I second that! Also, just what I needed. I wondered how the family mode is played compared to regular, but no one I watch regularly explained it. You got yourself a new subscriber.
looks nice and easier to play and put on the table than the "normal" (advanced) rules. Wich, for us, is nice as we like playing easy and relax. Quick question, are the oshax out of this familly mode ? Cheers
Hi Aorakis, this is certainly a simpler version to play which is great for a relaxing game! To answer your question, the Oshax aren't in the family mode - I hope this helps!
I'm sorry to hear that and would be more than happy to help. If you could fill in the replacement parts form linked below I'll get one sent out to you: thecityofkings.com/support/replacement-parts/
Ok....you're showing an Island that allows six players (paws)......where did you get that?....I have the "Late Arrivals" pack and it gives two more ships but no Six player Island.....what's a cat to do?
Hi there, the island board in this video is the standard one that is included with all copies of the game. If you have a different board I would be grateful if you could send a photo so I can investigate. thecityofkings.com/support/ Thank you!
@@CityofGamesHQ ok....I checked the original board (Island) for the Base Game....and it has 6 Paws (for 6 players) 😳😳.....??....how does a base game saying it plays 1-4 have paws for 6 players?
Just like having 4 paws wouldn't cause any problems for people playing with just 2 players, the extra paws don't impact the 1-4 player game in anyway. Having them there fits in visually and means anyone buying the Late Arrivals expansion doesn't need to buy an extra board (which would increase the cost) or throw away an old board (which is bad for the environment). @@karatevideosandmore7685
@@CityofGamesHQ Thanks for your quick responses.....so storage.....we play 6 but not all the time will we be playing 6.....most likely 4 players....so once I put the extra cats and treasure for six players in the bag am I going to have to take them out when playing the 4 player game?
It's my pleasure@@karatevideosandmore7685 - You wont need to remove the extra tiles. When playing with less than 5, you will need to remove the Late Arrival cards, but all the tiles can be kept in the bag.
Hi, I have a question; there’s a card that says “2 points for every XXXXX or XXXXX cat on your boat whichever you have fewer of” If f.e i have 10 blue cats and i don't have any green cats (and XXX stand for blue and gree accordingly) do i get 0 points or 20 points?. Sure 0 is fewer than 10 but can 0 X cats be considered to be on your boat? Strictly speaking if you have 0 cats of X colour, the colour you don't have is not on your boat. It seems in that case if have 0 X colour cats that colour should not be considered when the card specifically says ON YOUR BOAT.
A really excellent presentation! Thank you.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!

It did not address how the treasure is used in the family version vs. standard.

Thank you very much, I hope you all enjoy the game!

It's my pleasure, thanks for watching!

Can the first tile placed be on a treasure map?
Hi Josh, the first tile can be placed on a treasure map!
@@CityofGamesHQ haha ya we figured it out. Thank you for the reply. 👍 had fun playing it.

Hi @Fzgig, in this instance you would get 0 points.
