    Thanks for explaining the vinyl. Could you make recommendations on the correct surfaces for each vinyl. I recently got a bundle with my new Maker & was disappointed that 95% of the vinyl included is ‘every day iron on’,
    & only one roll of premium vinyl🤔not quite sure what to use it on or how to use it?

      Hello! You'll want to use HTV for something like that. Here's where we get ours: www.143vinyl.com/12-inch-x-12-inch-siser-heat-transfer-vinyl-sheets/ . Also, here's a beginner video all about how to use HTV properly :) th-cam.com/video/Md-X0arZnqg/w-d-xo.html . I’m confused already and the video just started. I heard you say (and even turned on subtitles to see if I heard correctly) that the Holographic Vinyl is NOT removable and is NOT premium vinyl but that it is just regular vinyl. I thought non-removable was premium vinyl? I have been searching high and low for permanent holographic vinyl. My roll of Cricut brand holographic vinyl states that it IS “ideal for making removable decals, labels, window decor, media covers” and so on. I’m searching for holographic permanent vinyl for a window decal on a car. Is this stuff good for that or not? Does permanent holographic vinyl exist? I thought I knew what I had until you explained it. I greatly appreciate any helpful answers I receive. 😊

    • @MakersGonnaLearn
      @MakersGonnaLearn  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! The only Cricut brand tools we love are the Cricut TruControl Knife: amzn.to/3cMCmAG , Cricut Printable Vinyl: amzn.to/3bC84R7 , and their mats haha. We get other brands of vinyl, transfer tape, tools, replacement blades, you name it. We use our Cricut daily, but rarely purchase Cricut products as we feel their quality is lacking and the prices are too high.

I don't necessarily want to only use Iron on material on fabric...I like seeing the vinyl for the quick projects. But can we use the regular vinyl on mugs,glass etc. What's the CRICUT JOY SMART VINYL & IRON ON LONGEVITY?

    Thanks so much for the vinyl info. Just so I get this right. I am making a t-shirt template to lay on top of my artwork to make sure it’s straight and centered. I’m using the Dollar Tree clear/frosted cutting mat so I want this to be permanent. I want to cut the pattern with permanent black vinyl an stick on mat. I have Blackboard black and removable Mat Premium Vinyl, which should I use or order something else.

    • @MakersGonnaLearn
      @MakersGonnaLearn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! So, it's not much about the vinyl as it is about the texture of the cutting mat. With it being frosted and textured the vinyl will have issues sticking to the mat.

    Great video! I was wondering- which vinyl if any would work for making vinyl scenes to overlay on D&D mats
    to peel on and off.

    What would you recommend for car sticker, possibly put on car window? Removable Matte Premium?

    • @MakersGonnaLearn
      @MakersGonnaLearn  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any type of vinyl works well for car decals. As long as it's a good brand, any kind sticks amazingly to glass or your cars' paint, as long as you clean it first :)

    If I only have removable matte and I'm making a outdoor sign would it be better to use permanent? Or could I use the premium vinyl removable

    • @MakersGonnaLearn
      @MakersGonnaLearn  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question! We cannot tell a huge difference between the adhesive of the different types of vinyls. Our favorite is Oracal 651. If you're making an outdoor sign I always recommend sealing your finished project, no matter what type of vinyl you use. It will really help with longterm durability of the project :)

      You can ONLY use Heat Transfer Vinyl on fabrics :) Adhesive vinyl simply wont stick. Good question!

    What is the difference between premium vinyl and iron on vinyl because I need to make a shirt but they only have the color I need in premium vinyl

    • @MakersGonnaLearn
      @MakersGonnaLearn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! So, premium vinyl is adhesive vinyl and cannot be used on a shirt. Here is a link to our favorite Iron-On, they have SO MANY colors, you're sure to find one you love: www.143vinyl.com/12-inch-x-12-inch-siser-heat-transfer-vinyl-sheets/
