  • 1 ¼ cups walnuts
    ½ cup maple syrup
    ½ cup Karo syrup
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    Pinch of kosher salt
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Place the walnuts on a baking sheet and roast for 5-6 minutes. Set aside.
In a medium saucepan; add the syrups, vanilla and salt. Bring to a boil. Coarsely chop the roasted walnuts and then add to the syrup mixture and let steep for about a minute to infuse the flavors.
Allow to cool then place into an airtight jar and refrigerate. You can keep it in the refrigerator for up to a month.
Ron and I enjoy walnut wet nuts on our ice cream. When I could not find them in the store, I decided to make them homemade. Wow, how easy and so delicious. I hope you would consider making it for your family.
    Blessings,
    Terri

I love those on ice cream too! Must run in the family. I’m sure your recipe is better than bought.
