I met Tim backstage at the first Bonaroo. We were both watching Bucket of Bernie Brains, and I boldly leaned over to him and said "you can drum circles around this guy." He looked at me with a "young man" gaze, and said "that isn't what this is all about." I learned a lesson there, that music isn't about competition. It's about respecting the music and holding each other up. I was young and felt like a dope. Thanks for the kindness, Tim.
I get what you are saying ? Or not saying … i love Tim much more … but maybe that’s because of my experience rather than their talent /timeline. I just remember listening to a live bootleg in my borrowed mini metro car driving around country lanes in the uk trying to impress my girlfriend ….Tim smashed it .
Right! I can't believe that is how he chose to introduce Primus... What a fucking insult to the other people that create the Primus sound. no Les no Primus. No Tim no Primus. No Larry no Primus....
@DaveWossum That's rad! I slowed down going to shows after the "Plandemic" I'm looking forward to more Primus shows in the near future & officially see them 100 times! The best are their NYE shows in Bay Area.

Awesome video, thank you for sharing!! I LOVE the Jane's t-shirt! And I agree about the Primus shirt you got being super cool. You and I must be the same age, I saw Primus in concert multiple times in the early to mid 90s. Someone once hit Les with a shoe during a show and he stopped playing right in the middle of the song, I thought he was going to end the show. He said in "voice" as if it was part of the song (and I guess it was), "to youuu who threww the shoe... you sir, are an asshole!" And then boom, right back into the song like they hadn't missed a beat. One of my favorite live bands ever. I know I'm a couple months late to the party, but I see some folks got fired up in the comments about you not giving the other guys enough love, and I agree that they are super critical to the sound. As a guitarist, I have always believed Ler is super underrated, one of the most unique players I have ever heard. His approach to the guitar in the context of this band is brilliant. But hey, simmer down, young fellers! It wasn't an intentional slight, I'm sure. And if it was, I'm sure he's sorry. 🙂
My first concert was Primus at the Pavilion in Boston back in 2004 when I was 14. Went with my dad...was only them and they played for around 3ish hours. Incredible show...blows my mind how it's been 20 years. I need to catch em live again before they decide to hang it up.
I have heard better "My friend Fats" but that one kinda takes the cake for most psychedelic. I imagine even more so in person. Some of the new effects Les been using are face melting. The Mr Krinkle clowning was top notch as well. I get a weird tingle/panic from Seas of Cheese cus I was straight losing my mind one time, and I was coming back from the bathroom while they were playing it, and felt like the floor was swaying and everyone there had an evil grin and all looked the same, I couldn't find my crew.... idk it was enough to scar me in a good way 😂😂😂
Fats literally blew my mind listening live. Could not believe those sounds we're coming from a bass. If there's a better bassist on this planet I need to know their name.
Wow, unbelievable... Les is still awesome and Larry since Possessed! Drummer was great, too! Wish they wld have played Jerry was a racecar driver though... great gig!
First of all, killer setlist. I've seen Primus roughly 13 times and never saw anti-pop live! I did get the fortune to see welcome to this world though. But I'm really surprised they only played out and a half. Anyways, great video thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing mate. I've loved Primus for well over 30 years, I believe they've only been down here to NZ twice and I was too young to see them in 94. Caught them at Big Day Out in 2014. Would love to see them do a headline gig here again :(. Such an amazing band, the three of them are incredible.
I'm only 27 and from Australia so I missed alot of their live stuff from back in the day. But if they ever come over here again I'll be following them to each city
New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Eve Eve about to be blessed seeing these guys for the first time. Loved them since I was a teen, I’m 34 now and can’t wait. Bless up being able to afford tickets as an adult 😂
Just saw them in Charlotte. The first time for me, but certainly not the last time. What a show. As a bass player, to see LC up close and personal was simply astounding. Primus is a tight band, all super talented.
I beat you by a few months. My 1st time seeing Primus was August 1990 in Boston they were opening up for 24- 7 Spyz. Additionally this was a double bill with Coheed and Cambria so that is why it’s short typically will do two hour show or they have whenever it’s not a bill. And “An Evening With” you get 2 and half + hours There you have it! Last night was 87th time seeing PRIMUS!!!
Thanks for uploading! This was my forth or fifth primus show while my last one was front row Hollywood Sessanta! I was fifth row dead center at this show and I Think I’ve met you prior to the show starting at the food court! I was the Asian kid and I remember hearing someone talking about seeing them with the Pixies/Jane’s Addiction! It was nice seeing ya if it was you and I agree! The front row crowd sucked and it was super short but at least I stood up the entire show! Got one more stop at Oregon on my actual birthday so hoping it’ll make it up for it! Thanks for the high quality upload!
sweet set. thank you for sharing. ive seen les several times, but the best was when buckethead stepped out on stage. my friends was all huge fans of both glorious bastards! les said it was the first show where kids made a moshpit. it was also the first time i saw someone get their nipple ring ripped out. everyone in the pit just stopped singing and moshing and just looked down at that poor dude. never forget that show. super ripped kid with no shirt and giant nipple ring crying on the floor. wonder if he ever found the missing ring
These guys came to my hometown a couple weeks ago. It was so awesome. They're touring with Coheed and Cambria. It was an amazing show but Primus was an experience.
I saw them play at Fresno City College in the early nineties. Outdoor show,. When the pit got spinnin' all u could see was a swirling cloud of dust. It was great. "We're Primus & we suck". 👍
Bouta see Primus w/ Coheed and Cambria July 28th here in Omaha!!!! Gonna be fuckin sweet!!! 1st time I saw Primus lives was when they supported Slayer on Slayer's last tour 2018/2019ish.
Incredible. Instantly stopped and watched the whole show with noise canceling headphones. Great audio and visuals by taper. Ler kinda low in the mix for my taste but deep bass from les and lots of noises coming from the ginseng drummer. A+ setlist. A+ quality. I need this on a DVD disc and chopped into mp3s. Msg me
Show was awesome! I just wish they had more than one merch booth. The line was way too long and my disability prevents me from standing for too long. Hopefully they'll put the shirts on their website when the tours done.

I had to prove to him that it's the other way around as Frizzle Fry was out years before Korn put out their record.

Tim is a great drummer , but you should check some of Brain's other projects and drum solos. I'd say they are equal talents. .. Different styles.
@@scottarchibaldmusic that wasn't the point but thanks. Of course Brain is a beast 😁

No Ler, no Primus.
