Dear Gema, I want to thank you for every video you upload! Always with detailed explanations that anyone can understand, even if she's not a professional. Your caring really shows through, that we, your viewers, can enjoy products that can help us or make us more well-groomed and... beautiful. Your dedication deserves appreciation and recognition. Besides - your makeup in the current video is simply perfect! A TUTORIAL for it is really called for. Thank you again.
I started using the Milky Toner after you recommended it in a previous video. On my second bottle. I am over age 70 and can no longer tolerate the stronger exfoliate like Good Genes. Thank you for these other recommendations. Will try the copper product next.
Omg your skin gets better every time I see you! I love your videos, and your advice had given me clear skin, at 53 I've been told I look 40! So thank you! ❤
loved the video; new products to try. I can't wait to try the body lotion, lip balm & the Retinal. I'll definitely go slow with the last one. Thanks for your extensive information-I always know I can trust you.
I shop this sale every year. My first order went in this morning. I absolutely love the retinal 0.2% emulsion i haven't had any irritation and i can use it on my neck. I love the marine hyaluronics, copper peptides, hyaluronic acid 2% + B5, lactic acid 10%, soothing barrier serum, Glycolic acid but i only use it on my body especially my feet, the foaming cleanser. I had to order the Niod face mist, that is so good.
Love this video and your recommendations. You have sold me on the Milky Toner, I am going to give it a try as I have sensitive skin and had no idea what the different types of exfoliants actually do to the skin. I love the sound of this one 😘. I am also going to get the moisturizer with PhytoCeramides and possibly the Copper Peptide, if my budget can stretch to it.
I love the retinal and the ceramide moisturizer! Another Ordinary love of mine is the Amino Acids and B5. I understand you putting the retinal at number one. My skin hasn’t looked this good in years and I only use it twice a week. Great video!
Gemma, the multi-peptide with copper says not to use it with vitamin C or retinoids. I use vitamin C in the morning and the retinal in the evening. I use the multi-peptide + HA right now. You are singing the praises of the copper peptides, but when do you use it?
You can use Copper peptides in the morning (after you finish Vit C) and Retinal in the evening (with Soothing Barrier or Multi Peptides for example). Or, you can use Copper Peptides in the evenings alternatively with Retinal. Keep Vit C in the morning.
Thanks for this video, I love the ordinary products and will definitely be purchasing more.. what I struggle with it what you can or cannot mix products with and whether they should be used in the morning or evening... some advice would be much appreciated thanks Karen
I’m glad for the reminder about this sale-I’ve been waiting on it for months. I’ll try the Copper peptide this time. Why do you like the NIOD copper peptide formula better? Are there different ingredients or does it just feel more luxurious?
Hi Gemma, thank you for a great video! I’m not usually very interested in The Ordinary, because it seems just that, ordinary! 🤷🏻♀️ I like things that look nice and smell nice, even tho fragrance isn’t something my skin will tolerate any more and let’s face it, if the bottle is pretty or ugly, it’s not going to alter the way the product is going to react. So, that’s why I decided to watch all of this video, but you got me hooked straightaway to be honest! I actually have tried a few of the older ones, but not the ones that you have shown here. I must say, you should be an Ambassador for The Ordinary with this video! I know everything you said you meant, and that’s why I want to literally buy them all! You sold them all to me. 😂 thank you again for a brilliant video, take care. Xx
I'm very familiar with The Ordinary products but still enjoyed this video immensely, thank you! I also wanted to thank you for the neck exercises video, that was so timely for me as I've lost a bit of weight and my neck is looking scrawny! Love your eye make up in this video x
Thanks Gemma l have finally got around to putting in a new order today thanks to this video with some old favourites and new products. I trust your recommendations always. Love from Australia 🇦🇺
Have started to use the ordinary retinal cream ! Your no 1 product! How long before you notice a difference in your skin ? Thanks Gemma just love your eye make up your eyes are beautiful your best feature & your skin just perfection 🥰😘
Usually you can start noticing the effect of retinoid around a month after following the skin cycle. And then after that everything is beautiful, smoother texture, more resilient, brighter complexion, more even skin tone.
Thank you, Gemma. I love The Ordinary Products and you have introduced a couple new ones to me that I will be trying. Another wonderful video, Gemma. God bless you.
Have you tried any of the powdered foundations, like Laura Geller (I see lots of mixed reviews on social media, or Lancome's Dual Finish Foundation? I wore that a lot in the 80-90s and always got compliments on my skin. But I am now 76 and afraid it will settle in wrinkles. If put on with a damp sponge it goes on well and doesn't give a powdery finish. Any info in a video would be helpful.
@@PaperCouturebyLJ do you still smoke? The only reason I ask is that no skincare will improve your lines if you’re still smoking, so you’d be wasting your money. My mum uses Dermatica on her face and The Ordinary retinal on her neck x

Hi Lyn, I would remove the Multi-Peptide, Argireline, and Matrixyl and replace all three with the Copper Peptide + Multi Peptide serum. If you feel it necessary to keep your Aloe, then you can keep that in. Please make sure you're not using lactic acid every day as this is unnecessary and might aggravate and impair the skin barrier through over exfoliation. Instead I would use the Milky Toner which is much more gentle. Hope that helps x
Thank you so much for your reply. That really helps. Can l ask another question do I keep to the evening routine the same but exclude lactic acid 10% ??? Xx
Be careful that with back, neck or chest acne breakouts that it might actually be fungal acne (aka melassezia), in which case it needs a different approach than usual acne and only fungal acne safe products or it can spread or get worse
Hi Gemma I want to step down from Tretinoan for a while, I'm on the strongest from Dermatica for 3 years, I seam to be having a few sensativivity problems(suddenly developed) I think its time for a break. But it's a minefield and I'm not sure what is strongest but not as strong as Tret. Any advise appreciated from anyone x
I’d ask Dermatica to reduce the strength of your prescription. 0.1% was too strong for me, so I reduced the prescription to 0.05%. However if you’re determined to have a break, retinal is my recommendation. X
