  • Hey, everyone!
Today we're checking out the Faust and Bridget - Type F from SGF Devices!
These are both solid all-button controllers that I think many others will enjoy.
A massive thanks to SGF Devices for providing me with this opportunity and to Andy for all of the back and forth emails!
I also like to thank Autumn for helping with video editing.
Enjoy the video, and we'll see you next time.

As a quake player I've been using pedal's as extra inputs for years I'm glad they're becoming a more accepted thing now

It's part of what I'm enjoying more and more about the all-button controller realm. People are starting to do a lot of interesting things as extensions to the typical functions of the controller. Thanks for stopping by!

Your Bridget looks amazing! Definitely adding Shinobi non Grata to my wishlist now that your controller piqued my curiosity

Awesome! It's a pretty cool 2d side-scroller where you have a basic attack and special moves that can be incredibly effective against bosses. The stage flow and designs are fantastic and it's a nice challenge. Thanks for checking this out!

Love the colour scheme of the Faust, do these come in different colours? An inverted version of it would be neat.
Thanks for the videos as always

Hey, Fran! It's always great hearing from you, even if it's just a short comment or question. I trust you're well. Yeah, you have 16 shell colours to choose from and 16 button colours as well. You can also choose a back print colour and option button colours as well, judging from what I see on their website.

I'm not a fan of leverless controllers but that Shinobi Non Grata art looks fantastic! Looking forward to see some more "levered" content soon! =)

Hey, Carl! Thanks for checking this out. I think all-button controllers are an acquired taste and there are various ways in which they can play a role - which will be different for each person. When it comes to fighting games, I don't see myself ever using an arcade stick to play them. For Shmups, some games will always demand a stick (sometimes a particular one) while others may feel fine on any kind of controller. Platformers like Liquid Kids or Shinobi Non Grata honestly feel fine on any controller type as well. As for more stick content, I did have material on the Seimitsu comparisons I mentioned a while ago, though my laptop got fried and so all of my files are now gone. At this point, stuff like that is still coming, but it'll be a while. I'm aiming to put together some arcade stick beginner resources in the very near future since there has been a considerable amount of people asking about that sort of thing.

Have you done a video on how these devices operate?

Operate as in the science behind how they work? I have not done that sort of video before.

@@Shmuptopia I mean more an explanation or review on how this kind of controller plays sorry.

No worries and thanks for the clarification! That's actually a great idea. I haven't done that either but I think it would perhaps help a bunch of people. Let me know if there's anything specific, so that I can see how I might arrange such a video or what all needs to be covered. It's easy to miss things when you're so used to something.@@JohnSmith-cq7lk
