Always assuming that Nissan know a thing or two about their suspension design and set up, I'm puzzled about the rear suspension placement of the spring - meaning the ''bulky' lower arm arrangement and the upper body location which supports the loads at the top of the spring. This aftermarket coil over requires the same body location designed to take the loads of the damper only but now is expected to also take spring loads. I trust that someone has done the math on this design change?
Nissan engineered the Z (350 and 370) with this same rear suspension design. What is interesting is that Nissan's high performance race Z's have suspension setups just like the aftermarket one I installed. Maybe its a more comfortable design? Maybe it was cheaper to do it that way? Maybe they designed it to be repaired easier? If you can find out that answer, I'd love to hear it.
