- I love playing Digimon but boy does it make me feel insane. I ranted about this to my wife and thought, why not share the nonsense. Enjoy Tamers!

Sounds awfully close to what the victim of that Cyber Sleuth mission about dolls said...
Pokémon fans will never understand the joy of feeding, cleaning up and making sure their monster has adequate sleep like us Digimon fans.❤
There's something special about having to actually care for your monsters and not have them just fight club constantly without much consequence.
@@cryptdpumpkn I agree. It makes it more personable.
as a baby sitter for few years before for extra cash to spent as a teenager. all thing you list don't seem "joy" to me, more like war, hell even
@@atTran-du6rs I absolutely LOVE raising/taking care of animals. All the feeding, cleaning, and checking up on each one to make sure they're healthy is rewarding to me and I love them very much. However, having to act as a babysitter to human babies made me realize that the urge to kill is a very real thing. I refuse to babysit ever again. 😂
5:08 although this isn't necessarily false it is also not the whole answer. Since digimon was divided into 2 kinds of games in the past. The "world" series where you play an advanced tamagochi, and the "story" series which is a basic rpg with a level evolution system. Now it is mainly divided into 3, story games, world games and side projects (like survive). That being said, the grind in story games does not lose to the insanity required to complete a world game. So the title of this video is still accurate
Oh that's good to know! I've only played a handful of digimon titles across those splits so I appreciate you sharing that!
@@cryptdpumpkn yeah I recomend cybersleuth also get the complet editon you get hacker memory as well recommend hacker memory after you complet the normal game and those 2 take place in the same world as each other
Oh sweet so two for one! I'll definitely check that out!
@@cryptdpumpkn Just remember to play Cyber Sleuth BEFORE Hacker's Memory. Hacker's Memory's story expects you to already know everything that happens in Cyber Sleuth
@@bubalackgaming8892 Oh that's good to know! I bought the two pack the other day that comes with both so I'll have to remember that when I play!
The thing about training vs battling is, while you get less stats from fighting wild digimon, battling doesn’t spend time. Whereas training takes an hour out of your day each time. So it’s actually more cost effective to focus more on battling rather than training.
Oh that's good to know! I hadnt really considered the time aspect. I was under the impression the only thing battling helped with was raising specific stats after defeating certain digimon
@@cryptdpumpkn yea battles are the only way you are going to effectively hit high numbers course you need to know what to battle and when to get the most out of it all but you can easily find several guides to help out with that on youtube.
@cryptdpumpkn If i remember properly, if you manage to defeat a strong oponent relative to your own Stats, you can get up to 20 points in every stat, 24 if you get the appeopriate Tamer skill.
Also if you meet the requirements for 2 different Digimon the game tends to prioritize the more popular one. So if you do meet the requirements for either a Meramon or a Greymon you'd probably end up with a Greymon, but I get how not getting the mon you want cause you were short on 1 or 2 requirements can be a pain.
@@thekey0123if I remember correctly it prioritizes whichever is on top in the evolution tree which often is the more popular one but not always.
ngl I'm playing Cyber Sleuth and watching this video made me feel less insane cause it could be worse.
Oh yeah if you wanna loosen some brain bolts, try out Next Order haha
You still are gona need those high abi,s in order to get the cool mega mons tough
If you wanna feel insane but don't wanna deal with most dying, play Digimon World 2 :) there's a mechanic where stats get reduced a bit but you'll get better evos after that. Something else other than the gameplay will make you insane :)
You could try playing Cybersleuth and try to unlock all the digivolution lines, you will be just as insane as anyone who plays World 1/Next Order. I've tried it, it took me 3 months to complete Hacker's Memory with all digivolution and the data unlocked.
Haven't spent 5,000 hours trying to get 100% on both Cyber Sleuth and Hackers memory yet huh?
The true grind is the DS Digimon world, Dawn. / Dusk games where you have to farm elemental type exp to even get some evo lines
Oh that sounds abysmal haha
@@cryptdpumpkn more so when you can't easily access some types for a while depending on which ver of the game too.
Digimon Story Lost Evolution was honestly worse to me… Dawn and Dusk was at least fun.
i can confirm, to get the finall digimons i want i had to farm the post game bosses by lossing in the end on porpose so i can fight the frist bosses again.
Me who's still at the last room before the final boss in Dusk: I'M NOT GONNA LEAVE THIS ROOM UNTIL I GET THAT BANCHOLEOMON!!!
