- If you are lucky enough to have spent time in Fiji, you've interacted with people consistently labeled the "friendliest" and "happiest" on earth. The internet is full of bloggers who presumed that must be tourism hype... until they came and experienced it for themselves! Expats who have moved here, and of course Fijians themselves, are all well aware of this welcoming and inclusive spirit, and how infectious it can be. After all, who can't use more "happy" in their lives?
The same is true for Wrenn Edwards, our real estate sales and marketing coordinator. Wrenn has lived in Australia, Europe, and the USA, but it was the welcoming, treat-you-like-family culture that exists in Fiji which compelled her to make it her home.
She talks about that, and about living in Pacific Harbour (Fiji's adventure capital and home to Nanuku Resort Fiji) with true admiration and appreciation in our latest video.

@@Mac-lv7gp I heard that happens a lot in Suva. There was this one time where a Fijian guy was drunk and yelling out swear words in the village. I looked outside and saw an old man gave him a big punch and the bloke was knocked out but I have to say that was anl good experience the real Fijian experience which I liked.
This is a tourist ad to thrive tourism in the country..but whatever she said is absolutely true. We Fijians are very welcoming.
I'm looking to moving to Fiji, however I'm hearing a lot of negative on crime out there. How concerned should I be with this? I was looking to possibly move to a safe and laid back slower paced place to raise children and learn how to farm.

aswell as how beautiful it is.......my favorite part was meeting the locals..... they are the sweetest people ive ever met! like seriously they are so kind and they always put other people first instead of themselves .
I went to this resort by myself and tbh I hated staying there, I met more friends in the village. Played touch everyday except Sunday and learnt a lot about the culture. I asked my parents if I could stay in that village over night, was a very long debate but I got to stay there.
I've been to most places in the world but nothing beats being home in Fiji...It's peaceful, enjoyable n many more..Since it's a democratic nation,where many people came up with negative comments,we still love our Island of Paradise 😍😍😍..!!!

@Global Threat i beg the differ, iam a fijian living in germany. Christians are the majority in Germany. Germany is a proud country well capable of looking after their country, well equipt,battle ready, ready to fend off any invaders. Multi cultured, multi ethinic,multi religion as well, living peacefully side by side. They do have upside and downside, but nothing seriously what Germany can't handle. Clean country and modern, and lastly but not the least a rich and a beautiful country.

I just take the good side and prayer that God would help the nation develop more good then housing the bad esp Corruption. Well, if you get to Fiji and realize you don’t really enjoy the place, take the other free will offer called, YOU MAY LEAVE. Don’t ever assume that what you went through eps if it was bad, that is not what the country or nation represents. The steps of the righteous are ordered by God so, if you were in the wrong place at the wrong time, we are sorry for your loss. Just be wise in the choices you make. Vinaka!

In many countries the real culture doesn't really exist anymore because of the ever growing tourism. For the locals it is a good way to make money, but it takes away their real traditions!
If you travel to those countries try to mind such companies. You can better donate to helping organizations instead.

That is what the Government makes you think so the can live on the tax...it is all politics! when i visited fiji the one thing that stood out was the extreme difference between the rich and the poor walled compounds housing a few next to a shed housing a family, it is a very beautiful country and its indigenous populace is very friendly . my partner is half fijian and she wants us to retire out there living near her family.

I lived in Fiji till I was 18 years of age and then moved to England in 1977. My family lived in a place surrounded by fijian families and they were always friendly, helpful and polite and I enjoyed every single day of my life in Fiji. When I went back in 2008, the towns looked bit scary with more fijian young men looking rough and hanging around as if they ready to snatch women’s handbags so please keep the Indians there, they hard working people and they make Fiji look safe.

Then the tune of the whole human race will be at par with that of nature. Then the world will become the heaven itself.

This looks like a typical commercial to attract tourists. What about the political instability, the discrimination towards Indians who were born and have lived in Fiji for generations (and who are solely responsible for Fiji being more prosperous than other Melanesian nations), the poverty, the crime, etc... Don't be fooled by people who travel to a country and then only spend time in touristy places where people with money tend to hang out. That romantic notion of Oceania being a paradise is complete non-sense.
