WOW! That's so awesome - Congratulations. Thanks for coming back and letting me know, I'm glad I helped you out. Are you addicted to sending in more now? lol that's what happened to me!
PSA COLLECTOR oh most definitely lol. I already have a small stack of cards set aside that I want to get graded. Going to do a bulk order next. I’ll probably send in 25 cards and see how it goes.
Mr house 38 I recommend doing around 10 in a bulk at a time. The more you send the more sloppy the grader might get with grading just to get the bigger quantity done
B mac Yep, you have to print the online submission form and send that in with your cards. This lets PSA know what your submission number is when they receive it. They also have the info logged into their system to match it with.
Thanks a lot for the insight man. I used to collect a lot of baseball and football as a kid and I’m jumping back into the hobby. I never got cards graded before and most of the PSA website was pretty easy to understand, but you provided a lot of insight on some of the details I would have been lost on. Is it possible to walk in to any of these grading services to skip postage/insurance etc and maybe get a better deal? I’ve never used one so would be interested in having my whole collection done and flying to the US from the U.K. to have it done.
Thank you so much for this I just got back into the hobby of collecting baseball and basketball cards and I have never had a card graded. Everything seemed so over my head thank for this tutorial!
Great info. I just found my collection of 1990-1994 basketball , hockey, and baseball cards. All stored in cases and not touched in 20 years. Shaq , Jordan,, griffey, lindros all must be psa 9s or 10s
I think PSA should make it easier and cheaper for card submissions. They should have actual store fronts in each state for collectors to take cards into, and they should reduce the cost of of each submission. I have well over probably 2000 cards I'd like to have graded but not the way PSA does it. To me your killing your profit 📈 by paying for the grading, shipping, insurance and etc. It'd be great if you have the money to initially invest to buy the card, but than you have to pay up to maybe 10x or more to have it graded
It’s what holds me back also. I spoke to a dealer the other day and he said no joke 4 months is turnaround time. Covid even fucked up card grading. Smh
Hey PSA Collector, Im curious if the cost of getting a card graded has gone up because of Covid? I see regular for you is $20 but for me as of right now, it is $50.. Is that because I don't have any membership or is it because of Covid? I would love a response back because im very curious about this situation. Thank you and great video, excited to send my cards in to get graded
Im about to submit my first cards, and I noticed after messing around with the site that its based on the "insurance" level. If you picked the maximum insurance of $999, then all submissions will be $50. If you want the $20 option, then you need to select a max insurance of $499.
@@awesomecse3444 Yes you can, it would be a max of $499 per card. However they currently arent accepting that level because they cant keep up with the amount of people sending cards in.
Thank you, I'm shipping 5 cards within the next day or so, this was really informative. My main concern is whether i should ship them individually(more expensive), or if i can save money by shipping them together. I noticed someone else commented about packing the smaller boxes in the larger one as a way to save. Do you recommend this? Would i be better off just shipping separate and paying more? Sorry to ask so much, i just have a pretty expensive haul to ship, and i don't wanna risk it. Thanks again.

So, basically Ebay is usually the go to service for estimated values of any cards. Search through ebay for your card and see the estimated value it is worth at a PSA graded level by PSA 10. Then say a PSA 10 card of your choice is worth around maximum $300 then you'd use the regular option which allows you to submit a card that will come out and only sell for $499 or less.

