Released in late 1985, it hit the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts in March 1986, where it was #1 for two weeks. the best part is knowing that the original songs didn't have auto tune, so even the studio version and the live version are their natural voices. Also I think he had slight laryngitis at this concert, but he still went on.

I like 70's music too.It was the time of experimenting (Sex, drugs and Rock & Roll) at the USA.I can not tell much about how the life style used to be because I was living in Mexico City. I lived in LA during late 80's so I listened to 80's music closer and enjoyed it the most. My American dudes used to tell me about their own experince with all that stuff (70's hippie movement). They even believed I went to Woodstock concert. It was impossible!! I was 6 years old and living abroad.

Miss MTV and great performances like this. We should have a new channel or they should have MTV again. I think it would be popular even if they only showed repeats of great concerts like this. God I miss watching acts like this on TOTP and MTV.

For years, and no I'm not Weird Al,
but I always thought he sang the chorus with, "Gimme A Laser,..."
instead of "kyrie eleison"-which translated means "Lord, Have Mercy"
