I honestly consider looks as a prerequisite to my purchase 🤣 call me what you will , if it doesn't have a nice faceplate/asthetics its not on my wishlist. I enjoy the art of the shell, not just the sound. That being said, once i have sets im interested in I make my purchase based on the best sounding based on reviews and my preferred tuning/frequency. Kinera/Celest usually have great looking faceplates, although Penon IEM's have my favorite tuning
Finally a reviewer who makes a stand on the important things of audio. Things that will get you a number or two. Skip the cable and just use your imagination to give it that premium look. This makes me wish that a company would make an iem where you could have interchangeable face plates. On Wednesdays we wear pink
I think I saw one that did but who needs interchangeable faceplates with so many great IEMs and cables. I rarely listen to the same set more than 2 day in a rown. Unless it's new.
That faceplate is 🔥. Kinera and its sub brands (Celest, QoA) are the only ones to compel me to buy models that don't necessarily align with my normal tuning preferences (this one sounds pretty good in that dept. too, though). I don't need this one but that doesn't stop me from wanting it (I'll buy it at some point 😂). Thank you for another great review! 👍
I impulsively bought this 100% for the looks, and looking at the fact that it will be my 2nd ever IEM, it maybe wasn't the best pick. But i EQ'd the sound of the ones i use right now to the kinera celest wyvern, and i like the EQ sound more, so i guess its a W at the end of the day, will see when it arrives.
Kinera Celest did go pretty hard on the face plate. The cable is filled with abyss that's why it felt hollow. Don't overfeed Sunny! We need him to do reviews.
I can't have an ugly IEM 🙄 painted my ARTTI T10s and even paint the qdc connectors if the clear doesn't match the IEM and the extended connectors on some 2 pin cables. I bought the Wyvern PRO and the upgrade cable for looks and I EQ it for more bass. The Abyss is the Pro + bass. I'm torn on buying it, but it looks so good, it's heckling me😜 I love me some boom and warmth, so there's that.
I personally liked the Hola more for every day listening but both of these sets are not really my preference. Abyss has more fun and visceral bass though.
Who put the $300 faceplate on the $30 set? Johnson! you had one job.... I love my Celeste Gumiho, though one of my favorite tracks is too spicy. Thanks for the review and recommendation for it as a relaxing beater set. good idea.
lol, exactly what might be going on at a Celest/Kinera factory right now. Imagine a new $300 Kinera set releases with the plainest faceplate ever seen.
Kiwi ears Cadenza, EPZ Q1 Pro, Kinera Celest Abyss or Blond Bl 03. I have used Truthear GATE which bas just a little bit big for my ears and its sound was also not enough for me. I want comfort , music and gaming. So which one should i go for or any other around 40 dollars.
I would not get the Abyss for gaming. They are sluggish and lack upper end energy. They would work for immersive content but not as well in competitive content.
If it's so sparse in accessories it means they have sold it very close to production cost, for any one of a number of good reasons. They have really cut costs. I think the driver is the same as in the QOA Gimlet. Which means all the money went to the driver and Chinese government subsidies paid for the shell. 😅 Your description is the exact opposite of the last one I listened to, which was 'tight controlled bass with a lot of texture, good mids, rolled off smooth but sufficient treble'
@@shusui9665 There is a Wyvern Black that comes with a mic option for a few dollars more. Not sure if it the same as the Abyss though. They look the same but could be tuned differently.

I would go with the Simgot EW200. It is very good for both music and fps gaming. If you could find the Truthear Zero (Blue) on sale that would be another good option. On Aliexpress you could also try KZ EDX Pro X or D-Fi. They go down to about $5 all the time. @Silva.concurseiro
I have the og wyvern and it looked great until it turned from white to a sickly yellow within a month. It’s too bad because I am also a looks based audiophile and can’t tolerate sickly yellow when it should be white.
Haha. Yea, especially since you have the original. Mine is still white. Maybe the case makes a difference? You're making me want to sell while it's still white. Lol. Its so pretty tho!
thinking you can just EQ anything well it's just stupid EQ can Only alter the frequency of iems so much but good look making cheap crappy iem sound as good as more expensive ones with more and better drivers and better build this is like expecting a $10 speaker to sound like $1000 one with EQ not gonna happen
@@ImAWSMDannyMy KZ EDX Pro X sounds just like the 64 Audio Trio, the line even told me so! I've never heard the trio but I like the stock EDX Pro X better to be honest.
judging something on how it looks and Not on how it performs or how practical and comfortable is when it comes to IEMs is just Stupid and actually one of the biggest problems ppl have now a days is that they first go for the looks but weather it's functional or practical or performs as it should Dosn't matter when it comes to anything that does some kind of a job looks are just a bonus and come dead last

Lol. I did the exact opposite with the Wyvern. This tuning is more my flavor. Can't listen to Wyvern without bumping up the bass.
Kinera Celest did go pretty hard on the face plate.

Any comparison or suggestions between this one and KZ zs10 pro x for gaming?

can you add a microphone to this iems ? before i buy the wyvern pro with mic i wanted to know if i can add a moc to this new ones?
Yea, if you mean in line mic. You just have to get a mic cable with the appropriate connector type and you can swap it out.
