Wit the success of Deadpool & Wolverine, I think it's time for R-rated superhero movies to have a renaissance, and an R-rated Hulk movie would've been amazing, incredible even. I grew up with the 2008 movie and it was the coolest thing ever for me 😭
Huge fan of the Ed Norton Hulk movie, so often I see it unreasonably ranked super low by most when doing MCU rankings, but it’s fantastic. I need to rewatch soon.
As much as I love Avengers Endgame I was not a fan of the direction they took with Hulk and that movie.
I wish we could go back to the The Incredible Hulk 2008 type of Hulk
Loved it in june 2008, and was sad it didnt get the respect it deserved, was almost taboo to say you loved it. Everyone was riding the marvel can do no wrong train, ruffalo hulk all the way. But i'm glad the past few years people have wised up and went back to this one.
I was the biggest hulk fan as a kid, and I just realized that now that I'm an adult, I don't really like him anymore, and in retrospect, it has 100% to do with the MCU

I was 6 in 2008, so when The Incredible Hulk movie came out I couldn’t believe how good it was. & before that I was watching the 2003 Hulk almost all the time pretty much grew up with hulk, I’ve been a fan of HULK since I was a baby, before I could talk. my parents would even say, I was literally a fan of hulk before I was even conscious, So you can only imagine my frustrations with what DISNEY Has done to Marvel & Hulk Specifically. I’m the first avengers I was upset that he wasn’t designed like he was in 2008, plus they changed Bruce Banners Actor, but being only 10yrs old in 2012 when avengers came out, I gave it a chance and wasn’t upset with the movie honestly. But something when Hulk Buster Beat Hulk in a fight by just punching him off guard was complete BS but me being only 13 I still didn’t over think it too much and was willing to let it slide even tho I knew from reading comics that none of this seemed accurate, Hulk was clearly Nerfed. & Thor Ragnorok ruined him even more with the Autotune voice hulk had and the fact that that whole story was supposed to be a HULK story (Planet Hulk) so why wasted it on a decent Thor movie. Now when The opening to Infinity war started off with Hulk getting manhandled by Thanos sent me. This was 2018, I was 16 at the time so I had some sense and had no more excuses for what they were doing to my Favorite character. I almost didn’t even wanna watch the movie anymore but I didn’t wanna come off biased just because my favorite once again wasn’t being portrayed right at all. Even captain America caught one of Thanos punches, iron man kept up, but hulk couldn’t?? Be serious💀. & as for Endgame, that was the last straw🤦♂️Then She Hulk Dug the Grave. let’s just pray they don’t bury him, if they haven’t already. It’s like they have no idea how powerful Hulk is.

The creator said, "that some heroes better work alone." Hulk is one of them. I don't like the modern Marvel put him as the gentle giant. They also only care about the Hulk and forget Bruce Banner. He needs separate R-rated movies.
Hey Rudy, love your channel and totally agree with your take! In She Hulk he got even more destroyed completely, Soy Hulk! I hate the MCU’s take on the character and honestly I rather see Eric Bana fight dogs again!
Is no one gonna talk about how The Captain America 4 movie is A Hulkless Hulk movie that stars Falcon as Captain America…. I don’t understand why are they using all those Hulk characters(Betty, General Ross, The Leader!) as main characters in a Captain America movie that doesn’t even feature the Hulk!
I recently rewatched Ang Lee and The Incredible Hulk back to back. It makes me hungry for the darker version of the Hulk in a new adaptation or a sequel to either Hulk or Incredible Hulk.
I agree. The 2008 Hulk was used the best. He was the beast we all wanted and loved. I did like the way they used him in the 1st and 2nd Avenger movies. Except in Altron when Tony Stark was battling him, Hulk would never had been pushed around like that. BUT I don`t know WTF they were thinking after that.
In my personal view, the MCU reached its peak with “The Incredible Hulk” and “Iron Man” in 2008. Since then, for various creative(such as this) and business reasons, it has been on a downward trajectory for me. I stopped watching MCU movies after “Infinity War”-I didn’t even bother with “Endgame.” It wasn’t out of rage or an active boycott; it was simply due to apathy.
Deadpool & Wolverine, while officially labeled as MCU movie, feels more like a FOX X-Men tribute movie to me. I feel apathy for MCU as well but DP&W gets a pass from me.
I couldn’t agree more. The character was set up so well in 2008 Hulk, then the MCU butchered it. This deep emotional character turned into a joke. I was 10 in 2008, so childhood smashed lol.
Hulk would AT LEAST force Thanos to use the power stone. AT THE FUCKING LEAST MARVEL!!!

my hulk are the non mcu movies and tv show Eric bana and Lou Ferrigno. definitively it's eric bana but my childhood hulk is Lou Ferrigno.
According to the showrunner of the tv series, he had nothing to do with those 3 tv movies and he hasn't seen them. As far as I know, Marvel does indeed have the production rights to make Hulk movies. What they don't have is the distribution rights. Every movie with Hulk in the title, gets to be distribute by Universal. And of course, Disney doesn't want that. The way the work around that is just using the character in other movies. Why can't Disney play well with others? And yeah, I agree with you. They ruined Hulk. At this point I don't want The Incredible Hulk 2. And Edward Norton is better than Mark Ruffalo in my opinion. I would've love to see the original cut of The Incredible Hulk.

