An amazing collection, Rich!! ACDD is one of the most beautiful perfumes that I have ever smelled!!! Thanks for sharing and educating me with every video.
I have ACCD, LDDM, lonesome rider, les anees 25, noontide petals, rose de khandahar, and minis of the l’air suisses and 25 bis. One of my favorite houses. Glad to see someone else talk about lonesome rider, I love it.
Nice video, thanks for sharing. Andy Tauer is such a great perfume artist. Interestingly Lonesome Rider is one of my aboslute faviourites, almost signature worthy (if I would ever have a signature scent). To me that "chemical" leather smeel was scary at first but, together with that sweet undefined flower smell, now I can't get enough of it. And my husband thinks it smells good on me, which helped me overcome that first hesitation.
I have Rose de Khandahar, Epices, not my favorite, all of the flashes in roll-on form, got a deal on them from Tauer's website, plus a bunch of samples from the house from there too. Thank you for the upload.
There's only one Tauer stockist in the UK and they have monopoly rights on the brand, can't even get them from his website as he won't ship to the UK. sick! I thought Rose De Khandahar was a bit pretty for
Recommend it, maybe not a safe blind buy but certainly find a sample of it if possible. Close your eyes and think of John Wayne before you first breathe it in
I'm sure that's because he pushes the lids on too hard, his mechanical instincts kick in and he forces the lid to be flush and it suppresses the atomiser 🦾 That's my theory anyway 🤣
I guess one thing i agree with persolaise on is my favorite tauer and for me its lonestar memories. I like LDDM but if you made me pick one amber to wear i would go with amber sultan. I also love incense extreme and so happy to have that old school bottle... the collector in me is just giddy... Cheers Duck🦆🦆
That's right, you do have that vintage incense extreme. Have you compared it to the latest formula? Interesting to see if you thought there was much difference. Someone else in the comments just said they had an original tauer and it was much stronger than today's version 🤔 🐏🦆
@@RichMitch i have never smelled the modern version. The vintage version in that plain packaging is strong... lasts all day. Tough for an incense fragrance to do as that is always the balance with incense fragrances. Do they smell natural or do they last?? Andy struck the perfect mix of natural smelling and long lasting to me. I would love a comparison. I will have to send you some samples for these comparison videos!! Cheers 🐏🦆
Really nice Tauer collection. A lot of people shat on it but I really enjoyed my decant of L'Air Des Alpes Suisses. I have a decant of Les Années 25 Bis somewhere, I'll have to revisit it.
@@RichMitch L'air des Alpes for me is like a luxurious soap. If you tried Pure White Cologne from Creed it's in the same vein but greener and more airy. Not challenging at all but just really pleasant to wear.
Thanks! I've heard a few people say they don't like anything from the house. Daver did a video about how he felt like the only person in the world who didn't like LDDM lol. I really like Incense Rose, it's very different
I really need to get my nose on some of these. I did buy Rose Flash but didn’t really get along with it. Great video!! 👍🏼😀 oh and yeah, Brexit sucks!! 😥
Very insightful reviews. BTW I'd be sceptical about Brexit being the reason for non-availability. Tauer are a Swiss (EFTA/non EU) artisan house and Andy blogs about how the EU's tightening of VAT and import/export rules make it impossible for a small firm to ship into the EU. In Germany, less than an hour away in a car, this house is very hard to obtain too.
I was told by the company that sells them here in the UK that was why, also by another company which used to stock here. Quite a few have pulled out of the UK so far
Excellent stuff! Really liking Au Coeur! Will definitely get a bottle, crazily unbelievable performance. Have you tried la maroc pour elle? I Need to try that too.
Just tried a cheeky spray of the iquitos tonight mate, lovely stuff, never tried it before but it instantly reminded me of nag champa incense sticks (before they’re lit) even though there’s probably no incense in it 🤣
I love L'oudh (ino you don't 😬😂) and Lonestar memories (I prefer it to L'Air du desert Morocain). Tauer Incense rose is a love-hate for me. Undecided on it, too much aldehydes in it for me, I much prefer the drydown. If I can forget the first hour. I would be happy.
@@RichMitch 😂 You know what it may be. Styrax. L'oudh has quite a bit of styrax in it and with the leathery facets of some ouds (cheaper Boya or the Laotian Oud in L'oudh) can give off a rubbery note. It's one of those things that sticks out to people like Clove (eugenol) for example. Some people just can't stomach certain notes or find they are too noticeable and overpower everything. I actually haven't tried Lonesome rider. Shame it's discontinued, and he probably had to as he is a small independent brand if wasn't selling.
Yeah I understand. Definitely got vibes of vintage Fahrenheit... I'm thinking of doing a comparison on Fahrenheits through the ages, interesting video? L'oudh just smelled like a tyre to me 🤣
@@RichMitch The Farenheit video would be awesome. Couldn't think of a better person to do such a comparison tbh! Love Farenheit. Was my old man's signature scent brings back some memories. It's hard for me to say I have noticed a difference as I didn't take too much notice to reformulations etc back then. Back in the 90's I remember it being strong. You couldn't miss it and he was not one to overspray. I smelled it recently and still is recognisable (any violet leaf note makes me think of it tbh). Looking forward to more content. ;)