The oddity of Digimon fans is using suffering as a flex
Wait till you see my video in Dark Souls players
@@cryptdpumpkn I was there for the peak of the "git gud" meme, so Im well aware
best part is this is for one game. luke, every other digimon game is wildly different, but each contains more than enough insanity to keep us going!
We are truly blessed to have so many options to degrade our sanity
@@cryptdpumpknI think you really undersold the insanity by not mentioning that W2 had the possibility of permanently fusing digimon in a way that could leave the resulting one without offensive abilities
Digimon is the best Franchise!
I also like Pokémon, but my bigger Love goes to Digimon ❤
I think digimon is severely underrated, I wish more people gave it a chance instead of just thinking it's a pokemon clone
You missed the perfect Jamiroquai pun in Virtual Insanity
I missed my shot haha
@@cryptdpumpkn You were SO CLOSE...
The World games are born from Digimon's roots in Tamagotchi so it helps to know that going in if the person even knows what a Tamagotchi is. The Story games are the more linear RPG games. They still have the crazy digivolution trees and let you de-digivolve so you can really make the perfect team in terms of what Digimon and stats they have. It's what I would recommend to someone who's more into Pokémon and want's to try the series.
The Cyber Sleuth games are pretty good but the only downside is that normal difficulty is pretty easy and hard mode just inflates numbers to the point you'll have to grind for a lot of the boss fights if you don't level up and/or have the right Digimon in your party.
Digimon games typically range pretty heavily from one thing to another but they're typically best described as pet simulator/rpg/fighter games revolving around humans entering the digital world and finding digimon digital monsters creatures created by the human worlds tech and imagination etc and they have to team up to stop an evil person or digimon or both drom destroying teh digital world the real world or both
Digimon sure does love it's big evil guy who wants to destroy both worlds plots! I appreciate the consistency haha
It is theorized that in the animes, many digivolution could be a reflection of the soul of the tamer.
Oh I like that idea!
So if you get Sukamon that means you're a shit person?
I never even thought of the fact that there is an actual Platinum Shitmon...
Its something we never needed but ended up getting lol

I am currently playing Next Order as well(it is my first Digimon game.) Even though it has a learning curve, I have really enjoyed it especially seeing the different evolutions. I also like the story and graphics. While I enjoyed playing Pokémon and really liked Legions Arceus, Digimon is a lot of fun. I am also a very casual gamer.
I think the more digimon games I play in my life the more I find I prefer them to Pokemon. I like both but digimon is just something special
I tried out Next Order some months ago and gotten through the second Machindramon.
I just couldn’t get into it.
I enjoyed Cyber Sleuth, but boy I wish it had elements from Next Order like exploring the digital world, collecting materials, and building that town up.
I think a fusion of the two could go a really long way!
Can confirm: we are.
I'm still trying to get 100% on Cyber Sleuth/Hackers Memory.
Believe in the me that believes in you! You got this!
5:52 "Combat will see you getting more or less paltry results."
Your poor wife, she had to sit through such an in depth explanation from somebody who doesn't even actually know how next 0rder works.
She must have married me for my looks lol
@@cryptdpumpknLate on this one, but the thing about combat in Next Order is that it can be capped on what stage the digimon is at or what value the stat is at
However, if you’re in the sweet spot, which the game doesn’t outright tell you, direct combat can be more efficient than training
Cyber Sleuth, Hacker's Memory, then Survive. Having collected all the Digimon in Survive, I won't be doing the same for the Story games. And still looking forward to the next Digimon Story even though we don't have any info on it.
My connections with Pokémon and Digimon is weird. At first it was both anime and only the Pokémon games. Now it's where I barely catch up on the Pokémon anime while playing both Pokémon and Digimon games.
I don't know the last time I watched the pokemon anime but I do still play the games in rotation with digimon
love accentier playing after you just said we were insane xD
I am here to please haha
Thanks! This has convinced me to never ever play a Digimon game! I was thinking about trying some out, so you’ve really guided me off a dark path here.
If you wanna avoid much of the insanity from this video I would recommend trying Cyber Sleuth instead! It's a lot lighter and easier to digest
@@cryptdpumpkn I’m mostly joking, because this was a fascinating video to watch, but you do make Lobotomy Corporation sound light and easy in comparison to whatever madness you’ve embraced here.
I like Digimon as a concept, and sometimes as a fatming game.