Burce banner as a villain could be super cool, as long as he’s just misguided in his quest for a cure and realises his mistake in the end, then joins the team in the next movie. I’d love that
I bet Mark Ruffalo wanted more screen time and more lines while playing the Hulk. He probably didn't want A CGI creation getting more screentime than him.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves the Incredible Hulk, we really didn't appreciate Edward Norton until it was too late. But there's an open slate for Marvel's phase 6 after the Fantastic Four, and since Sony announces MCU Spider-Man 4 on their own accord, perhaps that slot date could be a potential World War Hulks film. I say that because we have Red Hulk, Abomination, Skarr, She Hulk and Professor Hulk all in one place, so all we need is a trigger setting for them to go off on each other. Then Professor Hulk could go back to being the Savage or unleash the World Breaker just in time for Avengers Doomsday and Secret Wars.

@GenEXReviews it's fine, I think eric bana does a good job and Sam elliot is a great general ross, but the style of the movie is not for everyone, personally I think it's watchable and at least the hulk gets bigger with rage (15ft at one point) and not taking selfies
I totally agree. The first time I watched the Hulk 2008 was when I was 6 years old and I loved it. It’s still one of my favorites and I hope that I can one day get a really solid grounded take on the character that truly captures the Jekkel and Hyde nature of the Hulk.
Rudy, maybe you can do a short vid where you pitch a new Hulk movie Idea(plot, tone and maybe casting?).
Up to and including Thor Ragnarok, I watched every MCU movie. Now post Endgame with that abomination that is Professor Hulk, I just dont care anymore about the MCU. And I feel like Hulk died at the beginning of Infinity War. I watched Marvels simply because Brie Larson looks quite heroic and superheo like in that suit, and quite fetching - again a missed opportunity by Marvel Studios. I just hope Gunn's Superman is a success and forces the MCU to rethink their strategy.

I love Hulk's character and. acknowledge how powerful he is. Unfortunately, even in the comics, Thanos defeats the Hulk with even greater ease than he did in infinity war( at base strength). So Hulk didn't do too bad in infinity war lol
the incredible hulk needs a better script I want Bruce banner to work at a military at the gamma bomb and Bruce banner had to save a teenager named Rick Jones he is a sidekick and doc Samson who helps Bruce banner psychologic we need gray hulk and we need the leader and abomination and gargoyle and we need a practical effect animatronic

Incredible hulk is in my top 5 mcu movie and I despise what they did with the character I can't watch she hulk and any new project with him. Professor hulk kill it for me in endgame

I always really liked the 2008 movie especially how they designed the hulk. I could never get through the whole 2003 movie and I hate the ruffalo hulk.
FU Disney's Marvel for F***ing the Incredible Hulk franchise. I would've liked the dark stories for further Hulk movies (if there had been more), it shows that not all battles can be won in the MCU. She-Hulk is one of my favorite superheroines, and the Disney+ show was further dis-service to not just She-Hulk, but the Incredible Hulk franchise as well.
Hulk really needs to go back to his roots. Oh, and Hulk quit the Avengers after two issues, and all the recent movies, cartoons, and video games completely missed the point of that.
what i hate is disney marvel removed betty ross and trying to make black widow and hulk a thing. it's awful and i hate it bcuz it's not a thing in the source material. i also hated the recast that's what killed it for me.

To be honest that's is the best ending for hulk i mean as much we love the old hulk let's remind ourselves that he was unstable and dangerous and alone now he has again balance to his life
Yeah, but that's boring. The whole enjoyment is the struggle of the character. If the character isn't human then it becomes stale. Even incredible hulk TV had a personality struggle until the death of the incredible hulk.
hulk '08 is painfully average, i think ppl are tying to say it's good now bcuz of the nerfs and changes disney made to the character to the current one.

They did make him smart in the comics at a few different points over the years. It isn't something unheard of. He has been mobster Joe Fixit, Professor Hulk, Doc Green and in a potential future, The Maestro.

Ang Lee did the Hulk right! Marvel was horrible! Marvel did him so bad especially with the last Avengers film, I don't even want to watch another Avengers film. That Mark Ruffalo Hulk was terrible! No angrier, stronger powers, no healing powers and he looked like he was only 5ft tall! lol!!
