Very interesting. Knives don't go S tier for me unless I've carried and used them forming an attachment lol if I don't carry a knife it brings me absolutely zero joy. 🤷♂️😁
Metal Complex is going through an interesting arc in the latest installment to his manga. We see him reaching new levels of power, claiming absolute power, and changing the laws of mathematics themselves... 2+2=fish
I have the Puma Earl, the premier rabbit skinning knife. It doesn’t flick or anything you have to open it with two hands. It has brass ends and the handle is deer antler. I also have the Buck 110 which I purchased from a gun shop at enormous expense and I haven’t used it for anything. I sometimes sit in front of the TV and wave it about. I have ordered the WE Espit with the orange peel titanium handle.
MC, I don't know how much camping/picnic-ing/backpacking/etc. you do, but I've found the Opinel to be a superb cutting utensil with food. I agree that it's inferior in most every other aspect to modern folders, but for that singular purpose, it makes food prep and eating on the go a breeze.
"That's how powerful I am in this tiny rectangle" 😂 the knife reviews brought me here and the creativity and humor keep me coming back for more. And who said Kansans were dull (source: native Kansan)
Damn, a lot of those Civivi, QSP, CRJB type knives have become so identical that my brain doesn't even try to learn or remember what they are. I have never even heard of QSP or CRJB until these last few months!
That QSP Penguin Ti should have been an A, great knife, great action for the money… I think I would have swap places between the Penguin and the Grivory AD20.5, I love everything about Demko knives but that one just don’t have that premium feel or materials but cool ranking MC!!!
In my opinion. It may be an unpopular one. But if I were to rank things. My Kershaw leek (I've had it for 7 years, I can always make it scary sharp) and Benchmade mini barrage (3 years, very sturdy and easily sharpened too) would be s tier. My S45vn Spyderco paramilitary 3 would be B tier(Can still take an awesome edge but try fitting both your knife and your large cell phone in your pocket, and then you need to buy an mxg gear pocket clip because the original one sucks, the original pocket clip is always the deal breaker whenever I try to sell one at work).
I have two big shopping class. The first is tve Penguinicarta, the Pyrite warnclif allu. And the Beluga micarta, and the Kizer Mad tanto micarta. The second line is for the more expensive ones. Like the Kunwu X Padre, the Quiet carry Drift, the kizer Huntsman, and the Vosteed Psyop !! There it is. My two liste of knives to buy ..! ^^
Totally agree about the elementum.. mine was a Father’s Day gift from my wife so it has sentimental value ..but it’s basically not even in my rotation anymore..
Same thoughts here about the Elementum. I snagged one when they first dropped. Never really understood the hype. It’s not big enough to be a primary. And there are others that I like better as a secondary (mainly the QSP penguin because of the blade shape).
A question I hope you can answer regarding the micarta scales on your Spydie PM2 . I have the Lightweight version. Would those micarta scales fit my Lightweight?
Oops. Please disregard my previous question. It's the Para 3 lightweight that I have, not the PM2. But same idea though.... can I replace my lightweight scales w/micarta or G10?? Sorry about my momentary lapse of brain function.
No 0562ti? 🤣 I'd love to see you do a "What if?" video. What would move some of those C&D knives to S&A? My wet dream knife would be a RAT1 in 20cv with titanium liners & linen micarta scales.
Love this video! After watching this I tried to do the same ranking of my collection of 60 plus knives! Let me tell you it is not easy to do! I must have changed the rankings on many knives 10 times! I need a week to get this right! LOL
He sells some to make room for more. I would have thought the Flytanium Manix would have been a keeper, but maybe it was just upstairs or in a car or drawer.
Where do you think you wouldve placed yer old manix? Just curious cause your raving about it made me buy one and its currently my favorite and most carried knife i own.
I gotta be honest here, throughout most of the video I was like "Yeah, it's your opinion and you have every right to it. Everybody who cries about it should grow up!"... Until you put the Esprit on B tier... !!! ngl I was slightly pissed off, until I remembered my own words... great collection you have there
I would have put the Imperium in B-A for myself personally. My Rike 1902 is A tier for me, but I have it in Damasteel and was a dual buy with my brother as our first Damasteel knife.
Where was the mini griptillian? I personally dont like it but was surprised not to see it. Totally agree with some and dont with others but it was cool to see 2.5 rectangles of knives.
As I watch this video, I have entered an alternate universe. What is going on? What madness? This is a review of his emotional reaction to metal? Another great vid😅🔪
@@erich_w nah, I would not want to go there... But seriously. This is like a lefty saying that a right-handed knife cannot be S tier. Hi MC! Bit of a funny story for you here. I've been in the knife addiction for about four years, and for most of the time I just overlooked the Opinel and didn't pay much attention to it. Recently I decided to buy it because I wanted a good knife for traveling interstate in my country and just wanted a "people friendly" knife. I now share the same, passionate, deep-seated hatred for the Opinel as you do. I hate the ergos. I hate the fact you can't open it with short nails (which is why I took some files and carved out a huge opening notch in the handle). I don't like how the blade came dull as a butter knife, and the edges on the spine are sharp and unchamfered as heck. And oh my God, oh my God MC, the action is just horrendous. Why didn't they ever think of polishing down the internals a bit more? After putting Victorinox oil, trying out WD40 and mineral oil, the action is still GRITTY AS SAND. Just when I thought I can't possibly despise the knife even more, I discovered something else; when I sharpen it, it just gives out this really chilling, nail on chalkboard sound, and the way it vibrates while I'm sharpening it makes me cringe, sends shivers down my spine. When you took out the two Opinels I went Oh God it's that thing again, as I remembered my awful experience. Now it just sits in the drawer. Love your channel and content man, take care!
