When cranking over to build oil pressure for the first time be sure the spark plugs are removed. This way there is no compression load on the crank and can bearings.

Late 90’s vibe all over again brother. The original Frankenstein motor with 37cc more than the Gsr 💪. Waiting patiently for the dyno numbers 🙏 most importantly a healthy engine.
You’re not wrong! Lol not going to be doing too much to this. I just need to get through the next few events and through comp school then it will probably change.
I actually just bought a plug for it haha. Not really much planned for this setup. Just need to get through this year then the setup will probably change.
Hey brother nice work, I'm have a ? If u can help me out, had a 93 eg hatch swap Lsvtec and I had a vtec wiring harness and p72 ecu , the ecu can plugs in the harness but no vtec , what other wires harness I need to get it working
You shouldn’t need anything else if you have the right harness with VTEC wiring already in it. Is the ECU chipped? Is there enough oil in the engine? Is the wiring to the VTEC solenoid good? Is the VTEC solenoid itself good?
If you have the LS bottom end then you won’t have a spot for the knock sensor. Only the GSR had it. If you have a GSR harness then you’ll have the plug for it that you just won’t use. What ECU? Is it chipped?

Yessir! I goofed on that. Too quick to button her up 😢
Glad I came across this channel. Building my EK GSR/B16 Turbo build for time attack racing.
Thanks for being here!
That alignment tool hack came in clutch 😂😂😂
Clutch.. I see what you did there lol haha good to hear man!

It’s definitely a little low on power, but she works and that’s all that matters right now. It made 202/137 during the tune.
Bro good to hear it run again woowoooo 👍
❤️❤️❤️
ooo she its solid that's good numbers on compression
Yup! Very happy with it!
Great job getting to new engine sorted. What’s the plans for a CAI? That intake got to be hurting power.

*Thanks for the life hack* 👍
Yessirrr!!
Thanks for the life hack sir.
No problem!
I see you installed the stock breather box. Any plans on running a aftermarket oil catch can / breather?
I actually just bought a plug for it haha. Not really much planned for this setup. Just need to get through this year then the setup will probably change.
just know its going pull hard. I have same set up.
Whats the setup? I have a b18b1 and needs a refresh with a vtech head
@@joserascon6664 rn I got ctr pistons, wuth skunk 2 rods, dual vavle springs. Head has been ported etc
Nice! What numbers is your setup making?
@@bvspeed I just broke 700 miles, I say around 230, rn with the street tune 260 or 250, cause I can only run 93 rn but, once e85 is in car i say 300.

How many pounds is your flywheel? Because I have a project I don’t know which weight use , I have the same setup like you.
I forget exactly. It’s Exedy’s lightweight flywheel. I think around 10 lbs.
@@bvspeed thank you 🙏!! I have the same engine like you. I have the type R flywheel, is more heavy. I think, going a buy the same.
This is going to be wayyy more durable than the b20
That’s what I’m hoping for!

What about my block had no knock sensor, I research it but found no clues or answer

When building an LSV which head is better to use.. b16 or b18..
Either one works well! Depends on what your goals are!
Getting a integra myself so I’m definatly wondering the same idea be going more for most room for power as I want to turbo eventually