But, something that always felt wrong for me was the partner Digimon. They are often nothing more than a decoration for the tamer, their will, opinions, thoughts and story being mostly pushed to the background, ignored or just make it so they are a mini version of their tamer, making their sentience feel like a huge waste. I wanted a friend, not another pet.
Speaking of pets. It really rubs me the wrong way that I have to take responsibility for what are essentially babies, despite having enough sentience to set up a shop. Like, man, do I really need to keep carrying the diapers for my ultimate Digimon?!
But, in general, I see digimon characters as often being shallow or not interesting aside from maybe looking cool since they are almost never the center of the story nor what they do or say has any weight... unless you are evil and want to destroy the world.
I think I'd be super cool for them to expand on more and more partner dynamics and it'd be neat if they could have at least varying temperaments and natures
If being obsessed with growlmon merchandise makes me insane then so be it
Growlmon is objectively one of the best moms so if you're insane at least you still have great taste
I think you've misunderstood the point of next order and the OG world which are the only 2 digimon games like that. It's more like a roguelike game where each generation you're either building or spending resources in varying degrees based on the different stages, up to ultimate you want to be grinding stats as much as you possibly can through fighting as the gym is a complete waste of time once you hit rookie or sometimes in training if you're base stats are high enough.
You can get a lot more in returns for stat gain from a single in game hour of fighting field mon then you can from spending that hour instantly for some meh gains. Thats also not counting the value of your bit and item drops instead of spending resources in the gym. You also gain a lot more tamer XP from running around fighting field mon and foraging.
Also it's completely possible to hit mega stage on the first generation, it's definitely not gonna be the mega you want unless you're insanely lucky but it'll be a mega. Also for stat retention in next order I guess you don't know that the base stat gain is dependant on the highest ever instead of just the number upon death like dw1 was. Which means you don't need to constanly try and match or overtake you're previous ones tho if you're grinding out field mon then it shouldn't be too hard to do it naturally anyway.
Also as someone who has sunk legitimately thousands of hours into monster taming games over my life I promise you pokemon fans are completely insane too, it's just a different .brand/flavour/color whatever label you wanna give it they're just as crazy as digimon fans, nexomon, fans, coromon fans, maybe not tem tem fans you gotta be really out there for that one.
Oh yeah I get that I'm being a bit reductive but I think this series of insanity videos I'm working on is more about entertainment first and foremost and complete accuracy secondarily. I definitely am not the best at any game or series nor the smartest person in the room, I just play a lot of games and like to have fun lol
I saw the title and I was like the card game, the video game, or the v-pets?
But they're all kinda correct. Different kinds of crazy. Blessed lol.
They all stem from the same tree of insanity lol
@@cryptdpumpkn Yggdrasil?
Absolutely understand the insanity, since I've been hooked on Digimon World 2003 for way over a decade now, haha! Love both series and other monster taming series as well.
Monster taming is one of my favorite things. I played the sonic adventures games but stayed for the Chao lol
I say this as a Digimon fan who has played enough of the games. It just seems Bamco only knows how to make 3 types of Digimon games. Bland grinding hell RPGs, "definition of insanity" farming RPGs, or budget diet smash clones. I really wish they would hand the IP to one of their various other studios who knows how to make a proper game and have them give new breath of life to the series. I just get so disappointed when the devs just pump something out and don't care enough about making it unique or even enjoyable.
Someone at Bandai Namco hire this man, he knows what he's talking about!
Heh this viseo popped up for me and given my Digimon world 3 revisit after years of Pokemon and all the QoL features...Idk what is driving me to keep playing...Guess I too am insane in the Digi-Brain
All the best tamers a bit insane lol
That'a why digimon world is my favorite game of all time. It never feels boring. Gives me the sense of wonder and discovery every time I play it despite knowing the game fully. Evolution is cryptic enough to keep that wonder alive. It's well populated and each screen is memorable with cool ans unique pre rendered backgrounds. I come back to this game more often than any other single player game. I usually get bored or sleepy with rpg at some point despite being my favorite genre. Because no game has gotten as good as the original digimon world. Not even other digimon world games.
I did enjoy the arena battles in Re digitize but I didn't care for the story or the exploration there. I'm about to start next order to see if that one really went back to square one but has you train 2 digimon instead. Here is to hoping it's at least close to the original but I have read otherwise.
