    Best comparison of these two scents yet! I too am firmly on the LDDM side for its open, arid, and spicy nature. Hope to get a full bottle this year, but will settle for a Tauer sampler pack for now. All the best!

    The best comparison of these two scents on TH-cam! SUBSCRIBED. I couldn’t agree with you more-LDDM is my preference for its more open and expansive composition. That spicy, crackling, and dusty open is like nothing else I’ve tried before. I’m asking for a bottle for Christmas!

    Best comparison I’ve seen! I started with ACDD. A few months ago I was given LDM. I just bought a bottle and it’s on the way. Hoping to get several wears before it gets warmer. Both are great but I prefer LDM

    In every review of these fragrances the reviewer states how its 100% the scent and feeling of being in the Moroccan desert.. I would like to know how many have actually stood in the Moroccan desert, otherwise how would they know?

    • @salvadordeverdad1818
      @salvadordeverdad1818 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      its purely imagery. its the mental image of a time/place that a fragrance gives you. of course its very subjective.... but that was clearly the intention of the perfumer...to conjure images of the moroccan desert.

      I mean someone could create a perfume or food or something else that is evokes being in Antarctica and you don’t necessary have to have visited Antarctica to understand the experience they were shooting for. Most maybe not have been to Morocco but can imagine the desert and spice markets etc.
      Obviously they’re not saying Moroccan desert because it’s the first thing that blindly came to mind. They know the scent and the perfumers intention and seemingly agree that, based on whatever their experience is, the fragrance was successful in evoking what they believe a Moroccan desert spice market might smell like

    I decided on buying Au couceur because I heard it was stronger and much nicer. I have a 15ml decant of LDDM original . But for me the Au Couceur is better . But truth be told I need both. I actually like LDDM a little better. Au Couceur du Desert is more of a skin scent . Both are so beautiful. My goodness, the perfumer deserves ALL the recognition for these masterpiece perfumes.

    Agree with you, personally i prefer the LADDM, not only because of price, but the way the fragrance develop is more interesting then ACDD, the last one is like the drydown of ACDD and stays that way, begining to end, i'm interested in blending them together, haven't try it but curious. Btw, I will go get a bottle of LADDM soon :D

    Fantastic comparison. They are both great, but I think I still prefer LADDM. Something about the cumin note in L'air that I love and I don't seem to notice in Au coer, but I could be wrong. That being said they are both masterpieces. And that bottle design...exquisite imho.

    I'm wearing one on each arm and still can't decide which to buy. Air is sweeter, less dusty (as you said), more playful, younger. I lean towards more masculine scents but there's something incredibly special in the original that is missing in Au Coeur.

    I love the romantic idea of deserts; some make the cut for artists whereas some spots on the atlas remain of no interest or inspiration. For example, has anyone made a gorgeous niche scent that evokes the Australian outback? Well, if they have then spoiler alert for us all: it smells of your own sweat and complete terror. :D
