The song "time" is create by Hans Zimmer. This is really a artistic song in a very high level. This song doesn't like earth culture, that is like Alien culture?
This man is such a legend, I love how his skepticism gets him going and how he said: "I have a 9 to 5 job. I start at 9 in the evening and finish at 5 in the morning."
When I first heard Time by Hans Zimmer I would borrow my dads tablet and put 10hour version of the song on and slept to it for years as a child. More and more this songs grows to fulfill the ultimatums of movement for change in my life.

One of the best movies I’ve seen and the music DEFINITELY plays into it. I recently remembered I could’ve seen Hans Zimmer‘s Music being played live in Cologne some time ago and I’m sad I didn’t know about that back then.
The same thing with the music score he makes for games. Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 2 made the game so much more intense and you got the feel of being in a role af a great story!
My favorite Hans Zimmer moment is him geeking out about Giacchino's score for Up on a CNN segment. He's not just an amazing composer, but humble and encouraging of others as well.
The deeply personal, human creative process, incapsulated in your comments. Self-doubt and ones inner thoughts are both the harshest and loudest critic. ‘We can all sing, it’s what the rest of the world thinks that matters ultimately though.’ By; me ;)
It's still a travesty that Hans didn't win best score for Interstellar. That score was 50% of the movie. Without Zimmer I don't know if it even conveys the message properly or the same way.
It is a travesty. Such a powerful score. Visceral and beautiful. I listened to just the score months on cd. Of course the picture is a modern masterpiece.
I think the award is meant to honor the score that best served the film and I think that HZ's music is very selfish and it's like he's telling the story his own way. Personally I think the movie and music are masterpieces but they feel like two great separate masterpieces. I don't know if that makes sense, anyway that score could probably bring an MMA fighter to tears so they could have given him the award anyway
'it's like he's telling the story his own way" That's his job!!! . He wasn't given the script for the film . He was only given a brief outline of the man and daughter story. It served the film and affected millions.
Joe Urban Spielberg is a child at heart and he puts too many children in his movies but his visual story telling is amazing. Combined with John Williams’s music and it’s the very best of movie experience.

Phillip Glass definitely inspired the main organ theme with Koyaanisqatsi however there is much more to the entire Interstellar suite. Theres soaring angelic violin sections and quiet piano riffs. All of the main melodies are so iconic too, like they're classics that have existed for decades. Its his most complete and fully realised score imo.
That fact he never got to talk about The Prince of Egypt is by far one of the greatest mistakes here. The music and score has gotta be one of my favourite soundtracks of his and possibly of all time

we are so lucky to be in the same era as Hans Zimmer. This man is a Beethoven of our time.
Everyone’s making jokes about how musically talented he is, let’s talk about how good his MEMORY is. He remembered he got a call at 9 am for a movie ~20 years ago, what day he got a call for a movie ~15 years ago; like, bravo
Exactly! He knows exactly when he sat down to write down the pirates of the Caribbean theme (7:30 pm)

This man wrote the Pirates of the Carribean theme and he still thinks he hasn't found his great song yet. You're pretty humble for a God, Mr. Zimmer.
I LOVE THIS COMMENT
He's dah man but..."a god", though...?
You can hear the pirates theme developed over his previous films. Watch the opening battle sequence in Gladiator and you will hear things incredibly familiar
Klaus Badelt did music for Pirates.

I think Time is his greatest track of all time, it still gives me chills every time I hear it!
100% Agreed!
Hans Zimmer is my hero
The song "time" is create by Hans Zimmer.
This is really a artistic song in a very high level.
This song doesn't like earth culture,
that is like Alien culture?
wut? xD

Sad to hear that your hero is a hypocrite and a liar.
Abraham Mast do you know what a hero is? What type of courage is Hans Zimmer known for. I’m unaware.

