Goes well with vacuuming I am SOLD! 😅 All joking aside, this is a beautiful and very affordable set. I'll take your advice and add them to my list! Great review.
The Wyvern Abyss was my one and only purchase for the Aliexpress mid year sales. I wasn't planning to buy anything this time around but I guess I'm a little like a bird and it's so shiny. 🌟 🤩 Anyway, when I saw I could get it for $17.08 with coins it was a done deal. Thank you for another great review! 👍
Nice review, thanks! I just got these yesterday and I wish I could say I was blown away, Can't! Nice set for $30 but they didn't have anything that special for me. They are beautiful!! Mine sound much warmer than I thought they would. Enjoy yours!
Okay. I am sure that more listening might lead to greater insight. I am keeping them in for the next couple of days before I get to the next set up for review. I guess coming from the Delci, which I think is excellent, I was expecting a noticeable drop off in quality. And it just wasn't there for me. I was immediately impressed. And perhaps I should have given them the full treatment, but I really felt like I had a good handle on what they were about. That said, I am not saying you are wrong. No way. In fact, I will listen more, with your take in mind, and see if my opinion changes at all. It probably won't, but I always appreciate a different viewpoint so thank you for giving me something to think about. It is important. If I am going to continue to learn and grow in this space, I need that. ☮
You'd probably prefer the og. EQ the bass down (something I'll never do, lol) and you'll feel the brightside. And omg, did I just say turn down the bass?!
@@BassDad8 I think it's just we hear a little differently. The Delci is fantastic, what a buy. I hear a bit more top-end and extension on the Delci and what great bass they have. I love the shell on the Wyvern more than the Delci. Keep the reviews coming!
Probably going to be my go to "mowing set" for the summer. I won't feel too bad if they fall out and I run over them. But I think I am going to stick with the cable. The BT20 Pro is not great...though for mowing, probably fine.
You sound way more excited about these than Delci 😮 FYI... These are literally og Wyvern + bass. Same chonky shell with different design. OG is also beautiful and got rave reviews. They did a great job with the light vs dark theme with the 2. I'll send them to you for a listen whenever I get around to reaching out lol.
Well, I think my level of excitement kind of matched the tuning of the sets. The Delci is very sweet and easy to like. The Wyvern is not polite, but very energetic. I guess you can kind of tell what style I prefer from that. And that is important. I know the Wyvern Abyss is going to be too spicy for some people. It is far from perfect, but I do love the value. It is a high-performance sports car that you may end up driving off a cliff... danger is always exciting to me. And a spicy, energetic iem is about as close as I am getting to real danger these days...LOL!
@@BassDad8 hahah, in IEM world, yes. I've watched every Delci review from my preferred reviewers, many saying it has special sauce but don't say what is so special vs other sets with similar tuning and similar reviews. Maybe they forgot since everything popular last couple years seemed so bass light. One reviewer pointed out that the sound is very similar to z300 which also has metal build and I'm pretty sure better cable for $35. DQ6S which suffered from driver gate, not only graphs the closest to Delci but the those who had the balls to review it honestly gave it reviews that sound just like the Delci reviews. Kz supposedly fixed the issue. They were really good. Returned cz of drama and my basshead heart fell in love with Rosefinch. Just reordered DQ6S w/piccolo for $9.99 each. I used to prefer warm/dark but the brain burn from this hobby is legit, lol. As long as the bass is good, now I can enjoy the brighter sets too. Can't be shouty though! Almost positive you'll really like V80, SGOR Adonis, CS2 and Orca. Do you have Castor Bass? I'm about to mod mine.
You know, that just shows that I have only been doing this for a year. I figured if I hadn't heard about the OG Wyvern by now, it probably wasn't that impressive. That was dumb. lol

@@BassDad8 now I gotta pull out all my basshead IEMs and play on repeat. Way to make me shamelessly waste the rest of my day critically listening to 80s booty bass🤣
The Zero :Red is the safer tuning between the two. As long as you’re cool with some extra energy in the ear gain to mid treble, I’d definitely take the Wyvern Abyss of the Red. It’s just a more dynamic listening experience.
I paid 18.49$ for them)) they ridiculously good for this price. and I dare to say Simgot EA500LM wasn't same good)) and that's first impressions, cos' I just received them and had no time for burning. but 8 kHz drills a lot for my wife's ears. I didn't think it's critical for me.
@BassDad8 - this is in the same price as Blon xHBB z300 and the TRN Conch .. All my research I still liked that timbre of BLON BL03. .. YOu know how this thing gets - I had started with the Waner SGs ... and reached the Truthear REDs when I came upon your review! The bit about 'setting the BAR' and 'Wiping the floor' you had me hooked - I had not heard about this brand up until then. (does not get hyped much in these parts) Do you have any additional inputs after further listening? This is will be my daily driver - the ONLY IEM I intend to own (yah .. I'm sure you have heard it before! ) My use case is Music/Movies/Calls in equal measure. I listen largely to Rock/Country/Pop/Soul/R&B/ and a whole lot of things in between - I kinda liked the QKZ's HBB's bass tight and strong. I found the SIMGOT EA200 extremely bright (tho transparent). I did not particularly like the Credenzas .. BL03 I thought still had unmatched musicality to my ears... So pls advice. . I intend to buy it as soon as I hear from you .!
Thanks for the Wyvern Abyss review! Much appreciated! We Kinera fans are celebrating! 😃👍🎶🎵
You know it. Perfect second (or third, or 18th) set. Mine are going to get a lot of time on the riding mower this summer. 😆
