I would have liked a Mario Mode that got progressively harder and the ending was Mario discovering Big Boo and getting trapped.
Yea it would be very cool and it was unlocked after beating the game and if beat Mario Mode you unlock Mário and is able to play multiplayer and play as Mario

It would be cool if the title screen was "Mario's Mansion" and the game starts with Mario running to the Mansion during sunset. He runs around and of course gets trapped. The Camera zooms out from the Mansion and lighting occurs with the distant shouts from Mario. The title appears the same then a flash of lightning hits "Luigi's mansion" Is seen instead. The epilogue ends
The screen goes black and the words Five hours later appear and the game starts with Luigi walking to the mansion.

I can't be the only one who loves how dark Luigi's Mansion is. Not in forefront but more how they added humanoid ghosts who explicitly died. I just always thought that was super cool and really creepy, especially when I was younger.

@@mr.vidjagamez9896 Yes, the 3DS remake has the PAL hidden mansion with some slight differences like no longer being flipped and not riding the poltergust during the Boolossus fight. It is still refreshingly challenging though if you're used to the regular mansion.

I think that although the map of the game is very small, it is brilliant how much depth was still put into the game
Its almost Metroidvania-like
It's a bit like the concept of immersive sims, small in-game spaces by open world standards
They're small, but dense with depth and detail. That explains it best IMO

I always thought that Mario being playable or even a second player at all wasn't even thought of in the conception of the game. The marketing at least made me believe that they just wanted to make a game centering around Luigi to put him in the limelight. Nonetheless, very fascinating find.

This really brings a lot of things to light with consoles and their closed nature. If this was primarily a PC game, it would have been cracked wide open within days, and we could have had a working coop mod likely within a few weeks of release.

I love this kinds of things, discovering things in old games I mean. Remember how it took for people to finally figure out "The 10th enemy has the bomb."? That was discovered in (I think 2012) that's ~25 years, a quarter of a century, after the game was released.

One of the few things I've heard about unused content in Luigi's mansion is there's a PNG of daisy from the first mario tennis somewhere in the files
The current theories say it was most likely a place holder and/or Luigi was originally going to save daisy instead of mario

It’s amazing to see someone talk about the nostalgia of this game and the nostalgia of the L is real in a way that makes me remember my own childhood intrigue. The way I’d make up my own stories while playing through games, having favorite levels or rooms to explore and “hang out” in- I feel like we had very similar experiences with this game and other games like Mario 64.
Thanks for an awesome video! I’m going to try to get my sister to play the 2 player mod with me next time she’s in town. Like you said, it’s like reclaiming a piece of childhood.
I have a theory; There was originally gonna be a flashback cutscene/realtime render of mario trying to catch the ghosts but king boo got him. Possibly during the fortune tellers info bites. They probably dropped them as it would be a lot of work for something that would ruin the reward of getting the first GC render on mario in the ending.

@@PippyPipPip I enjoy history as well, this had very little to no substance. I can't recount details because I watched it almost a week ago now (i'm not re-watching it.) But my complaint was that it's very boring and felt like 7m could have been removed and the video would've improved.
Yeah this is my main complaint against this channel too. No matter how interesting or insignificant the topic of the video is it will always have multiple minutes of padding and filler scripted into it. It becomes very repetitive after a few videos, especially when a lot of it is just repeating the same sentiments over and over. A video about a few inaccessible coins can be interesting but it's not 9 minutes of interesting.
I like his voice so I honestly don't mind.

Huh didn't know the map was that small... It seemed so much bigger when I played it as a kid. It now reminds me of like a rated E Resident Evil and I love that about the game, I hope they keep that vibe in the upcoming one.
The mansion is small, however it is very compact. Technically 4 floors PACKED with stuff, and the boos really help with making each revisit feel fresh!

JMGO It’s Luigi’s hair standing up from Luigi’s scared animation. His model changed expression but his hat stayed on and he didn’t jump up. He probably behaved oddly because of the buggy nature of the multiplayer.

I wasn’t old enough to be able to get my hands on the original Luigi’s Mansion, however, Dark Moon was one of my favourite games on the 3DS so when I heard that Luigi’s Mansion 3 was coming out, I preordered it right away. Can’t wait to get it and I hope other people can get their hands on it as well.
So basically like with most Nintendo games, the best ideas are always the ones attempted and then scratched for later.

First video game I ever played. I first started playing when I was 5 or six, I'm 20 now and although I've beaten it over 50 times, there's always some new mystery to discover.
Why when people discover things like this, it just amazes me so much? It’s just beautiful, the game we’ve been playing, it has a lot more than we think it does. So far this video has amazed me, like wow. Luigi’s mansion was being made for two players. I love these videos.

I remember getting Luigis mansion for my birthday and it was all I played when I got home from school I did my homework and then played it woke up on the weekends I played it. There was very little things that could stop me from playing this (in my opinion) masterpiece
I love that with SM64 for once the DS version of a game actually seemed to have more content (as opposed to the typical: far less content) than the main console version. Not only did it contain Yoshi plus M, L & W but also 8stars/course.