I really enjoy digimon games at their core and I really hope they come out with a new one that kinda marries concepts from the prior games
My partner digimon is dokunemon, then snimon, then skullscorpiomon, then pharaohmon as the normal mega and a green hercules kabuterimon as the warp digivolution mega
Sounds like you've got a team that means business!
I've loved every digimon game from 2013 onwards (starting with Digimon World re:digitize decode), I'm personally not a fan of any of the previous games with the exception of world 1.
I'd be cool if bandai remembered they used to release digimon games
I'm so ready for something to stealth launch lol
This is Next Order. Now imagine World 1.
Love both games but f*ck at least Next Order gives you QoL that lets you get specific Digimon you want.
Even guides, till this day, World 1 is a pain to get the Digimon you want.
Oh man I can only imagine! I've seen parts of the older games and they looked rough in a few ways
The fact we didn't know how Digimon world actually worked until like 2021 or so, is insane to me. Any guide written before those years is dubious at best. But nowadays I'm happy to pop into the digimon world and all it's 90's charm knowing full well that the guides don't matter because I'm always getting a centarumon when going for greymon lol
I do like both series about the same but if i had to say Digimon is more consistent while Pokemon has Black and White and the Manga
I love both but I did just buy a digimon vfit haha
I've played Pokemon for the last 20 years.
It's become absolute shit, there isn't a competition in my heart anymore it's just digimon and that weird mutant Pokemon became
I really hope digimon does something big in their next game. I'm ready for a new one
also when it comes down to Digimon VS Pokemon Digimon fans are refering to the Anime Over the games, and Pokemon fans the games over the Anime at least in most Instences.
me i am a fan of boths but i do lean more on the Digimon side despite having more Pokemon games.
Maaaaaaan, this is bringing back so many memories of my time playing Cyber Sleuth. I love the game to death, but LORD did it have it's moments of insanity. "Huh? Why can't Rapidmon become MegaGargomon? ...What are ABI Points...? Oh, I have to devolve them back down? That'll be easy, I just gotta turn him back into a Gargomon and then immediately- HE'S LEVEL ONE AGAIN?!" And don't even get me started on the level grind... And even when I do have a team of level 99 Megas and Ultras, story bosses can sometimes just decide that your Free Trial for fun has expired, and suddenly get about 7 consecutive turns of spamming their strongest attack to utterly flatten your entire team...
It was rough, until I learned that Jesmon's second ability, Weltgeist, can flat out negate all damage against him until his next turn, aaaaand then he pretty much became my "Ash's Pikachu", always on the frontline, always the MVP during those traumatic difficulty spikes, he still remains the leader of my team to this day. Plus, he looks freakin' awesome, so I don't mind that in the slightest lol
Man it's always nice when that definitive partner makes it's way out and you're like oh hey you and me are forever my monster friend
@@cryptdpumpkn Oh absolutely! "Destiny" is the keyword when it comes to Digimon after all(for better or for worse...). Your ideal partner will always find you in the most unexpected of ways - You could draw them and they'd come to life that way, you could get dematerialized and sucked into a virtual pet toy, you could get into a random fist-fight with a monster and end up becoming friends, you could take a modest train ride that... takes you to another world and... turns you... INTO the Digimon... Actually, the show is pretty insane in it's own right too xD
ok but can Eternamax Eternatus beat Zeedmilleniumon though?
40 seconds in and I'm already re-installing next order.
You've made a wise choice!
Next Order and Cyber Slueth have always had me in a choke hold. My main experience with pokemon have been fan games, mainly. I enjoy both, but while one feels like a walk in the park with cute animals, the other feels like a dive into the human condition with a side of trauma and remembering where the bathrooms were when your Digimon decide NOW is the time to unload the 60 pounds of meat they just ate!
I will eternally be traumatized by getting Numemons constantly in the original Digimon World game....
The fact that digimon have to poop has always made me laugh! That is until I get a numemon then the laughter turns into tears
@@cryptdpumpkn Same. I miss the old sounds from the first World game, but I do appreciate the privacy screen they got starting in Re:Digitize moving forward.
The Rocket 'BOOM' in Next Order always gives me a chuckle.
Luckily, Next Order does a difficulty setting and as you progress further into the game you can get digicores that allow you to choose what you partner digivolved to.
@@novasiri7809I like how the porta potties are shaped like swan boats. It’s the little details I appreciate.
