I dont know what interview you were watching..... but Langston (admitted) that his employer had no vaccine mandate. I repeat, there was no vaccine mandate. Furthermore, dont you find it rather odd that Grant didnt even seem to know who his Boss was? Why all of the confusion on his part??? In a previous interview, Langston said that he was "invited" to work the final 2 races of the season if he tested negative and went through a brief quarantine. But it doesnt sound like he was really aware of specific Covid protocol. I'm pretty sure that NBC and their HR department are fully aware of the protocol. But according to Grant, he had horrible communication from Lucas Oil and perhaps even Davey Coombs, which he admitted to "ironing" out later. He also didnt even bother with trying to find out what his employment "status" was after the production crew had recorded several positive Covid tests. He implied that he had heard (indirectly) second hand that Ricky was going to be up in the booth and he would have to sit the race out. He felt disrespected by the lack of communication and at that point, decided to quit. Again, after 8 years how does Langston NOT KNOW WHO HIS BOSS is? Why couldnt he have simply had a conversation with his Boss about his employment status? Rumor has it that Grant had been talking about retiring from the booth since back in April so that he could spend more time with his Family. By that time, word was getting back to him that he was going to be replaced, so communication works both ways. No one wanted to tell him that he was out if he didn't get the shot and that's what this all comes down to.

There's a simple Covid protocol in place in Corporate America and it has nothing to do with potential lawsuits as Langston claims. He's just making a "political" statement when he makes that claim. You either get the vaccine shot or you submit to weekly Covid testing. And if you are within 6 feet of an infected co-worker for more than 15 minutes, you have to go into quarantine. This is just basic stuff and it doesnt sound like Grant had a full understanding of the protocol. Doesnt matter if you are working at NBC or are part of a flight crew with Southwest Airlines. Grant even admitted that there was NO VACCINE MANDATE in place by his Employer. And in his very first interview in which he announced his retirement after 8 years, he clearly stated that NBC had invited him to work the last 2 races if he tested negative and sat-out via quarantine. But he repeatedly said that he didnt want to go home and do that, because he felt "weird" about having to field all kinds of texts from friends as to why he wasnt up in the booth that weekend of the race. I am a field service engineer and have been doing this for 22 years and my company in the end of 2021 dropped a vaccine mandate. I never stopped traveling and I worked closely with infected people in all of the food factories I work in and never got sick. Me and everyone else in our service department offered up our resignations and they realized they needed us. They were used to all of the office cubical types doing everything out of fear and obedience and did not expect push back from anyone. All of the loss of freedom and privacy happened because most people are sheep. I fully accepted the risks being fully and better informed than most because I know that the caged bird doesn't sing. Since then I have talked to many people who regret taking the vaccines and a few that have had negative reactions to the vaccines. You can't untake it. Grant is a strong man of freedom and I have enjoyed him greatly over the years. I remember a scene in one of the free rider videos of Grant burning off his back tire on the rev limiter and another racer who I can't remember asked Grant if that was his race bike and Grant smiled and said yeah. That's Grant Langston, bold and freedom loving .

Found Grant through Gypsy actually. I found jase’s channel last July when I was chilling after shoulder surgery. Became obsessed with the podcasts right away. Saw the Ricky Carmichael whiskey throttle show and was hooked with them right away as well. As someone who just got into motocross roughly late last year, I don’t know much of grants history besides his goofy stories. Super sad to not hear him every Saturday anymore, especially since this was my first year ever watching outdoors live every weekend, but I’m super stoked on him for standing up for what he believes in.

There's a simple Covid protocol in place in Corporate America and it has nothing to do with potential lawsuits as Langston claims. He's just making a "political" statement when he makes that claim. You either get the vaccine shot or you submit to weekly Covid testing. And if you are within 6 feet of an infected co-worker for more than 15 minutes, you have to go into quarantine. This is just basic stuff and it doesnt sound like Grant had a full understanding of the protocol. Doesnt matter if you are working at NBC or are part of a flight crew with Southwest Airlines.
Grant even admitted that there was NO VACCINE MANDATE in place by his Employer. And in his very first interview in which he announced his retirement after 8 years, he clearly stated that NBC had invited him to work the last 2 races if he tested negative and sat-out via quarantine. But he repeatedly said that he didnt want to go home and do that, because he felt "weird" about having to field all kinds of texts from friends as to why he wasnt up in the booth that weekend of the race.
I'm sorry folks, but I've lost some respect for GL in the way that he handled this.
Rumor has it that he's been wanting to retire since back in April and had grown tired of the "grind" when it comes to Air travel, delays, and lack of accommodations. If that is indeed true, then why not go out on TOP like a class act after 8 years and simply say that you wanted to spend more time with your Family?

I totally agree with Grant, it’s a personal preference to get vaccinated and people get all upset because someone makes the choice not to have it. What difference does it make to them? I have been vaccinated but my friend make the choice not to , if he got Covid and fell ill that’s his choice.

I am a field service engineer and have been doing this for 22 years and my company in the end of 2021 dropped a vaccine mandate. I never stopped traveling and I worked closely with infected people in all of the food factories I work in and never got sick. Me and everyone else in our service department offered up our resignations and they realized they needed us. They were used to all of the office cubical types doing everything out of fear and obedience and did not expect push back from anyone. All of the loss of freedom and privacy happened because most people are sheep. I fully accepted the risks being fully and better informed than most because I know that the caged bird doesn't sing. Since then I have talked to many people who regret taking the vaccines and a few that have had negative reactions to the vaccines. You can't untake it. Grant is a strong man of freedom and I have enjoyed him greatly over the years.
I remember a scene in one of the free rider videos of Grant burning off his back tire on the rev limiter and another racer who I can't remember asked Grant if that was his race bike and Grant smiled and said yeah. That's Grant Langston, bold and freedom loving .

Found Grant through Gypsy actually. I found jase’s channel last July when I was chilling after shoulder surgery. Became obsessed with the podcasts right away. Saw the Ricky Carmichael whiskey throttle show and was hooked with them right away as well. As someone who just got into motocross roughly late last year, I don’t know much of grants history besides his goofy stories. Super sad to not hear him every Saturday anymore, especially since this was my first year ever watching outdoors live every weekend, but I’m super stoked on him for standing up for what he believes in.
Freedoms are never given, they’re only taken. I’ve got your back like a sweater! I only hope I too can have your strength if the time comes.
