Also the music switching to the Great Sea theme from Wind Waker when Linkus was mentioned at 15:38 was such a nice touch.

i know absolutely nothing about speedrunning or luigi's mansion, but seeing so many people come together over the course of 10 years to get such an insane time makes me so happy
I remember playing this game growing up and seeing the Chauncey health while he was bouncy glitch years ago. If only I knew how important that was. Absolutely amazing video. Worth every second
Did you know, in America and Japan, the hidden mansion simply makes you take more damage and attack stronger. However, in the rest of the world the hidden mansion actually does this, but also makes it way harder, mirrroring the mansion, adding way more ghosts, making boos harder to catch etc.. so the "hard mode" actually IS a lot harder.
Great video! Awesome music/editing and very informative. The only speedrunning trick I ever knew about in this game was the original OOB from glitch compilations, it’s insane to see how far it’s come since then!
The speedrunning community seems more chill and wholesome than I expected. While it is still competitive, people will often encourage and help each other out in finding new techniques and will revel in the discoveries they make together. It's just nice to see people being bros and not fighting over petty things
