So far, only the family version with "non-gamers" and everyone loved it. :) Super happy. I can't wait to try the normal version and solo mode. Thank you for the video. Really nice.
So just to be clear, putting unrescued cats "back in the box" in the "Empty the Fields" phase means they go out of play for the rest of the game; they don't go back into the bag?
I have watched dozens if not a hundred how to play and play through videos and found this to be one of the most concise and clear. Very well done and nice to see there wasn't half a dozen errors. I always find that frustrating on some of the other popular channels. Now off to play my first game of Isle of Cats with my family. Thank you.
I’m really glad I found your channel! I like your tutorial videos as well as your play throughs! They’re very thorough and do a really great job of giving you a feel of how the game actually plays! I’m excited to see how this channel grows! My only complaint is the close up shots, the video quality dips. It gets a bit blurry. But thats a minor issue! Keep the videos coming!
Just got this game yesterday after seeing it in a game store. Thanks for this video as sometimes I struggle with written instructions plus it helps with gameplay alot. Can't wait to play soon!
Watched this again before I did the solo and as a companion when I was doing the solo version. Super Helpful. I love your play though! Thanks for making them!
Ohh finally you made it crystal clear of the game, especially the use of the baskets! After watching 4 videos. BTW, is it buying or rescuing cat? I'd rather rescuing though...
Just played this last night with 4 players. Went well, but the beginning of the game (just like all new games) had a learning curve. The various colored cards aren’t really explained very well in the rules. I wish the phases on the boat board were color coded to match the cards that can be played during that phase… that wasn’t clear in the beginning. Also, the various groups of cards were a bit confusing to sort out… like which groups we use in the deck and which are not shuffled in but put back in the box. Box could have used an insert to organize all these sub-packets of cards. Also, the rare treasures look too similar to the common treasures. And small and common treasures can be the same thing but also can be different… that’s kind of confusing to new players. Rooms on boat are slightly hard to distinguish, but not super bad. Our group had problems with the card drafting and we had to redo the deal 3 or 4 times… some players were combing cards they kept from one part of the draft with cards newly handed to them during the draft/explore phase. This wasn’t clear in the rules and we had to redo this several times… everyone at the table was frustrated by that. Overall, pretty good game but it has its rough spots for new learners. I like it now that I understand it though. I’ll be able to teach it well going forward. I still don’t know what the Oshax cat figure is used for in the game. Oh well.
What do you do with all the cats that aren’t taken during the day? Do they return back to the original pile or can not be used for the rest of the game?
Nice vid, but you needed to explain how to purchase cats with fish 3/5 during phase 4 better. You grabbed cats, explained baskets, but left fish untouched.
Have you played Isle of Cats?

@@jenwashi921 Thanks for checking it out! I'm really glad they included a family version. People seem to really enjoy it

Love the simple and straightforward description. Thank you.
Ordered the game after watching your video. Before you play continues to be our favorite TH-cam channel.
Great tutorial! I watched a few other videos earlier and found myself more confused than when I first started. I’m glad I stumbled on yours! Thanks!

Great tutorial thank you! Did you miss that you move Captain Vesh after each round? And do you spend your fish on the cats?

You forgot to mention paying the fish to lure a cat into a basket when rescuing them. Other than that, a great video. Thank you for making it.

Great teach, you two!
Nice! Now I can skip the instructions and jump right in!

Yup, the correction is in the Klingon subtitles.