Digimon if I remember the time right, it’s at the turn of the hour every 3 hours after waking up unless a Digimon digivolves at which the timer resets.
I finished digimon world next order like last month after playing constantly for a month and kinda dont have much after that other than replaying it so now im on digimon survive 😁
Survive is sooo good! I wanna play it again to get the true ending!
it took me a while but last year i figured out a consistent way to get your mega level digimon to max stats and stay alive and thats by grinding the dimensions aswell as fighting mamaeo for them sweet bits, once you’ve grinded to max bits let the digimon die, with the next generation you can feed them constantly with seraphimon’s food getting the high stats quickly and use something from renamon to keep them alive, had a wargrey and metalgaruru live to their 40’s till i stuffed them with devil chips to unlock new lines
You got it to a science!
@@cryptdpumpkn had to figure it out all myself cause any guide i watched never told me how to max all their stats consistently, only how to get them to high stats
I love both series too.
Right they're both good in the end!
it was particularly difficult in the beginning not having a flow of resources.
Agreed! Those resources in the beginning are quite the pain
I also played this game last year man in the beginning stats grinding is pretty hard until you find a guide to avoid any time wasting
Honestly there have been a few times I've considered it! I finally started hitting megas pretty regularly but I feel like I am still so far away from the stringer megas
I mean to be honest the vpet's were based on tamagotchi's and the core gameplay of those things were the based for digimon world 1 and digimon world next order, so it kinda make sense the game is like that, you should try digimon story cyber slueth, hackers memory and digimon story red:digitize decode
I've played a tiny bit of sleuth before but it's been a while! Might be time to crack open one of those games you mentioned!

I'll have to do that! Thanks for the heads up!
The Digimon franchise as a whole does require a bit of effort to get into. Once you do, I find it well worth it.
When you're patient, caring for your digimon and then rewarded for your due diligence, its the best feeling, it grows on you.
Ken legit played the game like Pokémon. Bro wanted to catch them all
I mean I would catch all the digimon if I could to be fair
Well I must put my two cents, Imagine playing Digimon World in the European Spanish version and try to beat the game as a kid when surprise surprise you cannot rechallenge Ogremon due an error in code during lauch... so the game was softblocked and you could never finish it unless you get a version of digimon from a different region like my neightbor did. When I saw file city with all those new digimon I havent seen ever and I learned as an adult why that happened it was infuriating, I kept the grind tho xD
Oh man that would be crazy annoying! I'm glad you kept up the grind in the end!
Honestly the title fits with almost every Digimon game ever. The worst Digimon game has got to be the Online MMO, Digimon Masters Online. P2W, grindy, full of macros, corrupted staff. Holy shit
The Digimon Story DS games are also pretty grindy and certain areas are just such hard mazes where you enounter a battle every 2nd step…
Digimon World you already explained greatly with Digimon World Next Order.
Digimon Super Rumble(Not Rumble Arena that one is actually more chill) it‘s also a bit the same as DMO in that its pretty p2w and grindy aswell. Along with very bad optimization.
I honestly only ever enjoyed the Digimon Story games and Digimon Masters Online in its early days. The side project of Digimon like Rumble Arena were also nice to play but compared to Pokemon I‘d really have to choose the Pokemon over Digimon(Only for side project). Pokepark and the Pokemon Rumble series was just way nicer. Would be cool if Digimon ever did something in the lines of a Pokepark game. Though I could never imagine a Digimon game being chill.
Edit: I forgot about Digimon Battle Online. Also p2w especially on global release.
I actually hadn't heard about the online game, I hate P2W and I feel like that would have broken my heart to see digimon monetized that way
One of my favorite RPGs is Digimon World 3, and I genuinely can't recommend it to anyone. I've essentially grown to love it even if it's "bad".
Hey as long as it brings joy to you that's all that matters! Everyone has things that bring them their own joy and Digimon World 3 is one or yours!
Such a charming game. I only recommend it if you can speed up combat scenes cause they take a while to move but other than that it's a fun rpg with a unique world and great mechanics. A bit of backtracking and kinda cryptic but worth the time.
Net Driver Hype
Just checked it out and it looks dope!
I mean I'm insane but it's not cuz I play Digimon, it's because I play too many creature collectors.
Pokemon is family friendly, Digimon is pg-13, Shin megami tensei is for adults, and Drakengard/NieR is for the criminally deranged.
