less of a horror game and more of a puzzle game. I hope this game will be similar to the first one than dark moon.

They are in fact named *bmario* and *dmario* -- so yeah, there's nothing wrong with their naming of these models. Also, nah, it doesn't mean "beta". There's absolutely no way it does. I highly doubt they would ever use that innacurate term for their stuff.
@@NiNFan237 I learned that the demo models in games are used in cutscenes, i.e in Super Mario Galaxy, 2 unused Mario models have Demo in their names so they were used in cutscenes and in Luigi's Mansion the final version of Mario model is D_Mario, which means that said final Mario model is only a cutscene one.

The pitches of the two sound effects are just slightly bit different to where it could be assume they just copied each other, I'll give you that. However, something tells me that it is very coincidental considering that Half Life 2 is 3 years younger than Luigi's Mansion (HL2 came out in 2004 while Luigi's Mansion came out in 2001). That doesn't mean its not possible that it could be the same sound effect but, something tells me that Valve wouldn't use any sound effect from Nintendo, used or not used, for legal issues.

NiNFan237 ya im glad to hear it it just sucks that we will probably never know the truth about the whole “game over screen” which we dont even know if its a game over screen wish that nintendo would speak up about it or something but of course they would have no time for it it reminds me of how I remember seeing on a very old lm beta video on TH-cam back in like 2011 that had a comment saying they tried to email nintendo or something and someone actually responded and said something like we dont know what you’re talking about we never had plans for that (i forgot what it was might have been about the safari ghost tho) but he also said something like but us people at nintendo would like to have some mysterys stay hidden so people have something to talk about. Now it might be fake but it’s definitely something interesting that I remember probably will never find the video again but hey thought i mention it.
TL;DR: The "bethaz zombie weegee game over" never existed. It was just a part of the SW2000's LM techdemo and nothing more than that. The E3 build had the game over we know and love from the final.

We do have footage for running out of time. Check out the E3 2001 Nintendo Booth video (or something named like that.) When the timer reached 1:30, E. Gadd would contact Luigi, say some stuff nobody's been able to find out what it was and then send the player back to the title screen--which also meant the next player's turn.

Somthing about the clock. I remember hearing that the clock was for the space world demos and when it hit zero... it would just end by Egad calling you and it was another persons go.
That could be a possible reason. I mean, it was common for Nintendo to use Timers to stop players so that everyone can have a chance at trying out the game, especially at a convention like E3. I think they could still be using that method to this day but, I've no clue if a recent game demo has done that.

If you're referring to the LM preview trailer on October 2001 Interactive Demo Disc, then yes. It included footage mostly from one of the "disabled GBH" builds which I.E. had a different Boo counter, suckable ghost health particles, etc.

Actually, nope. That was all BS. When the timer reached its limit, which was 1:30 AM instead, E. Gadd would pop up and send the player back to the title screen so others could give the demo a try.

Also about your comment about the Boo in the floor being Boolossuss, I double checked the video and I'm pretty sure that's King Boo, albeit, without his iconic crown. You can see the difference in the design of the eye's where Boolossus has yellowish eye color while King Boo has a purple-ish eye color, just like the boo that's in the floor on 13:25 . Yeah, I totally realized it when I uploaded the video that I forgot to talk about the coin counter, the tracker for the ghosts and other things. I did talk about one scrapped gameboy horror element, the unused clock. And like I said in the end card at the end of the video, I don't mind people correcting me. I'm human after all and I knew I might miss a few things in the video.

I'm not totally sure if you're asking if Ehl could be used now or what he was going to be used for but, in the case of what he was going to be used for, the general consensus (as far as I know) is either he was an unused boss or its an early model for Bogmire. As for if he could still be used via hacking or mods, I'm not totally sure on that aspect. If any Luigi's Mansion modder out there can verify that Ehl can be fully modded into the game (specifically talking to the fact checker @LMFinish's Channel here), please verify if it can be done or not.
@@NiNFan237 I'm late, but as far as I know, if you want to give Elh some use in-game, your only options would be model replacements and events. Sadly, his actor and all of his code (if he ever had any of those) were deleted so that definitely makes the job harder.

Well, I've heard many people say that he was possessed while others say he's depressed from Mario dying. I was just addressing both sides of the argument because, in all honesty, we can't be too sure that Luigi would've been possessed unless there is proof of it or if one of the developers said he was actually going to be possessed.
Simple explanation going, this-Depressed-Luigi-shit-never-existed-at-all. The "Zombie Luigi" that everyone thinks it may have been Luigi's depressed form after failing to save Mario was nothing more than just a snippet from the GC's SW2000 techdemo.

NiNFan237 It was SO unexpected being the first thing they reveal with the direct XD the game looks really cool it looks more like a haunted hotel and I have a theory. I believe that in the first scene you can see Mario’s case on the ground possibly for Mario’s vacation including toad and peach you can see them all crossed out on the top corner on a scene. So far this game seems very similar to dark moon on visuals and esthetic which is less scary and more kids like which I’m not a fan with at all. I’m not too concerned because the game is still far from development but so far the game looks fantastic this was the dream game that I wanted in this direct! Thank you Nintendo :D
This game seems like it’s just the huge skyscraper mansion which I much prefer one huge mansion based on exploration rather than having to play mission based mansions that were less of a horror game and more of a puzzle game. I hope this game will be similar to the first one than dark moon.

*listens to the sound effect in the other video* I will admit it does sound similar but, it could just be a coincidence. The pitches of the two sound effects are just slightly bit different to where it could be assume they just copied each other, I'll give you that. However, something tells me that it is very coincidental considering that Half Life 2 is 3 years younger than Luigi's Mansion (HL2 came out in 2004 while Luigi's Mansion came out in 2001). That doesn't mean its not possible that it could be the same sound effect but, something tells me that Valve wouldn't use any sound effect from Nintendo, used or not used, for legal issues.
