What a loss this is that we still don't have the GlenHelen race back. By far the best track of the season. Ive raced the amateur day, day before pro race and it was the sickest track ever, so much fun and so much fun to watch, can't beat all those hills. Imagine how many people would go to that race if the put it back in the circuit. Some one is really messing this up, and I have a feeling it David. I told you before, the rumor around the pits in 08 was the were going to take it off the circuit because of political reason, GH was flying huge ron Paul flags everywhere through the venue. I respect that, ron Paul was the beginning of the great awakening. He shed light to a lot of issues in this country.

Seeing Glen Helen not as a Motocross National year after year just doesn't make this series complete. I never understood why, but your video certainly filled in some blanks, Cooksey! Hopefully Glen Helen comes back to the schedule again because from a regular standpoint, taking spots like Glen Helen off the schedule was a dick move all around. If only there were a way to get tracks like Kenworthy's and Binghamton back on the schedule... hmm?

A memorial was erected to Super Hunky in the desert next to Husky monument in the Southern California desert a few weeks ago.
DC gave me 4 pit passes for High Point for me, my wife & kids. The interactions & actions that I have experienced with DC have been 100% selfless and kind. What does he have to lie about? What narrative? MX Sports has nothing to hide- they own all of the chips as it is- and the way I see it and you even eluded to in this video- DC's primary focus & concern is making sure this series is the best it can be- period. He has done wonders and his father would be beyond proud. If that means upsetting a track because they want to try and bullworm their way for leverage to do what they want then so be it. It's funny, Glen Helen is the only track that seems to have any issues.
You're spinning this thing about ticket sales and calling MX Sports greedy, yet DC gave me $200 worth pit passes for free, no questions asked. What you're telling me and what I've experienced do not align.

I'd like to see a video detailing the rise of Davey Coombs because I know little about him and how he got there.
I remember the father Dave Coombs being a highly regarded and well-liked race promoter of the Blackwater 100 enduro race back in the 1980s.
In the 1990s, I saw his son Davey as one of the race commentators for televised AMA Supercross (he was the man with the mic in his hand down on the track), and I thought it was pretty cool for his son to be involved with the sport somehow.
Then, I did not hear anything about Davey Coombs for years until this stuff started coming up and I was told he now owns this and that.
In my opinion, Davey Cooms is but a frontman for those behind the scenes that are actually calling the shots, and this means he is told what to do so it appears he's in charge.
It is my opinion that he may show ownership of this and that on paper, but he takes orders from others above him, and in some cases from people you have never seen or heard of.

Facts! I'm an OH/PA/WV ex racer, current rider and have been around for a long time at tracks and the moto scene in this neck of the woods. Davey and his old man, are 2 different peeps. After Davey took over, everything that could be exploited for cash, was.
He has his moto circle, who happens to control most of the sport, both amateur and pro. If youre not in it, be ready to starve and be black balled.

there's a huge sum of money here. The 2000 difference in tickets sounds like a cool $50K and likely much more. Both parties are greedy pigs and while I don't go often to Glen Helen, Hangtown is 40 minutes away, I am less likely too now. This is another example of greedflation.

Gypsy has some great guests but I had to unsubscribe. I get that he trys to emulate Joe rogan in every sense with "his" podcast and jujitsu.. But it's the jujitsu or "we met in 2012, jdr ktm" talk. It got too repetitive especially with cutting off his guests what feels like every 2 mins.

The double Pala gets dropped. But, from what I understand that track is on the Rez so MX Sports probably makes the most money from those.

My thing about the whole thing is why is it okay for every other track to hold a National, but not Glen Helen? I mean no other tracks or promoters seem to have an issues with it. I don’t think Glen Helen has anything special over the other tracks on the schedule that would justify it having a special contract so to speak versus the other tracks. If you do decide to give in to Glen Helen’s demands then every other track is going to except the same.
The other tracks don't have the same backbone as Bud and Glen Helen.
@@CookseyMedia Most tracks are barely cash flow positive, and half of them are seasonal. They NEED the nationals, even if they don't keep most of the money. Glen Helen is packed year-round, they don't have to bend over.

I was watching the gypsy interview with davey and I was confused when he said that Steele city was taken off the schedule because there wasn’t enough room for two Pennsylvania nationals. When I heard that I was like how is that possible? I just went to this past weekends high point national. There were at least 30,000 people there! The crowd was huge! Us people in the Pennsylvania area would love a second Pennsylvania national.

The Nationals are better than ever. GH doesnt make the Nationals. Its one track. The future is Television and Pala looks just fine on TV.
I agree with television, but this issue concerns a tyrant exploiting riders and tracks. Glen Helen is the only one to stand up to them; other tracks feel the same way but are too cowardly to speak up. The nationals are profitable for tracks, but the tracks are not getting a fair shake. Davey broke the track union in order to exploit them.
If MX Sports is so hard to work with then why has every other longstanding track remained part of the series?

You just showed that you have no understanding of how the inside of the industry works. Fox does not own the track they put their name on it because it has the national and it is the only way they can be involved. They are not a series sponsor and have not been for over 20 years.
