Lol, been doing this since I was 17 (now 24), as well as screen-printing and direct-to-garment. Now I have my own garment customisation online business. I remember watching your videos yeaaaaaaaaaaars ago.
Any tips matey? I'm looking to start just on looking for a bundle but think I'm Gona buy separate tbh, what's the best kit I can go for on a budget? Cheers mate
Sir, thank you! I'm saving this video! I've been looking for a video just like this one as I'm a graphic design student looking to set my brand apart from the others! I appreciate this invaluable advice. No dawdling, no 15 min intro, no skipped steps! ALL TIPS! SUBSCRIBED!
To cut down on the numerous cuts per color, cut out the pieces of vinyl for the sizes you need then arrange them out on the cutting mat. Place your images accordingly on the digital mat for where the vinyl is located. Will save you a bunch of cutting time.
I have been using this process for a while. Also I cover the finished product with a piece of cotton shirt material to take away the sheen from the adhesive that sometimes shows from layering
Just wanted to say thank you for the ideas and inspiration! I have managed to a whole range of stuff for an animal welfare charity that I volunteer for, and it was this video was where it all started! I really appreciate your time and effort for doing this video!!
Siser sparkle is great too! It’s a flat glitter htv that is layerable so you can put it as the background of the design and add on top of it! Plus it’s sparkly! And who doesn’t like sparkles?✨
Vinyl shouldnt be stacked. The best way , which is also difficult, is to color separate. the vinyl should be directly applied to the cotton, or poly blend for best results. Stacking causes the vinyl to fall-off after a few washes. Color separation is difficult because the vinyl needs to be cut perfectly, and it takes patience to align every layer, so a layer gap isnt visible. Hope this information helps.
at frikin last!! a video i can watch and actually listen to!! thanks bro!! my autism cant handle people talking but you made it all so easy to understand
This was soooo helpful! For those of us with a regular home iron rather than an industry level heat press, what would you recommend the temperature to be at and for how long should the iron be held down for? Last, how thick is the layered vinyl? Love all the amazing suggestions. Really looking to up the shirt game after binging your channel!!!
Please please do some more layering videos like this ...Noone on TH-cam does fly layering like you.. I'll even buy the files if you can make them available.. Great Video 📹 👏

Great information. I personally prefer to keep the colors separate as a reminder as to what color material to cut. You can also send these out to be made into screen printed transfers for bulk orders which does save time and money.
What a cool video... I didn't know you could do that with vinyl... my friend just got a set up to print vinyl prints on shirts.. I'm going to have to show him this video... Thank you for sharing.
Hi from Aus. Just bought a Cameo 4. Though I think I messed up and got the really big one. The joys of online buying. This video is great. Screen printing so messy. Thank you so much.
Hey Gary, Amazing video my man! I’ve been working this process with customized kimonos for my local martial arts community. It works beautifully and looks top notch. Siser easyweed is the bomb for layering. I highly recommend it as well. Thank you for all knowledge you share. Very much appreciated. 😎✌️🙏🏼
Man, I just had to subscribe, bell, the whole shabang, cos you have such a fun vid with no bull. 'Keep 'er lit' as we say in Ireland, and keep them coming
You make layering look so simple, but I still have a total mental block when I have to do it. It must be flashbacks from my adhesive vinyl layering nightmare failures. 🤪 You make me wanna give it another shot! BTW, Siser is pronounced seezer. IDK why they couldn’t just spell it that way. I said it wrong forever. 😂😂😂
So much work for one shirt. Time is money. May work for arts and crafts, but never for a business. Either way nice technique, and a really great result.
Great video i have been using heat transfers vinyls from some years now only problem with your technique is that when u layer vinyl on vinyl it start to raise after ah while so for example the chocolate bar u did with the full back backing all colors on it will raise after a while if its not directly pressed to the t shirt den u will have that issue with vinyl on vinyl
Hello! Thank you for the video! This is awesome! I want to try this technique but before I start, I was wondering if there is a maximum of layers I can use for the same design? If I have 8 layers for example, is it to much?
I wanna make my own t-shirts cause I agree, there’s not really creativity in the t-shirts today. Approximately, how long does that vinyl last on the shirt? A year or 2 years?
No...the products that are in the description links will inform you that these are good for over 70 plus washes without fading, peeling or cracking. Great products!
Dope man thanks for this video! subscribed and will be watching more for sure. Just bought a KNK maxx air and will definitely be trying this technique out
Thank you for taking the time to make videos. You are appreciated. I was wondering where you get your tshirts. I really hate those thick, stiff tees, if you know what I'm talking about. Lol. That purple tee you have looks silky smooth and buttery soft tho! Is it 100% cotton or blended?

That Siser easyweed vinyl is MY FAVORITE!! I love how it seals the edges when you layer them, it’s just amazing!

Very nice...i wasnt sure if u cud do multilayer...glad u showed us
There is a slight "gloss" from the adhesive on each layer. that's the main tell that it's "htv". But no big deal - super clean ice cream cone!!
Blessings. This was dope! Thanks for the content.
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing. Love that ice cream cone design!
Vinyl layer on top of another vinyl, how do you get it to stay? Did itvfirva customer and it came off during wash so I never did it again.
This is so pro level! Thank you!
