Anakin Skywalker haven’t found a good B18C Type R engine yet, still kinda saving because I lost my job from all this stuff. So cars are just sitting, but I got the Hatchback so obtaining the car I thought would be the hard part, but getting the engine seems to be pretty hard. Life is just super jacked up right now with my wife and I getting laid off, so who know when I’ll get to swap it. I’ll report back here when I do though, I bought multiple books like the Hanes and factory Service Book, gunna buy a B Swap book, and then hopefully if I can when the opportunity arises, get a nice engine and trans with ECU. I just want to build it back to factory OEM spec and enjoy it.

Burning oil, coolant, etc . We finally decided on B swapping it , Since I just got my Liscense and learned / still learning how to drive stick. This will help alot on building it and putting it into my hatchback. 🙂👍🏽

The Native Cen_Cal d15b7 to d16y8 is very easy youll need a z6 dizzy you can use injectors and alternator from the b7 on the y8 and everything else is plug and play if I remember correctly

They are a little loose when they come in. We did a few swaps in town an they are good engines. Glad to see a hatch on here again. Just made my day.

But do you think it would be possible to put a D series motor from the civc into my crv so I could still keep them both driving (I get snow where I live so having a awd car would still be nice)
Idk if u know this but a ls obd2 engine harness plugs right up into the eg car harness so u can let the motor stay obd2 (dizzy,injectors,alternator) only thing is u gotta run a wire from the dizzy to the driver side tower for ur tach to work (wire is caped off)

Currently swapping my 93 del sol s d15b7 to a b18b1 just waiting on my mounts. This video was a huge help cuz the engine harness that came with my swap Is a hacked up obd2 harness everything on it is obd1 except injectors so I can use my d15 injectors and harness
Always got it going ... Only thing i noticed is you didnt mention the mid comp ... Theres actually 3 versions... And if needed the d series trans mount works
I used the obd2 alternator plug in my ef b20 swap. Saved me some funds and works gud plus my alternator plug was already missing and my b20b came with the obd2 plug lol so worked out really good

This video is gonna pay off big time for me. JDM B20B high compression motor on it's way to my garage to swap into my EG Hatch race car. The whole axle, half shaft, mounts, deal got my head spinning but this cleared some stuff up for me. Almost missed the post mount on the drivers side.

Be informed. New pressure plates have a coat of Cosmolene on them to protect them from rust until installed. Be sure to remove a the Cosmolene with break cleaner before installing the pressure plate.
Hell yea you'll love the b20 in a rex. I got a b20b in my 89 sedan and it's torquey its non vtec so I can't rev the shit out of it but don't need to bc it has good torque. It was a easy swap just had dpfi to mpfi swap it and use swap mounts and linkage I'm obd0 still but would like to go obd1 some day

Swap driver side mount bracket, injectors, alternator. I believe the b7 dizzy bolts up to the y8 if not you’ll need a obd2 to obd1 dizzy adapter