This was very helpful, thank you! I have a pretty nice collection of cards and thinking of sending them to get graded always scared me.. But I have a 1969/70 Topps Wilt Chamberlain amongst a bunch of other “Tall Boys” in really good condition for their age and I think I’m going to give it a shot🙏🏽🤜🏽🤛
There are a lot of TH-camrs who do bulk submissions and get a return but their cards cost a lot more than 100 dollars after graded per card often so as you said in the video they do it so if something happens they will max pay you 99 dollar per card
Yep, or if PSA determined the card to be more valuable than $100 then they will contact them and have them pay more to cover the insurance. I doubt that this happens very often though,
I have a Luka rookie prizm I want graded, they’re going for like 4-5k on eBay. So I would need to choose the super express and the turn around time is 2 days?
Holy hell. I started collecting back in the early 80's and stopped sometime in the 90's. Used to just use Beckett to value cards. I've recently decided to try and sell my collection and this is looking like I could spend well over $1,000 just to get my damn cards graded, what a hassle! But Beckett says my Jerry Rice RC is worth $50 without being graded or potentially $5,000 with a top grade!?!?!? That sounds like collusion to force people to pay for this grading service, I'm pissed.
@@njdevils9236 I mean I get it, it's just annoying that it's become a requirement. As a kid in the 80's & 90's you bought cards in person and used your EYES to judge the grade of the card. There was no need to have a 3rd party tell you what you were seeing. But with the internet being our new marketplace, I can understand that people would rip people off selling garbage and saying it's actually gem-mint. But what's to keep a person from making a fake PSA 10 sticker? I'm just annoyed that I have probably $5,000 worth of cards IF they were graded but otherwise would be lucky to get $700 for em all.
steven wood I thought that too, for a long time. Also I was just to lazy to do all that stuff. But it can be worth the money, especially if you get 9s or 10s. So a raw $50 card can be worth ten times more as a PSA 10 (just an example, of course it depends on the card)
the declared value is just for insurance or the max you can be paid out for loss they should not care what you insure them for its your loss not theirs if under insured. im sure you agree not to hold them responsible for loses over insured amount as a condition of using their service when you submit form
I just ordered brand new card saver 1 holders from Amazon. Using brand new card savers, I did not think I needed penny sleeves. What is your recommendation? I have a couple hundred baseball cards from 1971 to 1974. But, if I did want to use penny sleeves, who is a good vendor to place an order?
You do not need to use penny sleeves. It’s optional. I use them because I’m afraid I’ll knick a corner or damage the card somehow. I feel the penny sleeve helps reduce damage when doing big orders but it is totally optional

I'm hoping that I can use your knowledge to further myself in this hobby. Collected since a kid. But I'm now getting more serious. My wife said that this is useless and there is no value. So I'm guessing cards to be able to raise value. I'm hoping to do an auction. Pricing my wife would be a win for not only myself but many other collectors facing this same battle. Thank you m
Hey boss great information here! One question for you, if your card does not auto-populate on the search bard does that mean it cannot be graded? Still a new to collector world and want to get our first submission going soon! Thanks in advance and for all the great info on your channel!!
I had a question about shipping. I have my most valuable cards sleeved and inside top loaders (so not quite the same plastic sleeves you used in the video). One of my biggest worries is how careful PSA will be when removing the cards from their protective casing in order to grade them. Do I need to adjust how I have them cased? Sleeving them then top loading them has always been my preference to avoid as much damage as possible to the card prior to grading.
Is there anyway I can become a member and use my membership at the convention in New Jersey this July and get my cards back when I leave? Im really not trying to send any of my cards anywhere.
Eh, you'll have to check with PSA at the show on that one. I have never submitted in person so I wouldn't know. I always thought they gave them back same day at shows but I could be wrong.

