  • Today’s guided mindfulness meditation will invite you to rest your attention on the present moment and to put the worry aside from the uncertain and challenging times we face. While it might not be realistic to alter the components of our life situation or the potential stressors, you can take the time to pause, connect with the present moment, come home to yourself and be in peace.
    As your life situation changes around you, know that it is not your life. Your life is always changing and you don’t always have control of what happens. You do have control over your responses. Your life is this moment, this breath, this body. Notice your environment, your breath, your senses and adjust your responses for peace at this moment. Practice this now during meditation so that you can continue to experience peace in your day to day life.

    In each moment of your life your mind can either be aware of the open freedom of the present moment or identified manifestation.guide with the stream of thoughts and memories from the past that constantly condition us. In each moment these two possibilities emerge together, which is why in Tibetan Buddhism it is called, "Co-emergent Wisdom", because in every moment that emerges, you always have the possibility of remembering to not identify with your conditioning and, rather, through a small act of choice to exist in The Present. All meditation etc. would be a support for that basic practice. The reason being, as I heard one teacher put it, that's a place from where real enlightenment can take place.This understanding was first really packaged for the world by Buddhism, (although it is implied in the older Indian texts called the Upanishads). It was brought to America in the early Twentieth Century by the controversial, Sufi-influenced teacher, "George Gurdjieff" who first succinctly described the two possibilities as being either, "Awake or Asleep."When I first got interested in these ideas in 1977 trying to understand them--really understand them--was like panning for gold, an arduous task where every little helpful insight was marveled over and appreciated.That's why it's so great these ideas are going mainstream. I like Deepak Chopra and he's really written a good book that describes this basic but subtle truth using a lot of interesting examples and entertaining scoops of various scientific findings.I like it. I got it on Audible and really enjoyed it.

    Sarah Raymond. I am a recovering addict who has endured major trauma in my life and as a child.       I am also a recovering addict and listen to your meditations nightly. They help me sort my feeling and deal with life positively. I no longer escape emotions but allow them to be and move on. Thank you.

    Thanks. This is exactly what I needed at the moment. I am listening you meditation every morning for many months now, and always they helped me. Now in my village we all are not allowed to go out if not for necessitie, everything is closed. I feel guilty to go to walk even if I respect all the disposition. I suffer of bad moods very often, so that was my way to cope. Luckily they can't take your meditation away from me. 🙏Bless you

    i was experiencing a panic attack due to my throat feeling dry itchy and dry cough another 20 minute video of yours helped me be able to stop ‘shivering’ and this video helped my body to calm down completely my mind still needs more work but i feel way better and even my throat doesn’t itch/hurt as much. i most likely have covid tho.. thank you for uploading this video when you did . stay safe and friendly everyone (:

    This was lovely. I am wondering whether you might consider particular meditations for certain types of stress ehich need your dulcet tones and gentle reassuring voice, such as, for example, people working in care homes and hospitals, prople trying to live under Covid restrictions, people trying to move house, continuing to work with a scared and varied public response? I say this because it seems very real and present... Many thanksof course

    Hi Sarah, Thankyou for another beautiful meditation, i wanted to let u know that being an over thinker & finding it difficult to focus & meditate, i am so grateful for yr guided meditations which are so helpful, purposeful & appreciated i thankyou for this so much.🙏
    I have to work with a collegue of the opposite sex who is sneaky & has done wrong by me & up the boss (excuse the expression) i know its about him & i have tried, but can u please give me a positive perspective/compassion in this situation to help me change my perspective as it is affecting me & i am feeling resentment & really don't want to....
