Over 26 years ago I was a 17 year old and pregnant, I went to the abortion clinic near me. I obviously wasn’t a believer but my conscience knew it was wrong. By Gods Providence that day I didn’t kill my child. Fast forward and that beautiful child in me is now 26 years old and just made me a grandmother. I praise God for bestowing common grace on me back then and later granting me salvation.
I never had a hard time understanding the doctrine of depravity because I knew how wicked I was that I was willing to kill my own child. I praise God HE saved me and gave me eyes to see the truth of HIS gospel.

I talked the mother of my eldest daughter to not abort her.
I went with her to the clinic and they told her that she was too far along, but that there was another clinic that would do it.

Yelling, loudness, profanity, name calling, etc. does not make your arguments stronger, does not make your arguments correct, does not make your arguments more persuasive, nor does it make your arguments more likely to be considered by others. Those tactics are designed to end the conversation and the debate because the arguments presented cannot stand scrutiny and there are no more arguments to make. Those tactics end the civility found in having a two sided conversation.

I haven’t watched the video recently but in general this preacher cares a lot about being right and winning an argument by trumping people than anything else. Just listen to the conversation, things can easily take a different turn and I have seen patient Christian brothers speak to highly liberal people in a calm manner. It’s not always possible to keep the peace but there are wise ways to deal with situations. We are told to have speech seasoned with salt and that doesn’t mean to be salty by today’s standards 😂

I also struggle with remaining calm, but I've found that the more I rely on the scriptures to shape my thoughts and values, the less emotionally charged I feel during these types of interactions. If we lean on the scriptures for guidance, then it is easier to distance ourselves from our ego and pride, which is typically the catalyst for getting upset in the first place.
If we speak from our own personal opinions, pride, etc., then of course we get upset when those views are challenged, but if we speak from the Holy Spirit and share God's Word, then it is God's Word that is being challenged, and not our own.
It doesn't mean we can remain calm all the time, but I think you will find the more you grasp for God's Word during these interactions, the less upset you will feel, and then your feelings will shift towards understanding and compassion for your argumentative opponents, which will naturally defuse some of the tension you might be feeling.
I hope this woman watches her self and gets to hear what she sounds like.

States rights, farming, industry, the economy, personal autonomy, human rights, etc. very difficult topic, with many nuances. At a young age of 15 I was pregnant. When my mom found out she told me that I had to leave my family and go to another state or have an abortion.
Of course I didn't want to leave my life so I chose abortion. It was the worst decision I made. It effected me long term. I never did such a thing again and it will always stay heavy on my heart.
Looking at my living children, I will always remember the child I didn't have.
Hopefully I can help others realize that it does bring a curse upon a women when they do such a thing. It does not matter if your young, poor, or just don't want the baby. There are other choices to make like adoption. My mother left out that choice for me and supported a evil sin.
We all do have a choice but it should never be to kill another human being so one can be free from the consequences or responsibilities of being a mom.

Women are not "people with uteruses." Every cell in a woman's body is female. My friend had a hysterectomy, and she felt she wasn't a woman anymore, which is understandable because it's a gigantic loss, but I reminded her that, with or without a uterus, she was still 100% woman, that every inch of her is a woman.
The labels that reduce people to their sexuality are so insulting. It is mind-boggling to me that people love their sexual perversion so much that they wear it as an identity. I am [sexual behavior turned into a noun]. And they impose the same kind of labels on everyone else. The problems is that these people’s definitions of “treating them well” differ from ours. We look at this and say Pastor Durbin treated him well, he was calm and polite. This guy goes home and thinks he’s been the victim of a hate crime because Durbin dared to disagree with him. The old rules of civility no longer reply because we inhabit different realities at this point. It’s basically the grown up version of my kid saying that “you hate me” when I tell him he can’t have ice cream before dinner.

I have to take breaks throughout this video. I don't understand how a person can literally talk nonstop and also claim that they are letting anyone else speak when that's not possible. Jeff is trying to have a discussion and this individual just absolutely refuses. At the same time he's demanding a discussion but just expects to do so while never shutting up. Jeff, you are amazing in your ability to stay patient, focused and unwavering in the gospel truth. I wouldnt be able to do it while someone is demanding and uncivil in forcing their twisted ideologies onto me.
As a Christian man I have such a hard time loving people like this even though we're commanded to love our neighbors. I try to love but then I see videos like this and see the man with the mask and the woman and hear their Godless arguments and it not only hurts my soul but makes me so mad. At 19 yo my 17 yo gf got pregnant. I was scared and did not know what to do but had to tell my Catholic parents who attended church just about every day. I asked my sister to help me tell them and when I did my dad said, "she needs to have an abortion". I started crying and ran out of the room. I do not know what my mother and sister told him but he came into my room and had a great conversation with me that they would support me whatever my choice. I never even thought of abortion n never would. She had the child, a little boy, and gave him up for adoption. That was the hardest decision I ever made and held onto the papers for months until their lawyer threatened me, which I found out later was illegal. If my dad wouldn't have started out with having an abortion I would have probably talked to them about it and may have raised him. Anyway, I met him right after his 18th birthday n what a good young man n s omuch like me. He is a civil engineer n owns his own company n has a beautiful wife n three children tow that are from him n one he married. God is great but I stayed away from Him for many years n did so much wrong to many people to myself. I am married now n ,I've with my beautiful wife in Philippines. God Bless

My favorite part about 90% of these street videos is the other side always wants to talk.