What does the turn around time mean? Is that how long it takes to get back to you
You also have to label order info on each card if sending multiple cards
Yep, make sure to label!
I want to get my mahomes rookie card graded. I hope its a 10
Nice! Good luck on the grade 👍
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR i got it back and it was a 10!! Time to sell it on ebay for $1,100
@@johnwesleyhuss2327 Nice! Congrats!
Please show how you sleeve the card properly. I'm using penny sleeves and card saver II
DO not use Card Saver II for standard size cards. Use the Card Saver I's. They are much bigger and wont damage the cards.
Dam!!! that looks like a lot of work.
I'm still waiting on the day that psa moves to europe, would make it way easier and cheaper to submit cards
Thank you so much!! This was a huge help..much appreciated..the first submission can be a little intimidating.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad this video helped you out 👍
Damn good job, sir.
Thank you, sir! 🙏🏻
Did they change the paperwork to only two pages now?
Way over priced just to grade cards xD I will keep my cards ungraded for free
steven wood I thought that too, for a long time. Also I was just to lazy to do all that stuff. But it can be worth the money, especially if you get 9s or 10s. So a raw $50 card can be worth ten times more as a PSA 10 (just an example, of course it depends on the card)
Your a super chill guy, but I just had a coffee & listening to you talk in slow-motion is giving me anxiety haha
Lol I have a new video up on how to submit. This video is old skool
Do you have to use the thin top loader that you put your card in? Also, did you put the card in a penny sleeve and then in the top loader?
Thank you for a very informative video. I had no idea how easy it is to submit to PSA. -
Super helpful, thank you so much. Just submitted my first card to PSA!
I saw one Jason Kidd Topps Finest that has chipping at the back of the card but was graded PSA10
Why on the service level part does it say 100.00 for me and 20.00 for you?
Same with me
the declared value is just for insurance or the max you can be paid out for loss they should not care what you insure them for its your loss not theirs if under insured. im sure you agree not to hold them responsible for loses over insured amount as a condition of using their service when you submit form
PSA COLLECTOR What brand of penny sleeve do you use? Whom do you order them from?

PSA COLLECTOR I use the penny sleeves and then a top loader. Will PSA accept top loaders or does is the card saver 1 required?
Thank you for the videos!!!! I’m hopefully sending off my first order to PSA today. Your videos and advice on your site helped with all my confusion lol 😆
Is it good to get any card graded, or should I only do like rookie cards or cards that I think is worth some real money?
Very great knowledge. Thank you
Is there anyway I can become a member and use my membership at the convention in New Jersey this July and get my cards back when I leave? Im really not trying to send any of my cards anywhere.
Eh, you'll have to check with PSA at the show on that one. I have never submitted in person so I wouldn't know. I always thought they gave them back same day at shows but I could be wrong.
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR thanks for information. I have a "few" special cards like Brett Favre in game Falcon rookie card, both Bo Jacksona' rookie cards, pretty much anyone from 86 thru 95 and a few after this time period. I will let you know
You do a good job on your videos. I find them all useful. Thanks man.
Thanks for video helped lot sent my first card in psa forgot sign back hope they still process it
I’m ready to send in 200 basketball cards from my 87-88, 88-89, 89-90 fleer along with 75 Different Jordan’s from pre 92-93. So I can’t use the bulk? I wanna know the best way and the cheapest. I’m not gonna send in 200 cards at 20 a card. That’s nuts. Any suggestions?
Love your channel and all the videos man.. thanks
Thanks! 🙏🏼
Thanks for putting this together - super helpful for us newbies!
This was informative and very helpful. Thank you!!
Thank you so much for the video bro! This helped me with everything, I really couldn’t have done it with out you!!!
PSA says "DO NOT put labels/stickers on card savers". Also, there is a new step to tape a label the outside of the shipping box. UPDATE video?
I noticed you didn't fill out anything on the form at 11:40. Is that because you were just demonstrating, or is it unnecessary?
I do have also lots of baseball cards around 80's to 90's
Do you guys also give the value for the cards as well as grading?
Thanks for the vid , I got a few cards I think hold value and I'm looking to get them graded
Thanks this helps. I still can't log into the site yet.
Hey matt huge fan of all of your videos.. just wanted to ask if the process would be the same for thick cards
Beckett is insane now. PSA is the way to go!
Came back to this video a few times now. Thanks man
Brother...just asking if you ever send your cards and take the insurance option included with the ship out. $5000 max insurance runs about $71 from USPS. Was shipping out about $7000 of declared value of lebron and MJ cards. Not sure what to do. Please advise. Thank you in advance .
How about the weight thing? How do you know weight of package for you have to weigh it and put the weight of package when your submitting?
