Didn't expect to see a sequel to be honest,as a person who start searching in the beast wars lore, this obscure facts videos should get a full series and its accurate
I think a simple explanation for the Conehead Seekers ramming the Nemesis is Tigerhawks weather abilities causing confusion. Especially in G1, Thrust, Ramjet, and Dirge were shown as pretty dumb.
Ramjet is the dumb one (I mean, what would you expect with a name like his), Dirge is just the guy obsessed with death, and Thrust is pretty much the one who keeps the rest of the coneheads in check.
Despite some of the Tex Avery moments in Beast Wars, I loved how it served as a corollary to the G1 series. Beast Machines I liked, but I had some major issues with the changes. The story was compelling, but I didn't care for the character designs, or changes in character personalities.
The Cheetor "growing up" story didn't seem completely abandoned. The "Feral Scream" two parter really had puberty undertones. From Cheets being....ahem....horny for BA, to his TM2 form giving him essentially facial hair.
the cheator growing up thing is probably something they were trying to build off their old reboot character enzo who had 3 ages we saw him in, though the first 2 used mostly the same model.
Heard Tigerhawk was originally made for beast hunters (which was what beast machines was originally gonna be). He would have been an intermediary between Megatron and the Vok.
I was on TFWiki and Teletraan I: The Transformers wiki sites and found something really fascinating about Waspinator, over the course of the show Waspinator has been damaged or taken out 59 times. I actually went over every episode to check and did a count and by Character, he was either damaged or taken down by: Optimus Primal: 9 Cheetor: 9 Rhinox: 6 Dinobot: 6 Rattrap: 5 Tigertron: 4 Alien/Vok devices: 4 Blackarachnia: 3 Una the anthropoid: 3 Scorponok: 2 (friendly fire missile twice in Equal Measures) Airazor: 1 Tigerhawk: 1 Megatron: 1 Tarantulas: 1 Inferno: 1 Transmetal Raptor: 1 Dinobot II: 1 Inferno and Quickstrike: 1 Silverbolt is the only one of the Axalon crew who has never taken out Waspinator but he himself has been taken down 3 times by Waspinator.
Can’t help but feel the whole “Cheetor grows and ages” thing was sorta more subtlety done with his different forms (base -> Transmetal -> Transmetal II - > Sorta Beast Machines). It’s not 100% the same but I think this idea works a lot better imo.
Beast Machines was gonna be a lot different, and called "Beast Hunters". Megatron turned Cybertron into a technoorganic world....he was really impressed by the Vok's organic tech, remember? Cheetor, Primal and Black Arachnia were turned into techno organic servants. Rattrap, Rhinox and Silverbolt were given vehicle forms and were purely robotic. Tigerhawk was going to be a intermediary between Megatron and the Vok. The suits, however, said it was not PC, and had them change it into what we got instead, sadly. That's what I remember reading about in 2000. Not sure if it's correct ,but that's what I read, way back when.
They probably could have done the Airazor and Blackarachnia episode a different way. Have it so the two are in combat and an energon explosion traps them underground away from the rest of the cast. And they have to work together to escape. Could have also worked in insecticon into Scorponok by having him with a split personality. Both still loyal to Megatron. But one was smart and one was dumb.
That's because the stinger is a modified ovipositor, the organ where eggs come out, so only females have them. This is true for wasps, bees, and some ant species.
Some comic writer is definitely going to shove that proto Rattrap concept onto Packrat, or try to rewrite BM Rattrap into an execution of that idea if Beast Machines comics ever happen
Now I'm glad I didn't learn about ATT until after Beast Wars. I would not have wanted to be in that position when Transmutate aired. Also happy they didn't go with the Cheetor and Rattrap ideas.
TJ, I skimmed through the Beast Wars obscure facts. I don't see this story, so forgive me if I missed it somehow. There was a scene cut from the finally that had Pimal replace G1 Megatron's spark. It's probably well known though.
I always wondered why the Beast Wars transformers couldn't communicate with the animal species they scanned when the only communication on the planet was of the animal kingdom...yes, even in the 90's we knew animals communicate and presumably the reason transformers can speak to us is their ability to communicate with sentient beings...wouldn't part of being in disguise being able to communicate as 1 of the animals scanned?? I think it would've made the show even better...
Inferno and Waspinator could have been female characters and I would have been fine with that and great video I'm still waiting on the next Beast Wars episode review.
You're MOSTLY right. The non-reproductive eusocial insects are called workers (or soliders, or could have a number of different caste names). Male bees are the only ones that really get called "drones," though. All the other eusocial insect males are just called "kings," "males," or "winged males."
I can't find the transmutate April fool script anywhere. Both places you suggested had a link to the original don't work anymore and Google is of no help. Can anyone help me as I'm curious of what actually happened
I knew some of these... I certainly didn't know number one. Now if you'll excuse me, I will have r/eyebleach on standby while I sate my morbid curiosity.
If they had done that, the Transmetal version would’ve made a lot more sense. And rat trap may or may not have been my favorite character if they had went that route.
Hey, I was a kid and I bought both gigantic Ant toys! Okay Scavenger I only bought because nothing else I didn't have was on shelves for like six months, but still!
They never explain it in series why Tigatron or Airazor didn't become affected, something to do with being an Earth-born protoform. Rhinox himself was shielded by the CR Chamber, same for Waspinator on the Predacon ship.
@@TJOmega Thanks, TJ, that clears up things for me, and I've been enjoying you channel, for quite sometime, now, and keep up the good work, my good man.
Airazor seems to be unfortunately stuck in the transformers r/suddenlygay subreddit huh? In the netflix show they even had Blackarachnia give her a quick kiss when she saved her, which amused me because I like to think of a 4th wall breaking joke: "well you know, my boyfriend didn't make it into this show and I'm not hooking up with Cheetor..."
At least Tigerhawk didn't live to see the travesty that was Beast Machines. Ok, on its own merit Beast Machines was decent but as a sequel to Beast Wars it fell short.
Doing the script research for number 1 and came up with fake fanfic rewrite as the script isn't on the Usenet group if it's true where's the proof ??? I could be wrong on that though as I only just heard of this script today.
Um... that's actually backwards. Drones are always male, the winged versions are the females. Most of the Beast Wars characters are based on female body types but these two were actually the exception. Tarantulus is also technically female because male spiders don't have spinnerets to produce webs and since Tarantulus has that ability he must be female.
Kind of glad that bitch wars was never made because I think beast wars is above dumb concepts like "these 2 are females so therefore they should join together even though they actually hate each other's guts" and gender wars, though to be fair I really would have been interested to see how Japan would have handled that since they didn't make airazor female, that would have been funny.

It would’ve been interesting to see “B-word wars“ as its own parody episode in the future.

That makes me want to hear Scott McNeil do a female waspinator voice
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the drone ants and bees are the males while the workers are the females?
Correct, I was using the wrong terminology.

Not to be that guy, but "drone" ants ARE actually the male ones. The term you're looking for is worker ant, which are the all-female ones.
You should do a Transformers Iceberg video, if you haven't already.
Just the part with transmutate being violated, why, why was it even thought of?!

Sort of covered by the Airazor entry.
Maybe Inferno, Waspinator and Tigatron could be considered as transgender bots? We had IDW Arcee, Anode and Lug, so there's a precedent for it now.
insect drones (ants and bees) are male
Isn't the second version of Megaatron supposed to be Galvatron? Airrazor. There are two twins, one male one female. The other can be called Talonhawk.