I will die on the hill that Drakengard is a creature collector.
the weapons evolve, yes they are alive and feed off blood, and yes there is even something akin to a Pokedex that details the weight and history of each weapon.
I hadnt considered Drakengard but you've given me a lot to consider!
Digimon World can be best described as Tamagotchi for masochists
That'd be a good tagline for their next game lol
Hi digimon fan here

@@cryptdpumpkn yeah almost 9000k hp and mp 2 other are 1,5k stats and every other is around 1,3k and still generation 3 xD before the seconde mugendramon fight
The "sh*t" Digimon are a punishment for players no matter what, but still, Scumon and Numemon can still access to Digimon that were better at the time. Like imagine the first V-Pets, you have a Metal Greymon and your friend has a Metal Mamemon, and then a guy comes with a Monzaemon, the evolution only possible through Numemon. Guess who wins.
If your answer wasn't the poop slime inside a teddy bear costume, then you are wrong, because Monzaemon has better chaces of winning against the two and Mugendramon.
Digimon makes me second guess everything, like how that teddy bear costume can somehow best other mons in its evolution stage lol

You should've thrown in some bits like how digimon get created whenever a new thing drops or event happens. Such as the bad cosplay that gave us betsumon. Or how there's no thing with all the digimon so if you look through some cards or a wiki and see a new favorite I hope you like virtual pets because Mametyrannomon is basically only available on the Digimon X2.
Also lmao get nume'ed
Oh that would've been smart! Too bad I'm not always smart haha
I've been playing through next order and I'd super grind abit not getting Digimon I was aiming for
but there is a bright side you can unlock the digivolution Dojo to lock unwanted evolutions it's So helpfull so you can get Digimon you really want
The dojo is definitely a quality of life booster!
@@cryptdpumpkn I now mostly have dinosaur or Dragon Digimon so like to keep sone branches open for fun
@@omegav1252 I am a sucker for dinosaur digimon I'm not gonna lie! Watching Adventure 2 as a kid had me obsessed with BlackWarGreymon too
@@cryptdpumpkn loved blackwargreymon and omnimon zwart in cyber slueth my next order partners atm are: Zudomon and ChaosGallantmon
Next order is a fantastic disaster, play the switch version on very easy or hate your life. Ive spent way too many hours on next order
You have so much luck, you start for probably the less good Digimon Word (what make you able to enjoy the game more than a loot of people), yes people consider the original Digimon Word (With mods, so it works properly) better than Next Order, and there is another game that dont need anything is better than the original but never get to this side of the globe, because Digimon its allergic to money or they just hate Digimon Word re:digitize.
I think digimon sleeps on a lot of it's potential. Hopefully they do something big soon.
Using the training hall beyond the rookie stage? Beginner mistake.
I'm also a mistake
@@cryptdpumpkn yeah, certain Digimon gives more stats depending on the Digimon, then the stat increasing tamer skills increases how much you can get. By cleverly using your time and fatigue fighting the goblimon in old cableway until the stats run dry then moving on to the hallowed hall for blackgarurumon until those stats max out then moving on to the Psychemon level 20 in the stepstep, this will help you get strong enough to not get Sukamon or Numemon, maybe depending on the ultimate you might get stuck with PlatinumNumemon but that’s cause getting a mega is really hard early game
if you want a more adult and beter executed game but also want to wait tons of years and to wait on the next monster collecting game go digimon. if you want something that gets rushed but instead gets released nearly every year go pokemon. i would say do both. youll find out how good cybersleuth and world ds really where. and while waiting go play some poke.....shin megami tensei
I'm a big Megami Tensei! I think it gets slept on by most audiences but it's a series so worth playing.
@@cryptdpumpkn your super right!!. man i love them so much. i cant wait for smt 5 vengeance on steam
This is a pretty casual and uneducated take of digimon as a whole. It really only applies to the "world" sub-franchise of digimon and most of the complaints are only really relative to the first world game. in next order, after your first digimon's life cycle, you gain access to evolution information EXTREMELY quickly. Not just that but less than halfway into the game you're basically handed every single item to outright choose whatever evolution you want no questions asked.
