It's very interesting how even back then, there was a major disparity between Primal and Megatron in terms of their alt-modes. I guess this was to make up for their predecessors being a semi truck and a regular sized pistol.
Honestly tho,i actually really liked the original designs of both primal and megatron,especially the headsculpts,and the original story wasn't that much great(i like it a little pit),it was just another milk of g1,but the beast wars story we are know today is kinda of a g1 sequel,i do hope for reissues for both bat primal&alligator megatron
Do you remember there was a whole episode of Beast Wars where they were trying to decide who was second in command of the Maximals? Eventually they decided it was Rhinox. Well the reason for that episode was the first year toy boxes had Polar Claw as second in command after Primal. Sadly he was one of the Maximals in stasis. So my question is: Was Polar Claw the Ultra Magnus of the orignal crew? BTW, we know from early McDonalds Beast Wars toys Cheetor was Prowl and Scorponok was Shockwave, so this isn't very far fetched.

Not sure if it's available online to view or not, but the Optimus Primal and Megatron 2-pack came with a mini comic which mentions Optimus Prime and the Autobots becoming the Maximals and G1 Megatron and his Deceptions becoming the Predictions and the comic sets up the Beast Wars story as Hasbro originally envisioned. It would've been nice if the comic was included in this video, but other than that it was a great video.
Optimus Primal is like a pokemon he starts off as Bat Primal but then he evolves into Optimus Primal who finally evolves into Transmetal Optimus Primal his Gigantamax form is Optimal Optimus and his Galar region form is Beast Machines Optimus Primal his shiny for Bat Primal is Nyx Optimus Primal is Universe Primal Transmetal is Apelinq and his Gigantamax form is Primal Prime

I wish they would do a limited series with this original storyline, kind of what they did with the original Star Wars treatment. Three or four issues of the beast wars in modern day with the characters with names from the original being the originals in new forms, Optimus and Megatron mainly but the few other characters from the first wave as well that might have in there. Nothing major, nothing that would last beyond four issues or so at most just to see how things could have been. And I always loved this Scorponok just for the fact that how many other times do you get to see a scorpion launch a poison bee at someone. Lol
I looked up the other 1996 Beast Wars figures, the first wave, and checked out their tech specs. Blackarachnia apparently shares Tarantulas' perverse feeding styles, but otherwise there aren't a whole lot of changes to Inferno or Tigatron, though old Tig only has a intelligence spec of 3. Oddly none of that year's non-show character tech specs had anything further about the Earth they were on, but Buzzsaw, who shares Waspinator's mold, was supposed to be Waspinator's combat partner.

So what I kinda get is something like Fallout meets Transformers. It's hundreds of years after humanity, or someone, blew the Earth to kingdom come with various factions now populating the planet, maybe some experimenting with dino DNA. The Transformers return doing their thing when Optimus figures out something about Earth possibly torn between defending the planet or destroying it, maybe tied to the Vox, Unicron-Earth, or maybe a version of Gaia seen in Shattered Glass? Honestly it sounds fascinating if its done well, not sure how dark or even light hearted it would be.
This is something I want to see a lot more of. A lot of people don't pay attention to these stats and they're really interesting to me but a lot of them are way off. I'd be interested in reviewing G1 and 3rd party figures.

That comic actually shows them on modern day Earth and the Mutant heads actually had some sort of purpose in the fiction that I can no remember but I like the show so much better scrapping the gimmick entirely except they did use the different heads to further differentiate Blackarachnia (Robot head) and Tarantulus (Mutant head) I also like how Kingdom has also taken advantage of the different heads of the original toys to do things like giving Waspinator (Mutant) and Buzzsaw (Robot) unique looks.

Pretty sure that beast wars did not take place in Africa as They found both the Ark and the Nemesis in the the series and both were located in what would become the USA. The comics specifically stated that the Ark crashed into mount St Hillary in what would become Portland, though the exact location of the Ark in the cartoon isn’t as cut and dry, but still definitely somewhere in the USA.

Ignoring every bit of evidence that says so to substantiate Rhinox’s fart location is a bit odd IMO. Sure there have always been inconsistencies in Transformers stories, but it has always held true that G1 took place in North America, and therefor so must Beast Wars. I watched the clip of Rhinoxs.., expulsion and I would be hard pressed to identify that particular land mass as anywhere. Looks like the artists just slapped the “explosion” on any ole chunk of land next to a river, as the Axilon was stuck above one.

Truth is there was no set location for the show to take place, I mean in one episode they literally ran from the mountainous desert region the Axalon crashed in to a polar region. You could do that within North America but it would take months, and then we have to explain why wild gorillas, rhinos, and cheetahs are there. Yes they found the Ark which puts them in the southwest USA, but they also set episodes in dense jungles that weren't far from the base, not to mention Megatron attacking a valley that humanity would evolve from, which modern science would indicate was likely in Africa. I say Africa in the video because it's the setting that explains the most episodes, including Low Road, but it's really whatever the writers needed for each episode.
i would love to see a full millennium falcon transformers that turns into a nice big figure the one from crossovers is cool but a different one would be great
Considering we'll be having ROTB most likely in modern times, the idea of the Preds fighting both Maximals and Humans would technically be back on the table. Not to mention the Autobots and Terrorcons plus maybe some Decepticons will be back in the picture as well. 4 groups facing off.
I love the design of the original toy gorilla optimus primal especially the box art but saying it's optimus prime is confusing lol because it's obviously his descendent primal but nonetheless it was a separate story line from the show