Dragon Curve Enthusiast yeah, I was watching this casually and suddenly that part really hit me in the feels :D
And I didn't realize til now that Hans Zimmerman has been adding music to my life since I was 6!
I scrolled down to see if someone else needed to quote this.....
This man is such a legend, I love how his skepticism gets him going and how he said:
"I have a 9 to 5 job. I start at 9 in the evening and finish at 5 in the morning."
Inception is one of my favorite movies ever. Hans Zimmer's soundtrack for it is stunning!
me too
When I first heard Time by Hans Zimmer I would borrow my dads tablet and put 10hour version of the song on and slept to it for years as a child. Im 23 now and out of the military, and I’ve been listening to it on repeat when I go to bed now that Ive been in college. More and more this songs grows to fulfill the ultimatums of movement for change in my life.
I *literally* cried when I heard "Time" for the first time, he is such an amazing composer.
The end gives me chills everytime, just before the song/movie ends..

Everyone says that
My all time favorite piece of music
Seriously though who doesn't
"I'm a director."
"Yeah, you and my mother both."
Yeah he's a legend alright
@Jonny E you mean you didn't get the quote? Or do you mean you didn't get that it's a quote?
@Jonny E Mothers like to tell their children what to do. Sort of what directors do
@Jonny E when the director showed up in the early morning & claimed he is a director. Hans replied with slight disdain that his mother is also a director. Sort of saying i don't believe you, go away, i need to sleep. I mean it’s not funny like you would laugh out loud but defo humorous imo
Jonny E kind of like responding to something unbelievable with “yeah and I’m the King of England” or something similar, he was claiming that his mother was a director as much as this guy apparently was, which she isn’t
if the joke has to be explained it looses humor
For Lion King: "Dad wants to show off and that is why I took the job" 😂😂😂
Also to create a piece of music in memory of his father 😭. I'm a big Zimmer fan and never knew that. Him mentioning it made me tear up.

I absolutely agree
One of the best movies I’ve seen and the music DEFINITELY plays into it. I recently remembered I could’ve seen Hans Zimmer‘s Music being played live in Cologne some time ago and I’m sad I didn’t know about that back then.
The music helps set the tone so beautiful. The score makes it so you feel exactly what your supposed to
my favorite movie and the music is possibly better than the story itself.
Just one second of interstellar soundtrack is enough to give me shivers.
Cyberaser Haven’t even seen it but just these clips instantly gave me shivers too

What a career this man has... He's made some of the most iconic soundtracks for some of the most iconic movies
interstellar really gave you a sense of how big the universe is thru the music, so powerful
It's still a travesty that Hans didn't win best score for Interstellar. That score was 50% of the movie. Without Zimmer I don't know if it even conveys the message properly or the same way.
it does not. I watch the movie for the music only.
Spencer Kelly Thank you! Alexandra Desplat was good but Hans Zimmer was way better!
And yet, he didn't mention Hanibal, Man of steel, The Last Samurai, Kung Fu Panda, Black Hawk Down or the Shelock Holmes movies

The Last Samurai soundtrack is so good
The Holiday too. It's my favorite.

@MyboiJAEGER I can imagine. You often think that they must know when "My heart will go on" is all done, bounced out and they listen to it for the first time in the studio.
Its a common theme with those who become great. They keep pushing of fear or doubt. Success then being relief more than anything.
Interstellar is his best and one of the finest film scores ever composed.

My favourite Nolan film too.
Thanks to Philip glass :)
Interstellar is godlike
That fact he never got to talk about The Prince of Egypt is by far one of the greatest mistakes here. The music and score has gotta be one of my favourite soundtracks of his and possibly of all time
I couldn't agree more. The music is so moving and beautiful. I cry everytime I watch and listen to Deliver Us. But really, all the songs and the entire soundtrack is brilliant.

My thoughts exactly
Guys, the dude has like over 200 composer credits on IMDb and a lot of his movies are legendary in themselves. If Vanity Fair were to include all of them, he would never leave. lol
The dude has like 200 composers working for him in his sweatshop studio, Remote Control Productions.
