I'm making a shirt purely to hassle (in a friendly way) a TSA officer tomorrow and knew you could do this but I'm really nervous about it sticking more to the shirt than the transfer tape!
You want it to stick more to the shirt than the transfer tape..so you can take the transfer tape off :)

Love this idea - How do you remove it once you don’t need it anymore? Can you just peel it off without it leaving any residue or marks on the shirt? Can you use the print and cut design in the same way?
Yes just peel it off. You could just use printable adhesive vinyl too, I guess.

What do you do with the adhesive after holiday is over ? Can you reuse it ?
Peel it off! I wouldn't try to save the vinyl, no. But it's better than wasting a full tshirt!
How aggressive could you be with an article of clothing with this technique? Do you think it could last through a day at Disney?
I've heard of people putting them through the wash and it lasting a few. I'd think it might be ok!

Hello, Thanks very nice, i was wondering if we dont wash the garment, can we still keep it as a souvernir ? or the vinyl will fall with time? asking thsi because i always do personalized shirts for my kids birthdays and like to keep them for them as souvenirs.
Yes you can keep them and the vinyl should be ok as long as it's not washed. I would also try to avoid folding on the vinyl area or it may lift off the shirt.
can you heat press permanent (not htv) onto fabric take it last longer?
I've heard this works too! I haven't tested the longevity of removable vs permanent though.

I have heat pressed faux leather, but I would test whatever material you're using in a small area first to see how it reacts to heat
how long would last? . I want to do t-shirts for my daughters quinces (15) we are going disney . just hers would be iron on . but for family can make it like this
I've seen people say it can last a few washes! I would test it before you go though :)

you dont need to heat this? You can wash the shirt after that and it wont fall off?
Hey there! This is a great method for temporary designs such as for holidays. I've read that some people wash them, but I haven't.
@@SilhouetteSchool becauss there are different type.of these vinyls. Heat transfer ones. Thats why I am asking about these self adhesive.

If you want it to be permanent, use HTV. Using adhesive vinyl is a temporary solution

It stays on temporarily as intended. Then you can remove it without damaging the shirt.

If the vinyl doesn't release easily when you are trying to weed, increase the force setting to 14.

Be careful with the dollar tree vinyl , looks pretty , not easy to work with and doesn’t last :(
If you do the bleach method like your shirt, can you wash it afterwards or will if fade?

I've heard that some people have had luck with it staying for a few washes. I wouldn't count on it though.

No you do not
So even though it’s permanent vinyl, it won’t last on a shirt if it’s not iron on?
Correct. Even though it is permanent vinyl, it is not creating a good enough seal on fabric to actually be permanent.
How do you keep the edges sharp on the bleached shirt? The bleach leaked under the vinyl on mine. Thanx for the info.
Make sure the vinyl is stuck down really well on your shirt
@@SilhouetteSchool I used a brayer with a piece of wood inside the shirt and used less bleach this time. It came out nice. Thanx for the help.

Hey there! I have heard of people flash pressing it on but I would be concerned about melting the adhesive.
@@SilhouetteSchool Heard that if you keep the iron moving, keep the process no more than 10 - 20 seconds and make you sure have a surface that can absorb the heat, then it should work.

It doesn't stay on in the wash - this is a VERY temporary solution where you don't want it to be permanent.