If you want to complain about a digimon player's sanity, then bringing up that there's never been a truly good digimon game would be a better place to start. Even the best digimon games are 7/10 at best and only TWO are even the same genre as pokemon in terms of playstyle. Comparing it to pokemon is the reason digimon never took off to begin with, outside of having "mon" in the title the franchises are not comparable. The "world" sub franchise is just a console version of tamogachis, which digimon were originally spinoffs of
Very true! I like to make entertaining things that are fairly accurate but I'll never say I'm 100 percent on top of it. But I agree digimon games are really lacking and I just want them to come out with a banger
i am smt fan a digimon you kinda have to be insane to like\play smt
SMT is in my list for an Insanity video down the line!
Sanity is for the weak
All the fun people have a touch of the insanity
“Insane” in a world full of impatient pokemon players who can’t raise their monsters right, cause they don’t have to cause it’ll evolve to the same thing they expected it to be. The World games pretty much prepared you for parenthood and being a personal trainer.
Pokemon fans are spoiled, digimon fans worked to get the monsters we wanted. We live in a pokemon world, we were expecting our desired monster to be serve to us on a silver plater, Digimon says no! You have to earn your desired monsters.
Digimon players aren’t insane. Pokemon players are just lazy and spoiled
I'll agree with digimon basically making you a parent and a fitness trainer in one haha but I am not sure I'd call all pokemon players entitled and lazy. That being said pokemon at a majority is much easier and I think that's cuz the primary audience is children where I think digimon is catered more towards young adults
@@cryptdpumpkn Nah, calling Digimon players insane for being good at the game is crazy man and Digimon was also catered for children as well, its just recently they started to also consider their adult demographic, cause yeah the young audience is still there, but it really should be targeted for older and mature fans
Videogames are definitely Digimon's weak point.
I really hope their next big game is a banger
Skill Issue the game.
I'd say it starts off more like a knowledge issue but after your first couple hours it does genuinely become a skill issue.
Like please, just take a moment between training to see how your Digimon are faring and talk to Gigimon (the little red guy in the gym) to lower your Digimon's exhaustion meter.
Preferably before the first exhaustion icon shows up because iirc that does indicates that some lifespan was lost because of it.
Doesn't help that the game can get confusing for some long time fans too, since the gym used to be your main source of training in older games, but the range in how strong the enemies get in this one is so large that it's not viable to be there with your limited life cycle still going.
glad i watched this cuz I'm currently playing through Digimon Survive with some friends, and Cybersleuth by myself, and being that Next Order is the last Switch digimon game i would need to get, good to know what the fuck i'd be getting myself into beforehand
I'm definitely over dramatic but it can be frustrating for sure. Overall though I still recommend playing it as it's a pretty solid game and I had a lot of fun!
@@cryptdpumpkn oh for sure, Im still planning on joining the insanity
Honestly I think this whole video is a massive overexaggeration, yes digimon games can be grindy but only if you're looking for something very, ultra specific, they are rpgs after all. There is no insanity in that, it's just playing a game and looking for somehting cool... You should have definitively also mentioned the origins of digimon as v-pets/tamagotchi to make it more clear the whole raising monster part and also the separation between digimon story games and digimon world games.
For example, I'm playing through Digimon Survive right now and I am not finding it either grindy or insane.
I mean I am pretty overdramatic lol
@@cryptdpumpkn Nothing wrong with that haha. I just wasn't expecting it when I clicked on the video. Please take my criticism as constructive, I love seeing more people talk about my favourite series online!
@@abelg9053 oh yeah I'm a constructive criticism person so I really appreciate the time you take to interact with my content to be honest.
I hope you enjoy stuff I have planned down the line!
Digimon as a story is better, pokemon games are better
Now if only we could mix them
Digimon world 3 was peak game design. The digivolution requirements were simple and your mons worked like they do in the show by reverting back to rookies
Now it’s all about giant collections with farms and I’m like “I don’t want 40 digimon and choose 5, I want 3 that can have multiple forms”
Oh I really like the fact that they revert back to rookie! It's always cool to me when games emulate the shows closely.
Digimon is cooler, the games suck. Pokemon is booooooring, the games are fun
I think I agree with this to an extent
@@cryptdpumpkn we need a Digimon game where you play as the Digimon and don't just watch the Digimon battle some bullshit
@@mastatheif9909soo digimon world 3 and 4?
@@bowserfriend what games are those? And can I play them without a emulator
10 Years ago i would have said Pokemon has the better games and Digimon the better Show. BUt nowadays i say Pokemon games suck equally as much as Digimon and the Pokemon Anime has gotten a lot better. Sooooooo.........
Have you checked the reboot of digimon? It's pretty solid!
