I love how you waited at the start, to allow the music to play. I’m a BIG Street Fighter fan, and one of the reasons is the music! Brilliant. Also, you play quite well with Blanka! I always wanted to learn his style, and Vega’s, but alas. My best characters from the Street Fighter series are Cammy and Chun-Li 😃

I remember playing this game in the early 90's in Jamaica, Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth to be exact. I use to take my lunch breaks and go over across the street at a game shop in front of Santa Cruz All Age School (Now called Santa Cruz Primary & Junior High) and even take my lunch money just to play this game. Most awesome game ever. I admired this guy called Spergy that used to run the joint - played this game back in the days, he would never lose a game. Blanka and E-Honda was my favorite tho.... This game bring back soooo much memories.....

When I first played the game, Vega was my favorite... then they gave him a weird high-pitched voice, and that was it. Now, I don't really have a favorite character, but I stand by (SF4) Ryu, (SF4) Ken, (SFV) Chun-Li and Cammy. Rose and Fei Long are cool, too.

All be damned!!! Not a single triple combo and breezed right through it. I've beaten the game a handful of times without losing a single round (to get the special ending) on level 7 difficulty, but u made that look too damn easy. Your timing is possibly the best I've seen! Jesus

How is it that I enjoy the music and the graphics on the home system 100 times more than in the arcade of this game? Maybe my memories of playing this and Mortal Kombat in my room as a teenager in the 90s are just so sacred. The music of the home consoles were just SOOOOO much better, except maybe for Guile's army base on the arcade.
This was interesting to watch, good job. Despite the fact I don't like Blanka as a character, it was cool watching someone that knows what they are doing beat other people around as him.

omg when this came out on the SNES me and my buddy split the money to buy it and stayed up all night playing it..it came out in July so it was summer vacation.
Ryu and Ken: of course when they uppercut it’s “Shoryuken”. Then of course, there is the infamous “Hadouken”. But, when they hit the hurricane kick it’s sounds like gibberish. But what they are really saying if you listen closely is “ Tatsumaki Senpu Kick” you may not hear the “I” in Tatsumaki but it’s there. I wondered why they would replace “Kyaku” which in Japanese means “Kick”. Maybe because of restrictive reasons. Anyway, I could not understand when I was younger what they were saying for a long time lol.

They were both trained in the art of the Ansatsuken (literally "assassination fist") by Gouken, since they were little, so they are childhood friends and rivals. In SF1, Ryu is P1 and Ken is P2, which means that Ryu starts from the left side and Ken from the right side of the screen for the rest of the game. Their moves are exactly the same. In SF2, Ryu and Ken movesets are the same (except for one of Ken's throws) until SF2 Champion Edition came out, where Ken's Shoryuken and Tatsumaki were changed a bit.

Something is strange about this. I played WW many times on level 7 and could beat it without continuing, but never had such an easy time of it. CPU seems dumber than usual here.
I remember my first ever 3 difficulty run. Picked Blanka, and jump kicked the ENTIRE RUN! 20-24 rounds later, I FINALLY beat the game. So many years ago. Now, I main Ryu and Ken.
Tell me about it. My uncle gifted this to me when I was little and I still can't believe it. Back in the day, we couldn't afford buying $30 - $60 video games. And I think he still doesn't know how much it meant to me. My uncles were the best.
We used to call E. Honda Eugene I have no idea why lol was just something stupid we made up...making fun of the names and the music and sound effects and everything was part of the fun of playing this game lol.
Some of the places in the city they went I used to think I was sort of like a grown-up and imagine I was there to watching the fight doing grown up stuff watching that is nothing else LOL
One thing I've noticed is that BISON goes absolutely insane against Blanka. Against Chun Li and Vega, he's a little faster. But he is ridiculously faster against Blanka.
I can't believe it took me fucking 15+ years to realize this, but Blanka is this game's SONIC! The way he rolls in the air! It's a homing attack (or, it might as well be that anyway)! xD
This game lost me at least one friendship in first grade. I went over to my friends house and all I wanted to do was play his SNES version. Of course he owned it so he was real bored with it at that point. Sorry, Clayton. 😀

SF2 Turbo is better! It has all this Game has - and you can play the four Bosses! You are able to choose the Game-Speed too! I love this Game...
